  1. I think it was a '70s fad also...I remember seeing cars like these in Hot Rod magazine as kid.. I totally agree, my hot rod mags show this was a 70's thing. Very big as I do remember seeing a few of them around Seattle then. Always loved them. American Mini's
  2. H'mmm 5 years at least makes sense and if they truly replace xts in 5 years it will keep it fresh and interesting for people and buyers. Question for your, being Friday morning and having been up for 6hrs already running on 2hrs sleep, SORP = ??????? EMC has an achronym web page as they have like 800 used. So I am mind blank on what it stands for.
  3. Betcha is has a Cummins!!!
  4. Hello, yes this is a common problem in washington state, The squires and other rodent type animals seem to find these type of Antennas as a great place to chew to keep their teeth from growing to long. If you watch I bet you will find some rodent has found that he likes the flavor of nawing on your antenna.
  5. And Leaders wonder why the people are rising up against them.
  6. I agree with SAmadei, America first. Just as VW, BMW, MB, Toyota, Honda, etc all have the majority of their engineering work done in their home country with styling from around the world. I see no reason not to have the majority of work done on the global platform here in america and then tweak it for the rest of the world. Opel is a blood sucking leech and needs to be erradicated. Then you can focus spending money on quality built products to ship around the world. QUALITY products created here in America, built around the world for specific markets. Streamlined auto language with a natural upgrade story of Chevy, Buick and luxury caddiac
  7. Yes bette constructed vehicles is the reason for lower deaths and seatbelts, yet were do we cross the line in letting technology protect us too much? Will this over protection make humanity loose it edge to push forth and explore new frontiers?
  8. The current Accord has arguably the best driving dynamics of any midsize car and is still at or near the top of its class even at the end of its life cycle. To some people and clearly you must love it based on your comment. I myself have seen the current selling Accord and a relative has multiple of them, but they are bland, dull and too small inside for 6'6" tall me. The dash reminds me of what everyone complains about american cars. Just a plastic mess. Sorry, Honda has the basic appliance down for solid bland cars and I do not see that changing anytime soon. Sadly they appeal to what I see as conservative bland people.
  9. Cheers, this lovely style would be a big hit for GM now. They need a stylish 2 person small car and this could have led GM to better small cars long ago.
  10. Yes I totally understood that and it is a stupid idea. people will forget to keep it charged and when they need their owners manual it will not be available. They will leave it in the house, play with it or probably recover a thousand dollars by selling it. The cost of this is far greater I am sure than having the owners manual online in the NAV unit or as an app that can install into all smartphones. Dumb Dumb Move by GM.
  11. I would so love to take my cars and race on the milford proving grounds.
  12. Jeers, plastic hell that will break once heavy use is put on it and it is now way a collectors item. Best left as a history note in the books.
  13. Yes we were hella lot skinner back then, but this baby deserves to be loved.
  14. XTS is a 5-10 year car to the public and really focused as a fleet whore.
  15. Opel needs to die just like my lovely Hummer. If Chevy, Buick, Caddilac are to be global, then no need for opel. They could kill it off saving hundreds of millions, convert the dealers to models that GM is pushing globally and focus on a smaller portfolio that can support and grow with profits. No reason not to turn Opel into GM of Europe and have them create certain cars but under a smaller focus.
  16. Very cool, way to go! Congrats this is a big deal for anyone. If it was easy we all would be published. I am very happy and excited for you.
  17. True, but what would be even better is for GM to already have this going down the production line so they can grab all the few buyers there already are as once the bulk of them spend coin, th rest will have development dollars sitting on the lots.
  18. wow, this will be interesting. Paying MB for a car that will compete with MB. I can see the auto mags now. Cookie cutter of the MB a series, same problems, same stange road handling manners. Better body style or worse body style. Plastic interior bland compared to superior MB A version. on and on and on. It will be interestingto see what they bring out. The image above and others on the internet have not made me go wow yet.
  19. I think this would be bad for GM as the as the last thing they want is to have Buick ovelaping with Caddilac. Even if you say soft lux versus sport lux. No Buick needs to stay where it is as a Mid Lux builder. Keep it proper with Chevy to Buick to Caddilac.
  20. More Yawns is what Honda has to offer. They have no mojo as they are totally asleep.
