Yea, I thought this study and finding was crock, hell I grew up riding in the back of Pickup Trucks holding onto the dog and drinking out of cups that had Lead paint on them and do not forget our awesome old station wagons that as kids we played in the back with toy's not in a car seat or held by a seatbelt. Everything can kill ya, I doubt this will do it any faster.

As I have stated in the past this was the WRONG Dilution of the Denali brand. $37,775 for a Denali Terrain with AWD and V6. WAY TOO MUCH! If they wanted something special in this small package, it would have been better to do a Black Ice Edition. Metallic All Black Monochromatic paint job with Black Chrome 19" wheels and fully loaded inside. Blacked out windows. This would be worthy of a $35K AWD small CUV. This is NOT the right way to go, FAILURE for GMC! Very sad. Only Denali worth it was the FULL Size Yukon XL and the Sierra trucks.

Would be nice, but I don't see that happening...it seems most Americans today want small, bland silver or white FWD sedans w/ automatics. The coupe market (beyond a small sporty/performance niche and a smaller luxury niche) is dead. I disagree with you Cubical. Right now the Coupe market is taking a breather. Just like everything, there is a cycle and people might be focused on families and CUV's but lots of people as kids get out of the house look to have a fun coupe to drive. I know I will be considering one in the near future depending on what is available. The Ecoboost does just fine when you keep out of the Turbo. People want their cake and to eat it too... if you use more pedal, you use more gas, why is that hard to understand? I got 27MPG out of an AWD MKS Ecoboost on the highway. That is a great number for a big, heavy, AWD sedan, with 350 hp and gobs of torque. That is good mileage for the MKS and while you get mileage, you have the power fun factor. So this brings up the long life issue. Right now even in small turbo models that I have driven and this does not include the last few years, but older small turbo's were great till you hit 100K and then ability to move the auto sucked. I wonder about the life factor of these small turbo motors. Can they pull 250K or 350K miles on a small 4 or 6 cylinder turbo motor?

We'll see...it seems like a long term trend as far as coupes going away...a lot fewer now than 10, 20, 30 years ago... True, but this is also due to consolidation in manufactures and the baby boom from the baby boomers. I think Coupes will make a come back as people retire.

Dodgefan nice job on all the work you have done so far to date on your car. Very impressive. I am shocked to what the road salts do to a car back there. We do not use roadsalt here in Seattle,but then you either have AWD for winter or do not drive when it snows as they use worthless Enviromental Green liquid solution. But the salt really ate up your suspension. Again, my compliments to you on an outstanding job on your project car. Happy Motoring.

Be interesting to see the gas mileage on a TT-V6. So many people talk about how great you can get the power of a V8 with TT-V6, yet if you enjoy the power like a V8 the TT-V6 gives worse gas mileage. So be interesting to see what people average in real world driving. I know the Turbo EcoBoost by Ford gets lots of praise, but people are also complaining about the mileage which shows if you have your foot into it, your mileage suffers. Turbocharged and supercharged engines require premium fuel. Huh... There are quite a few that do not. I thought depending on boost and the tuning you could have lower output solutions run on regular and as you push the boost north with better tuning, you have to run premium. At least that is what I was taught by my dad about boosted cars.

What's the matter with that? That's what the Cobalt SS had. True, I really liked the looks of the Cobalt SS supercharged version. The sound really is nice, I see plenty of them around seattle, but maybe it is the setup as I see young people driving them and when ever they step on it, wheel spin and sideways movement rather than power down, straight line blast. Just sad to have so much power and not really be able to get it to the pavement. Course it could also be all those young kids not knowing how to drive power also. So far, while fun, I have not really found a car since my 91 Escort GT that was really fun to drive with power in a FWD configuration. Just does not seem to have the kick in the pants fun factor. But I am willing to test drive and assess if this car can deliver!

That is too funny, We should start a thread on popular names and what they really mean! FORD = Failure on Race Day MOPAR = Mostly Old Parts and Rust GM = Generation Midlife Chevy = Buick = GMC = Pontiac = Saturn = Oldsmobile = Mercury = Lincoln = Dodge = Plymouth = Etc. we could have so much fun with this. I know there are some not PC versions but they are funny. Shucks = O'Rielly's = PEPBOYS = Be creative and come up with a blast of new name meanings.

Is that not why you then upgrade the system to aftermarket performance versions to resolve said issues? Because of the New Manly body design language or the diesel? Well I already did a review of the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo and really enjoyed the car. I like anything diesel, so I expect I would enjoy the Beetle TDI even more. That review Rocked It will be good to have you recap the Turbo and compare it to the Diesel when it is available. Two fun Performance rides.

Interesting, give a good idea of where they are going, but as Olds Says, do NOT judge the fit and finish, this is a mule that will be crushed and destroyed when done. This is not what a customer should expect. I do like the Turbo Engine cover. I wonder if this is a twin scroll or single turbo? Anyone have any better details of this new turbo engine for Caddy?

Altima is just FWD and a Nissan, though. Apples and oranges. I suspect one reason they are axing the G25 is a new smaller entry level Infiniti model is coming, I've read. But the G25x is not really selling and everyone says 90% of the buying public could care less between RWD and FWD. So this should not matter if the car is a solid built auto. Just like people do not think about Audi being FWD unless they get a Quattro model.

This is so true about Honda, They have issues that might not be possible to fix until they clean house on management. This was the same problem at GM. A horse with blinders on will not see the danger till it is over.

I agree with Cubical that I do love the straight 6, I had good experiances with Jeep, but V6 I have not had good experiances with. It would be cool to have small 6 or 4 cylinder CNG engines or Diesels.
