BMW will Hurt not Help their image with FWD in the US. This is DEAD on Arrival for them as a FWD appliance.

I would rather have a dodge challenger RT over this car.

Or Pedigrees are lost. Great info on your rental of the car, but it sounds like it left you empty. Nothing to really strike a cord of memory. Nice solid auto's can build a reputation as we have seen how many lemmings buy Camry another non inspiring auto. So #1 thing that stuck in your mind about the car as a positive and #1 thing as a negative now that you have spent time behind the wheel?

Jeep News: Jeep Cherokees Are Heading Out Soon
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
Interesting, so I wonder if the Odometer is disconnected or are they going to discount these units that have miles built up on them? At the Seattle Auto show the man who was talking about the Trail Hawk edition of the Cherokee said deliveries would show up on dealer lots in January. He for the most part never said more than arriving soon at a jeep dealer near you but when pushed by people always defaulted to January as the availability time frame. -
GM News: GM Dealers Not Pleased About Pickup Prices
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
I think these dealers are cry babies and just trying to get an easy way to make a sale. Comparing the New Chevy/GMC trucks to the old Fords and Rams is like comparing night to day. They are huge steps above and if the only customers buying are the cheap skates, that is a customer you can avoid with good reason. People who really compare the trucks will see that the new trucks are worth the price and way ahead of the old 2013 models. -
Yup agree with everyone here that the TT V6 would be a great starter motor, then go to a natural V8 and have a TT V8 for the high end. Course I would miss the wine of that supercharger.

WOW, this was a great write up but the car leaves me dead on arrival. Just a rebadge of the Toyota and non inspiring. So many other auto's that are far more inspiring than this is.

Morning the loss of the 1 series, wow that writer is clearly smoking to much BMW Weed.

Chevrolet News:Chevrolet Announces The 2015 Bi-Fuel Impala
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
The benefit of having an auto switch system which you have with Versus conversion kits or others out there is that you run on the fuel you are currently burning and when your tank is empty it seamlessly switches over to the other gas and continues to run. No stopping, dying of the motor with a manual change over switch. This way you just drive the auto and it can move back and forth between CNG / Petrol depending on which tank is currently full for use. -
Chevrolet News:Chevrolet Announces The 2015 Bi-Fuel Impala
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
At the Seattle auto show, they made this announcement which drove considerable interest and questions. One thing that was different than what is stated here is that the system would be auto switching between the two fuels. So I am wondering which is correct the manual change over or the auto change over? Computers today allow the CNG Conversion kits to seamlessly move back and forth between the two fuels. I do not see why GM would go with a manual system. I have to think this is a mistake as the folks at the Seattle Auto Show said it was a auto system that would go back and forth between the two fuels. Seamless driving up to 500 miles. -
So just finished a conversion adding CNG to a Toyota Land Cruiser. So it is now bi-fuel and it runs so much smoother and better on the CNG than on the Petrol. CNG is standardized at 3600 PSI, you loose no MPG unlike Ethanol, E85 and other green gases that also lower Torque and HP. CNG give more HP and Torque. Type 4 tanks are not that much heavier. Yes if you use a type 1 tank you add hundreds of pounds of weight unlike a Carbon Fiber Type 4 tank or type 3 tank. Over all CNG is superior to using LPG, E85 or Ethanol. If you add CNG to Diesel it gets even better, Diesel's that are converted almost double their MPG, add considerable Torque and HP and since you run a 50/50 mixture you reduce your fueling cost. At Drew mentioned, if you purchase a Home Fueling system such as a Fuel maker FMQ 2-36 you lower your fueling from home. I fuel at 85 cents per GGE (Gas Gallon Equivalent). The local Fast Fill's around Seattle run from $1.90 to $2.20 per GGE. CNG gives the same MPG so you really do not loose any range unless you are replacing a oversized tank than you will since the CNG tanks do take up a bit more space. Yet on full size trucks and SUV's you can easily double your range. I am not done with my Suburban conversion yet, but I have the original 44 gallon Gas tank good for 500+ miles on Petrol and I have added a 42 gallon CNG tank so I should be able to pretty much drive from Seattle to LA without having to stop and fill up or for comfort just stop once. GM News, Chevy IMPALA 2014 model will be available as a CNG, CNG/Petrol Bi-Fuel or just Petrol starting in March of 2014. Great news for everyone.

Buick News: Rumorpile: Buick's Powertrain Plans

With AWD the Encore should have at least 250HP and 275lbs. -
Nice Job Dodgefan, great way to keep the intrepid looking HOT!

I like, if it is brighter and lasts longer I have no problem with exchanging a bulb for an LED equal. I think in some cases, older auto's look better once they have LED tail lights and headlight systems. Plus lower draw on the electrical needs of the old wiring harness.

How about a torque monster 4.8L Diesel with a 9 or 10 sp tranny. I would love to see the VOLT power train in this line up also and CNG options.

Jeep News: Jeep Cherokees Still Waiting On Fix For Transmission
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
After seeing the Jeep in person last night, I have changed from not liking it to liking it. It actually looks way better in person than in the pictures. Very nice auto. While some will hate the CUV UniBody, I suspect it will not affect them having gone from BOF to Uni. Fit and Finish is great on the one at Seattle International Auto Show. -
Weird, I was going to throw up 10 pics before I head out the door and they are all around 3 to 3.5mb in size and the limit is 200MB on a single file. Drew any idea why?

Howdy all, So will aim to get some photo's posted tomorrow, heading out to the show as it was a late night getting the booth setup since they were behind in getting carpet down and wall built. I did walk around last night and took pictures of the new Jeep Cherokee and have to say that in person this jelly bean is actually really nice and I have changed to liking it now. It was a gun metal grey with lots of metallic and had the off road package. Really sweet. The show this year is amazing, the best I have ever seen it. GM has gone all out and the new Tahoe/Subrburan and Yukon/XL/Denali's are on display which surprised me and the new trucks including the HD 1 ton dually up on a pedestal. I took a picture of the Yellow Mustang and Stingray. They are amazing. The new Spark EV is here and the list goes on and on. Will have to take some breaks so I can walk around and take more pictures.
