Other stuff I've been eyeballing
G. David Felt replied to Camino LS6's topic in Auctions and Classifieds
Bummer that is a nice clean ride over all even with being used for plowing duty. -
Saw me the first Ford Transit CNG Taxis in Seattle today. Pretty cool little people haulers. Very impressed with the layout.

Industry News: Another Delay For The Fisker Atlantic
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
I have a gut feeling that this will all go away and the company will be nothing more than a foot note in history like the DeLorean. -

Industry News: Another Delay For The Fisker Atlantic
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
Based on reading the original Reuters story and searching around on the net it would seem they are hurting in many ways and that this delay is due to many things including I wonder if certain automakers might not be putting pressure on them. Makes me think of Tucker Torpedo all over again. -
Sweet Looking ride, needs a little love but clearly a good base truck to work from.

Check out this board of COE Love and some of the really funky works in progress. There is one with what looks like a V12 in the back behind the cab and another COE that seems like they are grafting on an Aluminum travel trailer body. Some cool sweet rides. http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=print&thread=67533

I totally agree with Ocnblu, Anyone buying these micro cars need to seriously consider putting down at least 20% or more as I have a gut feeling we will see their value drop as my internal gut tells me these small cars while needed are a niche market that once satisfied will have a glut of cars sitting around. I actually do not see America flocking to these auto's in the volume of hundred of thousands that everyone is thinking will happen.

I wish. This was back in the days shortly after they invented film. The car was a light metallic blue with a black interior. The exterior was very unassuming. I don't think it even wore any engine displacement emblems. Cough Cough, sounds like a tall fish story! JK

Hate to come back to the forum like this
G. David Felt replied to the_yellow_dart's topic in The Lounge
WOW, I feel for you as this just stinks of people not wanting to be accountable. Everyone is trying to push the buck to someone else so it does not hit their bottom line when they screwed the pooch. I say stick in there and demand they honor the powertrain warranty and cover the poor diagnose and cost at the first dealership. Good Luck. -
GM News: Rumorpile: Is There More To The GM-PSA Deal?
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
I would agree with that, bring the tech and the sweet Adam in CNG form back to the US and let the freefall happen and then go back in with superior products and fresh plants that are not the socialist mess they took on.- 4 replies

VW News: Scratch The 2013 Launch Date For The Next Golf
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
This is more a money saving move as the over all outlook in Europe for auto sales and the rest of the world is not bright. Delaying with a slower roll out saves them money and allows them to look at ways to use the global slow down to reduce excess capacity of manufacturing. There is more to this than what is being stated. -
Industry News: Will The Tata Nano Be Sold In The U.S.?
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
If it ran on CNG, though, you'd be all excited by it, though. Actually NO, I would not want this auto here period even on CNG. I do not see these for more than an inner city golf cart equal and I fear that the people who buy them are trading in their life for a car that is not safe especially going over 35mph. -
Industry News: Will The Tata Nano Be Sold In The U.S.?
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
If it meets US regulations then welcome to the market, but personally I think this is a coffin on wheels and I see no purpose in having such small auto's on our freeways. I only see more auto deaths due to the lack of protection and the lack of driving skills the youth who would buy these have. Then you have the cheap and poor who buy it and then do not take care of it. I see this as another YUGO Nightmare. Only this time it is called NANO by TATA. -
Altima / Nissan is hoping to blind people with their chrome so you miss all the other shortcomings of this auto.

Back again...GS style this time
G. David Felt replied to caddycruiser's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
Awesome pictures, will have to show the wife so I can convince her to let me put a set into the trailblazer. Those are much nicer than I have seen in the ads, just seems to be better to see it in someones auto. Love the look of the ride. You have a sweet ride as Ocnblu has stated. Thanks again, look forward to hearing about the trip this weekend on how it handled and the gas mileage.
