  1. This makes one wonder if the CEO has decided to attack every little thing and get over the issues even the smallest so they can move forward with bullet proof line of auto's. At least I am hoping this is the thinking.
  2. That is stupid to walk away form 23% market sales. I know many who have the old AWD full size vans and want another but nothing is out there and they do not want a CUV or SUV. GM is making a mistake in not supporting this porduct with a half ton van.
  3. Most people in Italy cannot even afford what this car will cost.Alpha should die, bad reputation and just use the body on a Chrysler auto.
  4. You have to watch out where you go in NJ just like Oregon. Both states passed laws saying it was too dangerous for you to pump your own gas and have others pump it for you. Sadly you get idiots that spill on the side of the car, do not really fill up your tank and just about worst service ever. It is pathetic that the politicians of those states think they are smarter than the average person and must protect you from fueling.and Oregon is extreme conservative and last time I was in NJ a couple years ago it was crazy liberal. so just proves both sides are nuts. Like a gun, hands off fueling my ride!
  5. Just as bad as Ford having to lower their MPG rating on their auto's each year due to lying in the testing process.
  6. Agree, those donut wheels could be part of the extra squishy ride you get above 25 mph. They could go with a bigger rim and less side wall and have a better ride on top of increasing the size. I am sure the size had something to do with meeting a certain MPG.
  7. This will get a select group excited and sell these models, but with their history of poor reliability, they will not be able to grow this name at all. DOA, they need to merge Alfa, Maserati and Ferrari into one product line.
  8. Maroon was my favorite color. Please post photo's would love to see it.
  9. Costco has Premium at $3.91 per gallon and the average for gas stations is $4.49 per gallon for Premium. Crazy prices as to why I am converting my Suburban that was built up and uses premium to run on CNG. Better all the way around.
  10. That is why they just need to kill off the Fiat name and move those eco cars into Chrysler as the entry level and then build a high end car for the name. Ram is more than just 1 pickup as you have from standard cab to crew cab same with the van line so they are fine. Dodge is the performance line now so with Viper, Challanger, Charger and Dart SRT, I actually think this is a smart move for Dodge. Jeep is solid and fine. Their Ubber luxury is where they need to merge and combine under one roof with one under pinning to reduce cost, increase profits. At the current rate they are going, I expect FCA to either have to sell off a model line or two or declare bankruptcy in 5-7 years. If they do not change the way they handle the brands they will loose just like MB did and any other auto company that does not consolidate and standardize platforms.
  11. WOW, Diesel here in Washington state is currently averaging $4.21 a gallon. Regular unleaded is $3.78 a gallon and CNG is $2.09 a gallon.
  12. All of mine are still registered / licensed. So I be good with it. Though I do love driving my 94 suburban the most. Cannot wait till I finish the conversion to CNG so I can drive it all the time.
  13. They need to NOT waste billions on Alfa and accept having it as a performance package under a better marketable name. I agree with the Analyst, they do not have the money to support 9 core brands. They will end up having to sell off and fail if they go down this road as FCA needs to realize where their money is best spent. They should learn from GM and consolidate brands, focus on specific core brands. Jeep - off road RAM - trucks Dodge - Performance Chrysler - mid market Fiat - fold into Chrysler as their eco line. Luxury - Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ferrari - Call it the AMF group This would give 5 core groups and each group builds off a universal platform to reduce cost. If they truly try to keep each name plate as stand alone divisions with their own unique underpinnings, they will blow billions and loose.
  14. I think GM handling of this is good and proper. If a family of a lost loved one seems to think they can get 10's of millions, then they deserve to loose out as GM is doing a great job on dealing with what was hidden. Glad to see that the lawyers who made the decision on the switch were terminated along with the admins who processed the issues and knew about it.
  15. Question as I have always wondered. Is the inside capable of being washing out? Take a hose and hose out the inside or did Nissan take into account an easy way to clean the inside to keep it fresh smelling and clean? Today it is a game of chance that you get a taxi that is clean and smells nice and does not have stains on the seats, etc. I was wondering if they had addressed ease of cleaning the inside of this taxi especially since it can have wheel chairs which can bring in all kinds of dirt and crud.
  16. Just realized my average age for all my auto's is 12.25. Not bad, Not bad at all!
  17. I believe this will make GM a far better company in the long run with their awesome CEO at the wheel! Go GM!!!
  18. Awesome, thanks again Roger!
  19. I thought it was out of the gate, why oh why GM. The engines are tried and tested ship them now!

  21. After coming across the Hyundai Fuel Cell page and finding out today June 11th was the start of leases, I wondered what the cost was at the 20 hydrogen station in California. Prices run from $4-$5 a gallon. So the free fuel is a great deal for the people who lease these white autos. But does it make sense for these too expensive to sell auto's compared to the much lower cost of CNG autos? I also wonder how the public will respond to sitting on a 10,000 psi tank of Hydrogen.
  22. G. David Felt Alternative Fuels & Propulsion writer www.CheersandGears.com Tucson Fuel Cell Leases Start! Hyundai started today leasing the Tucson Fuel Cell CUV in California. These leases include fuel and maintenance for 36 months. The first one rolled off the lot according to Hyundai this morning. 36 – Month Lease $2,999 due at lease signing $499 a month The Tucson is rated at 265 mile range on a tank full of Hydrogen. It takes 10 minutes to fully fuel the Tucson compared to current EVs that can take from 30 min with a level 3 charger to 14 plus hours on a 110V charging system. California is allowing those with Fuel Cell auto’s to use the HOV lanes.
