  1. We'll Germany did start two world wars and had plenty of asshole lemmings to follow the First and 3rd Reich. Then I digress and we are here to debate auto's. I agree with @balthazar BMW must have signed a 50 year contract as even today they have those damn rubber black steering wheels in everything. ?‍♂️
  2. Would you consider a CPO for $35K? Seems many of the expensive trucks that Ford, Ram and GM are making and selling are ending up on lots for half the price once the lease is over. So their $70K crewcab pickups are about $35K with about 36K miles on them. So these electric pickups if they follow the same trend and no reason not too will end up being about half price.
  3. I still believe that if Tesla or any other automaker builds a full size pickup that is normal looking like the F150 Ford EV Truck or the Atlis, people will buy. If VW builds their Atlas pickup as an EV, I believe it will sell too. I believe Ford will sell a bunch of these F150 EVs.
  4. ICE auto sales are funding the future autos that will more than likely be EVs due to multiple reasons all of which will be debated one side or another. Fact is that just as we have lovers and haters of various leadership around the world from Government to Business, you have 6.5 Billion people of which some will follow one track and others another. End result is that Governments will tax, you will pay taxes and technology will always change. Change is inevitable, most will adopt and change some will stay in their track till the day they die. At least we will all still debate both sides of this Fence. My antique auto's will be SUV's and trucks compared to others here that will have cars, but both are a means to a road trip through life of enjoying your personal freedom machine and on that point we all should be in agreement that the right to drive is a privilege earned and should not go away.
  5. WOW, Ford Recalling 1.48 million Pickups https://www.reuters.com/article/us-ford-motor-recall/ford-recalls-1-48-million-f-150-pickups-in-north-america-over-transmissions-idUSKCN1Q21SC Lexus tops Dependability data while Fiat struggles at the bottom. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-autos-rankings-survey/lexus-tops-2019-dependability-rankings-fiat-struggles-idUSKCN1Q21J5 Awesome that Chevrolet is higher dependability than Mercedes-Benz https://fingfx.thomsonreuters.com/gfx/editorcharts/USA-AUTOS-JDPOWER/0H001PBB84MY/index.html Ghosn's compensation is getting poorer after the board decided to scrap his pay package due to current issues. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-nissan-ghosn-renault-salary/renault-scraps-parts-of-ghosns-pay-deal-idUSKCN1Q21MU Interesting day in the Auto world.
  6. But would you have enjoyed the 50's pay scale, lack of tech, so many other issues with the 50's outside of our enjoyment of auto's?
  7. Great that GM is investing. CJ the CEO of Rivian is a very smart man and with such a solid skateboard concept, why reinvent the wheel when you can buy it and offer it as a Sierra or Silverado 1/2 ton pickup. Saves time and money getting into the market. GM will keep me as a customer if they take this and offer a full size SUV / Pickup truck EV. Smart thinking by Mary to jump over the competition and get started on the EV trucks / SUV segment. Agree, GM's BEV3 platform will offer some exciting mid size and compact size EVs. This investment allows GM to get access to a FULL Size SUV/Truck platform they can then run with and offer in the market sooner hopefully.
  8. Weather proof chargers are available for people at apartments to homes with no garage or normal drive way. Just park on your dirt patch and still plug in just fine. Older apartments and condo's just like town houses or homes can be retrofitted with outside chargers. Just takes ones tenant to request and ask for it before apartment places consider the money stream and retro fit.
  9. ? Yes, many do not realize that you do not need your knees on your chest, curling the hips off the seat is a bad thing. Form over weight always. Keep it going, lifting will keep you strong into your golden years. At 51 years old, I am in way better shape than 95% plus of men my age. #Spartanstrong
  10. Thanks for filling us in, sounds cool. Is this the video?
  11. Nothing like a a Hamhock nip in the rear to get your attention. Momma musta not liked her getting to close to her babies. Yup, never had faceplant and never will. Hate the company.
  12. @oldshurst442 Make mine a V series Monochromatic or all Black chrome on a dark burgundy metallic paint job with a V8 please. No Turbo crap for me, just NA.
  13. I so HATE Facebook and the crap of having to log in to see what ever someone is trying to share. Can ya do a screen capture Blu or Download it so it can post here without the facebook BS?
  14. I thought that is what they called Champagne powder, good to go with the stuff you drink too or mix with OJ. I cover my workout on Instagram _g_d_f_ as I focus on getting #spartanstrong Just doing normal lunges at home can really strengthen up the gluts and over all legs for a stronger core. Try doing 4 passes across your living room. Amazing how fast the body can change and strengthen. Right now my whole body knows I have lifted 1000's of pounds of wet snow. Gonna get working now, as I had to spend the day shoveling and now the evening working.
  15. Thanks my wussy of a friend to the north, Enjoy your 40 CM fluff!
  16. Lovely car and if I won the Powerball, buy it and drive it, but otherwise, nope not worth the $106K they are asking for it.
  17. Robert by the time your ready for your next CPO Jeep, It just might be GC EV!
  18. Then the Younger Peeps are getting weaker as I can out shovel and lift so many my age and younger. Remember, I am only 21 for the 30th time! me doing my warm for legs on the sled. 540lb at 3 sets of 15 reps. Who wants to lift with me. ?️‍♂️
  19. But is it light and fluffy? I am at 700 feet above sea level and this snow always comes in wet and heavy. Crazy how heavy it is. That poor SSR! ?
  20. Poor SS covered under a foot plus of heavy snow. Yup gonna have a long day of shoveling. Yes, sea level, usually more rain than snow. Started shoveling. My poor suburban. Heavy wet snow!
  21. Greater Seattle area might get frost and a dusting most winters with the mountains keeping all the snow a mere 45 min to 1hr drive away at 4000 ft. Here this is highly unusual. Usual winter temps for Seattle are mid 30's to low 40's. Nice Mild winter weather.
  22. 1994 was the last time we had snow like this. I have thought about it though. Right now so wet and heavy, I have to wonder if a blower could even handle it. The malls here have gone from blowers to plows to move it off the sidewalks and parking lots.
  23. Yet those that I work with that have performance auto's they just love the CF stuff and usually add more to the auto. Very crazy. I will say that the NAV looks like an after thought to the dash and that seems to be a theme in which I agree with this story of the ugliest NAV systems at the Chicago auto show. http://www.thedrive.com/news/26426/the-5-ugliest-infotainment-screens-of-the-2019-chicago-auto-show Even the Lincoln new CUVs are on the list due to that ugly after thought nav screen. They should be properly integrated into the dash.
  24. Poor SS covered under a foot plus of heavy snow. Yup gonna have a long day of shoveling. Still snowing, gonna for most of the day.
  25. This is no different than the appearance packages that BMW and MB have on all their auto's. Not actually meant to be a true performance auto, just look like one. I bet we know plenty of people that want the look but could care less about the actual performance.
