  1. 2020 CT5 2019 E-Class @smk4565 How is the MB any better than the CT5?
  2. I have to say I love it! This is one of the best I have seen from VW as I like the dash flow and the exterior. I really think GM messed up on not continuing the Avalanche pickup that Cadillac also sold in luxury form. I bet the Profits on every Escalade EXT was crazy high. GM needs to bring this back I think! Would love it in an EV format as the ultimate city / suburban auto for Home Depot duties and family fun. VW, make it and I truly think you will see the sales!

Love the Burgundy color, reminds me of my grandpa's Brougham. I want that color on an Escalade EV!
  4. Wonder if you could make this an EV with battery pack that would give it 300 miles on a charge? ? Would be a kick to the nuts of Tesla if they did it!
  5. Weird as I have seen the tint on the GM full size Trucks and SUVs and yet also still seen them come with clear glass. Have not figured out why on an Escalade that someone would want clear glass, but I have seen it and it looks bad IMHO. I agree, I do not think the Tint thing is a Ford thing, just that for some weird reason dealerships order the bulk with tint and then a few without and I see no reason for them being tintless.
  6. I agree, my point that will be lost on SMK is that I can say the same thing as he said and how does this change the fact that this is a very underpowered engine. It does not, his field goal moving is pathetic to attempt to justify that this is still better than anything Cadillac has put out.
  7. XT4, XT5 and XT6 will probably get some engine updates and a v-sport would make sense. I see no reason that Cadillac could not V series everything. At least there is cylinder on demand with the Cadillac, this thing has pathetic horsepower. Clearly someone is mainlining meth as this is not the company line of "Best or nothing at all!" Might as well be nothing at all with this! See how this works!
  8. Lucky me, PNW does not have inspections so unless your doing something really stupid for the cop to pull you over, tinting is not an issue here. Though I think with the amount of State police cars with limo black tint, that the whole tint thing should just be dropped. I also have come to think that inspections are good as too many dangerous auto's on the road. Amazing how many people buy and auto and let it fall into disrepair.
  9. Right, I just do not get with all the skin cancer issues and how people love to have their auto's tinted to help deal with hot summer sun, why that is just not standard anymore on a luxury auto. I agree that once you limo black tint the windows on the side, that ugly weird C pillar issue is gone. The interior blows away anything I have seen on this class from the Germans.
  10. Could be a good Encore replacement for you based on needs you have stated here in the Forums.
  11. While I could get into the Encore and no one could sit behind me, I am interested to know how much space is gained in the GX model? ?
  12. While I have my nitpick issues, over all a very sweet ride and I really like the interior. Ya know the German koolaid lovers will also nitpick and move the field goal to justify why the german brands are still better. LOL
  13. Nope not at all, I think many would take a less tech car at a low price point to drive a new reliable ride. After all for an entry level auto, it does not need all the bells and whistles as it is a starter car. Hell if they did this at 12-15,000 with manual door locks and manual windows, it would still sell. This entitlement crap has to end by accepting that you have to work and earn it and it is not given to you. Welcome to the start of your life is my attitude. Heck I would be happy to drive this if I could fit in it as it would be a great commuter and run about car.
  14. That is really sharp looking and would look good on the whole family of CUVs.
  15. Wrong, if you actually read the web site, the Ener-G-Force is the size and concept of a future G-Wagon. Not a Small compact knock off with some style cues from it. GLB is not the Ener-G-Force.
  16. 392 badass even sitting still at 24hr fitness.
  17. @smk4565 https://www.mercedes-benz.com/en/mercedes-benz/design/vision-ener-g-force-off-road-for-the-future/ GLB is NOT the Ener-g force concept. To quote their own website!!! New off-road design idiom. “The Ener-G-Force is the vision of an off-roader that, while reflecting tomorrow’s adventures, also invokes the genes of the Mercedes-Benz off-road icon, the G model,” observes Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Mercedes-Benz Cars. “Modern and cool, it could also be a clue about a new beginning for the off-road design idiom of Mercedes-Benz”.
  18. Very happy to hear they are not letting the engine from the Focus RS go to waste. I wonder how much of a premium this will be over the normal ecoboost engine? Interior looks like a lot of hard plastic and fake carbon fiber. @Drew Dowdell Are you going to go to the show to get first hand impressions and pictures?
  19. That might be true here in the US, but seems to be a very different thing in the Asian rim as well as Europe.
  20. Badge snobs will be badge snobs and pay even though they could get a superior auto for less from another OEM. With that said, you are right, I do believe many will look at the MB offer and then at others and go with others.
