Audi News: Audi Q3's Arrival Into The U.S. Gets Delayed
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
Lame..they to get rid of the double standard and have one standard for cars and trucks. FWD CUVs aren't trucks. Trucks are trucks and I think they need to clear this up so that CUV's FWD, AWD or RWD are not allowed to have Light Truck status. I understand a real SUV, Body on frame full size SUV being listed as a light truck. But these UniBody CUV's are NOT Trucks. -
Cadillac News: 2015 Cadillac Escalade Live Reveal
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
WOW, Does the nose scream MB or what for a full size SUV. Guess if MB did ever make a full size SUV this is what it would look like. Over all I really like the look and disagree with Paolino about the rear 3/4 view. Lovely lines, Great interior. Just need to see if it will actually fit a 6'6" tall man since their current Escalade does not. -
Audi News: Audi Q3's Arrival Into The U.S. Gets Delayed
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
Seems to me that this is saying it is not fuel efficient so they need light truck rating to get it into the US without the gas guzzler penalty. -
Interesting that they went with the single CD player in the glove box again. I wonder if the HD storage will get bigger. They must figure people will transfer music via the USB jack more than via the CD player. Or can you transfer music via the CD?

Weird, look forward to hearing what caused this.

BMW News: BMW Thinks About All-Wheel Drive For M Cars Again
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in BMW
AWD is superior handling and for anyone who had driven performance while there is a kick in your pants feel of rear wheel drive only, you get to a point where the only way to get the power to the ground and for it to connect up is AWD. Yes some purest will say only RWD is the true sports car, but for those that have driven 500HP monsters in AWD you still get the same suck in the gut feel as you accelerate in an AWD animal. I hope on the next generation or sooner GM will offer AWD on the V line.- 2 replies

Biggest one day stock drop due to auto Fire in Seattle Suburb

Tesla CEO says fire caused by impaled battery http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2021966757_apusteslafire.html?syndication=rss Good read. -
Their noobs for thinking that putting fake vent ports on a BMW is cool and makes it better.

A REAL FRIEND tells them to try something else. Toyota, Nissan and Honda have all fallen far behind in comparison to everyone else that finally stepped up their game and build superior same class auto options. I would insist that someone check out the other brands as Toyota is resting on their history of High Mileage reliable auto's and I challange them on that.

I have seen many MB interiors that are in worse shape than American auto's. So I do not think they have the market on best in class interiors.

Cadillac News: First Look - Cadillac Escalade Interior
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
Agreed Z man, you are so right about that we find people nit picking about something like a shifter compared to the rest of it which we have not seen yet. I amexcited for monday based on the partial image I saw of the Escalade at the 2014 Fleet & Commercial show GM did in seattle back in July. -
High income people are not going to be comparing XTS to the Impala. They will look at the XTS and compare it to Lexus, Infinity, MB, BMW, Acura, but not Chevy. Personally the XTS is amazing, I just wished we had the Chinease version with the extra 12" of leg room for the rear passengers that they do in China. Love the space for us big guys and I would think the Private car drivers would love to have this over a full blown Limo.

Agree with you on the Stingray, so happy that the wagon versio is going into production for the Stingray.

Biggest one day stock drop due to auto Fire in Seattle Suburb
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Tesla
Thanks Ocnblu, some just do not understand how safe CNG is as a cheap alternative fuel step away from regular gas. Back on subject, It will be interesting to see how GM and other companies deal with this press and how they will change design to add further protection to the battery pack. Plus the need to educate firedepartments on how to fight these fires. Sadly in the news last night a fire department in Eastern washington said that since not all fire departments have dry chemical to extinguish these specialty fire that they would have to consider restricting sales of them in their little town till they could afford proper training and materials. I had to shake my head at that as it shows much ignorance about the auto's. -
Regal GS which was a supercharged sedan was awesome and plenty of them around at least here in Washington. So you do not feel the need to have a performance sedan in the buick family? Buick has the Verano turbo and can add the 3.6L turbo to the Lacrosse if needed. I don't see the need for the Regal in the U.S. market. I wouldn't mind seeing a Riviera coupe developed off Alpha. Why not have the Regal a 2 door sports coupe with two engine options, Turbo 4 and then the twin turbo V6. They could do also an AWD HO Twin Turbo V6 and call it the Grand National!

Biggest one day stock drop due to auto Fire in Seattle Suburb
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Tesla
Latest story on the fire here in Seattle of this Tesla is an interesting read. Wish I had picked up stock at $35 a share at the start of the year. I might not be a fan of electric auto's but I do like good stock rise and right now even with the pull back it still has a 400% gain for the year. We'll everyone needs a full moon some days!

I am excited by them but will stick with what I have for now till I see how they do. Course never know something totally radicall could happen and make the engine obsolete sooner than any of us might expect.
-
Very sweet to see that this will go into production. We loved it on here back in March 2013 http://www.cheersandgears.com/topic/81323-callaways-2014-corvette-stingray-aerowagon/ Rock On Callaway!

Biggest experiance with them is the Regal GS which is very popular in Seattle and has been a solid car. You find plenty on the road around here. Also aftermarket upgrade kits and the Toyota TRD Supercharge kit on plenty of 4 runners and Tacoma's here so you hear the Whine all the time and it is exciting to drive one that just fly's low to the ground. Superchargers could be a northwest thing also as I grew up with them here since the 70's.
