WOW, Too Funny, The end of the Mayan calendar it may be, but not the end of the world. We have a whole new life ahead of us for creating new technology and jobs. Just need to get everyone moving on this.

WOW, I remember when my dad took me to the junk yard to get parts and I would sit in all the old late 60's to mid 70's muscle cars and pretend to drive. If I only knew that the value of keeping these seats around would be worth so much.

Industry News: Tesla Model S Gets Its EPA Rating

I am NOT looking down on them. I commend them for what they have done, but I feel they went the wrong direction when there are far better options out there for making Green Cars. -
Rumorpile: Maserati CEO Pushing For A Mid-Engine Exotic :Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Maserati
I understand the point you make, but in todays economy, I do not believe this is the right approach to take for a small company that has a small sales even though they are in the ubber rich category. Is there a niche group of people willing to pay out mega bucks for this car, Yes I believe there will be at first, but will there be enough to sustain and make profitable this car? No I do not believe so. If Porsche was not already mid engine, they would fail at trying to do a mid engine sports car. The 944 which was my favorite car from them and still is was a total failure. Their customers expect mid engines, but for most people, no they do not and I do not think Maserati can do it profitably. Unless some other division also picks up the technology to reduce R&D costs. -
So this is way better than the current 2 seater coupe/convertible. I saw in the costco parking lot the current model and thought it ugly, but asked the wife and she looked at it, the person inside put down the hard top roof and while it looked a bit better, the wife still felt it was but ugly. This coupe with the sloping roof and lack of rear visibility on the corners still does nothing for me. Good Luck to Mini as I do not think this cuts it.

WHY WHY WHY, The extra Cost alone will not really help them. I can think of many better ways for this company to spend money to increase their profit than a mid engine Auto! -
Industry News: Tesla Model S Gets Its EPA Rating

Nice looking car but a toy still. This is NOT a GREEN car no matter what anyone says. 1) The battery pack produces 10 years worth of Green House Gas based on what a basic econo car running gas produces. 2) Except for the PNW - Pacific Northwest with all it's Hydro power, most of the country use Coal to generate Electricity and this produces mountains of green house gas. End result, better to go CNG than Electric! Pass on this limited range car with lousy recharge times. In time Electric cars will get us there but not yet. Smart Stepping stone is CNG. How about you guys do a review of the CNG Bi-Fuel Trucks and Vans from GM! -
Honda News: Spying: Honda Accord Sedan/Coupe, Plus The Interior

These are better than the current models, should help keep them from the road of Bankrupcy, yet the dash still is bland bla bla bla. Not a fan, but will admit this is better than what they currently have. -
Too True, the Acura buyers are some of the oldest out there and stuck in the mid 90's like flash frozen!

They have some good songs, but no band makes every song special or something for the masses. -

BMW News: Rumorpile: Next M3 To Go With An Inline-Six?
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in BMW
BMW could last minute change their mind, but for now, I think they will stick with tried and true I6 engine. -
I think the Buick even with the ugly chrome strips does have more style and it is a love it or hate it style. Personally, I think the mean rear look will strike an interest in a group of people here. Now will it be enough to sell in large profitable numbers? I take a wait and see approach.

Chevy Cruze Wagon or Opel (Buick) Astra (Verano) Wagon?
G. David Felt replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in The Lounge
If you have both products coming, then the 5 door hatch to Chevy and a lux version of the station wagon to Buick. With that said, I just do not see the market for station wagons in the US. I can see the 5 door Hatch coming here as a Chevy, but I think the station wagon should and will stay in Europe. Buick does not need this model. IMLTHO -
I agree, just as Ferrari and Lambo tend to encase their engines in Glass to show off the Jewel of an Engine, this same Performance ride would make sense as a limited edition from Cadillac. Just like the limited Performance editions from BMW and MB usually out of their M and AMG divisions.

H'mmmmmm Me getta some Corvette Love!!! Or is this a remake of Corvette Summer???
-
You have this one nailed properly. The Ferrari kicking should come from Cadillac. I know there are people who talk about the Corvette as if it is the god of ultimate cheap but fast performance and it is for what you get in a ZR1, but we are beyond this and only Cadillac could attempt and deliver a true luxury performance auto. Chevy and Cadillac are two different markets.

Do not totally blow off GM. The Coupe Concepts would not have been made if they did not believe there was a market for the car. I suspect we will see one.

Is it me or does the center stack cut into your gas leg room? The picture shows how it arc's into the space and I think for big guys over 6' tall this will pinch the leg room.

How about the 2.8L Duramax Diesel in a Cruze? This sucker would pull like crazy and return awesome gas mileage. Performance Diesel would ROCK!
