Wish I could but Washington state has PSE for western washington and Avista for eastern washington and the gov sets the rates. No competition allowed or available. The only other option is to add Solar to my roof as the state has a mandate that the local power company has to buy back any unused power and I could put up enough panels to power my needs so it would be almost zero cost except for the roughly $15K it would cost to purchase and install it. Some time down the road once the wife graduates college.

This will be interesting to watch as they need to keep current prices to keep what customers they do have but also grow other market niches and that could be by going downstream and upstream. Not sure if upstream is really the best place for them so if the XC90 is to be a new more expensive luxury product. Be interesting to see how they achieve it and what the marketing message ends up being. Either a savior move for them or self destruction. So this is an interesting soap opera to watch!

That would play well for GM to gain sales for those that love a convertible.

Cadillac News: Cadillac's Elmiraj Concept "Is Very Doable”
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
Hard to say as having a 2 door this big while very cool is not in the norm right now nor does it play well with the current parking trends for small auto's. Be interesting to see where Cadillac goes from here with it.- 24 replies

Chevrolet News:Rumorpile: Corvette Z06 To Become Z07
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
Z06 or Z07 this will sell pretty well. -
I suspect that with the next update to the Audi product line, then we will see the Phaeton come here as it will reduce the cost to produce being on a shared plateform. Over all VW needs to keep in mind that their customers for the most part are budget minded and so a luxury version I suspect will not sell well if it is overloaded and overpriced. What I remember is that many liked the VW Phaeton but thought it was over priced for what you got at least here in Seattle.

My house is almost all LED now and I love it since most of my lighting has been changed to be indirect daylight equal so it is nice and bright and yet easy on the eyes. I have noticed my usage has gone down though the power company has raised rates so I am pretty much breaking even. Yet if I was still on the old lights, I would have seen a large increase in cost.

In some cases, the auto makers just are not providing what the public really wants. I can tell you GM would move a ton of full size SUV's aka Suburbans and Yukon XL's if they had it with a diesel v8. Better would be cng available or a hybrid VOLT style.

Posting of this old new and nary a word on the first reviews of the CTS? Anyone with any real intent on bidding is well aware of this event with the coverage it already has had. Hyper there is still plenty of us that want to dream though we cannot afford to bid and buy. -

The pictures are pretty cool to look at as it is amazing to see they left all the shipping material on most of the new auto's so they are in sweet shape. -

I will never give up my natural gas range, cooking is awesome and way better than electric can ever be. Pasta does boil over but should be easy to control and Rice cook it in a proper rice cooker.

I wonder how long before we see a consolidation in the Luxury segment as only so many cars can be consumed on this planet? Wonder who might go away and who might just become a specialty segment for a bigger auto company?

Or due to the EPA and Auto companies pushing to have air streamed jelly beans we have lost the ability to have nice designs that people like so people are holding onto what they like and making them last since it is cheaper.

The push to have higher minimum wage jobs is not going to help but hinder people spending money. If the idiots that feel minimum wage should be higher only looked at the bigger picture they would realize that McDonalds, Denny's etc were never meant to be full time life long jobs. It was a job to get you going while you looked for something better, got educated or showed you could work hard to go into a assistant mgmt job. These are starter jobs and we need as low as possible minimum wage to get kids to learn how to work and work the fast food jobs. If someone wants to be a burger flipper for life that is fine then they will have to accept a lower standard of living and not expect to ever own a house or nice new car.

Most Important Recent Releases 9/16/2013
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in The Lounge
2014 Tahoe/Yukon if they have them. For Cadillac I would be interested if they show the latest version of CUE and how it works compared to past efforts. -
Went for a drive with the wife and we stopped in Enumclaw Washington before driving up to Mt. Rainier for Breakfast. Discovered they had a huge old auto show that covered just about everything from the Model A Ford up to the 70's. Covered 6 city blocks and 3 huge parking lots. I ended up spending a couple hrs with the wife walking around and snapping pictures. The wife was really impressed with this pretty Red Cab over and the wood bed that showed a lot of TLC. Will get images posted this week. Some amazing rides from all over the world.
