Ask Me Anything: 2020 Lexus UX 200 F-Sport
Hell, they better never take my full size Trucks/SUVs as I will never fit in anything. I will stop my rant now before I go off the deep end of my soap box about all the Shitty Little Subcompacts / compacts that companies think the world should pay luxury prices for that are not worth it. Totally agree, so tired of gutless auto's that cannot merge at highway speed or move when a semi or bus is coming and they force them to brake hard and cause congestion. Europe can keep their worthless powerless auto's.

Excitment for GMC tomorrow, could this be the Hummer by GMC announcement or could it be the long awaited Raptor competitor? EXCITMENT!!! Greater Seattle area got a good dose of winter, 6 inches at my house, 9 inches at my sisters and the freeway and local roads are littered with abandoned BMW xDrive and Mercedes-Benz A and C class 4matics all over. Just proves awd is useless if one does not learn how to drive in the snow.

Bigger is Better as GM Revives Hummer by GMC Electric Trucks
That is so true, I agree that Hummer did not appeal to everyone unlike Jeep has done. Will be very interested to see how well Hummer by GMC does.

Bigger is Better as GM Revives Hummer by GMC Electric Trucks
Hmmmmm ? Never considered myself Douchey! ? I loved the H2 and H3 Alpha they were great to own and handled off road really well. Yes interior left something to be considered and the 5 cylinder engine sucked, but the V8 versions were great. Did ya ever drive a H3 Alpha, that was the V8 powered version and it went, was great off road and I loved them. Very excited for the EV Hummers! They will suck up all the excuses EV Haters Blow with!

Bigger is Better as GM Revives Hummer by GMC Electric Trucks
Bloomberg reported back in June 2019 that GM was looking at bringing back Hummer to the portfolio. People questioned why bring back a Gas Guzzler and would it really help or hinder GM who was pushing Green and showing off their Bolt EV. President Mark Reuss is on record as saying he loves the Hummer! GM at the time was touting the BEV3 electric platform that will support 20 EVs on the road globally by 2023. Reuss also at the time said that the GMC Denali line and AT4 off-road trucks could all be potentially offered with electric powertrains. GM bought the Hummer brand in 1998, peaked sales in 2006 at 71,524 auto's and was down to 4,000 sold in 2010 as they killed off the brand. Now here we are roughly 6 months later and GM insiders are saying that the electric Hummer has been green lighted to be GM's first electric pickup. A boxy style of yore, battery powered selling at the GMC dealerships. This is an interesting move as you have a generation of people growing up with GMC being associated as environmentally friendly and now you can have your EV too. From your 10MPG Hummers of yore to now being part of a $3 billion investment in the Detroit Hamtramck factory for building EVs with the UAW and the new Battery plant with LG, it would seem GM is betting on this new Hummer by GMC EVs to make a go of it. Full size SUVs are also planned. Look for Hummer by GMC at the Super Bowl with a Commercial starring LeBron James selling Hummer by GMC. Some states just need to be merged with other states to become proper sized states and then there are those that really are just bedroom communities so why bother being a state like NJ. You could cut it in half and put half in NY and half in Pennsylvania. LOL

Wow, the only time this does not look too bad, but the styling is still Meh at best, GMC looks way better. Chevrolet better find their Styling Mojo fast. The criminal printers are too lazy and unable to handle the complex printing and design that this would entail. After all basic minimal rectangle stamping seems to be the norm for our idiot politicians to deal with also since we have to pay the criminals to make them now. ? I totally agree with you, would be cool to go back to state shaped license plates. Better yet, just make it a RFID Fob you have attached to the windshield below your rear view mirror and remove the bloody plates all together. So much cleaner and aerodynamic.

2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker Review - 5.7L HEMI V8, 372-HP, 0-60 in 5 Seconds, One Week Test
Sexy as Hell, if I was wanting a weekend play thing for the wife and I, I would buy this over the Ford or Chevy as it looks much better than the bunker look of Chevy or the meh ford.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Then that constant need to run to a gas station and top off especially if bad weather is coming makes going EV just that much better where you just plug in at night at your home and know you have a full tank of Acceleration fuel in the morning. Surprised no one that has emoji making skills has not taken this picture of a Rivian and made that green indicator line move from left to right in a empty to full indication.

I use this for state by state average gas prices: https://gasprices.aaa.com/state-gas-price-averages/ Washington State averages $3.14 per regular gallon of Gas. Washington State averages $3.52 per Premium Gallon of Gas. So a 28 gallon tank is $87.92 to fill up on regular or $98.56 on Premium, difference of $10.64 If you can afford to drive the truck with the 6.2L / 10sp transmission, I do not see roughly $10 bucks being a breaking point. After all I average between $400 to $500 a month in my SS alone for Gas and that does require Premium. The Escalade is about $150 to $200 a month as it is not a daily driver.

For all of 2019 Cadillac had a total sales of 156,246 auto sales. Have not had a chance to look at any other luxury line than the one report above for the top 3 luxury lines in the US. Seems Cadillac is half of what the two Germans sell and almost that for the single Japanese line. Cadillac really needs to buckle down and focus on the Luxury segment and add some damn good marketing.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
Batteries, Batteries, Batteries, that is the big news at CES this year. Seems Solid State is finally here to make a big difference. First is the company ProLogium from Taipei. They showed off their new Solid state batteries that are 56% denser power than traditional Lithium batteries without having the fire issues of current EV batteries. Some very cool videos of how strong these new batteries are even when cut up. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/ces-2020-prologiums-solid-state-battery-for-two-wheeled-vehicle-favored-by-european-and-japanese-manufacturers-300980805.html http://www.prologium.com/ https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/ces-2020-prologium-s-solid-state-battery-for-two-wheeled-vehicle-favored-by-european-and-japanese-manufacturers-1028792982 Fisker has also finally delivered their production Solid State Battery pack for EVs at the 2020 CES. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/01/09/fisker-emotion-ev-solid-state-battery-ces/
