Anyone have an updated chart for this thread? I would love to know where the age demographics are now! -
Spent the day and gave my SS the spa treatment. Now all set for summer. Gotta love that smooth waxed painted surface.

Audi News: Rumorpile: Next Audi S8 To Use Panamera's Twin-Turbo V8
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Audi
Interesting and exciting at the same time. I am surprised it took them this long to raid Porsche for engines for Audi. -
Based on what I have seen from an Aerodynamics stand point, you can get the same flow with just minor turbulance in this style, I do not think we will see the Ocean size trunks come back but I can see a smaller trunk and more of an upright rear window style. A flowing front end that comes to a back end style of window and then the trunk. Kinda blending the CUV rear with a 4 door sedan. That is how I see the next trend in car design. I believe we will see a blend of CUV / car in the cars.

True, a performance coupe is a very limited market. It might work for a very limited product line from a small company like PoleStar. Still think it is one of the nicer cookie cutter designs and better than MB. Wish they had picked something more useful to a bigger audience than a coupe.

Totally agree, pretty sweet looking coupe. Mercedes Benz should study this on how to make a decent looking auto.

Hate the white interior, and the moron from Acura must have moved over to Honda with that stupid buck tooth grill chrome crap idea.

Makes one wonder why the OEM does not think about giving their best foot forward in every powertrain version for these loaners. Very weird!

While I was hoping they would push outside their conservative view of auto design, I guess I was hoping for too much as the look does not impress me at all and why drop the already ride height any more. That is just crazy. This will loose sales as people do not like pushing up from the ground to get out of a car nor do they like to drop into the groud to drive or ride. Sad

Awesome, nice update on the car, pics clearly show what you were stating about inside. Interesting. AWD V6 I can clearly seeing in the snow belt as being a valuable option. Wish they would get a V8 option with AWD out.

Jaguar News: 2018 Jaguar E-Pace Hopes To Strike Lightning Twice
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Jaguar
I understand this but hate it if they did follow that just to be like everyone else. I do think they could have used the e for their pure electric line rather than i. Why not call this model the i-pace and their pure ev e-pace which ties into electricity. Or they could have called it J-Pace for their EV since Joules is a part of the EV culture. I just wish more thought would go into the names. -

E-Pace should have been the name for their pure EV solution, otherwise this works! -
Cadillac percpetion
G. David Felt replied to A Horse With No Name's topic in Cadillac Appreciation Club's Cadillac Discussion
Pictures do not do it justice, but the 2nd gen Escalade seats are far more holding of the body and comfy than the newest version and they are much flatter than that picture shows. My wife says our escalade seats are like a quality leather chair and you can sit in it for hours and hours. The 2017 escalade loaner I got were hard and flat like plywood. Not a road trip worthy suv. -

Volvo News: There May Be More to Volvo's Move to Electric and Hybrids
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volvo
Plenty of stories but in 2015 the US had replaced most of the Coal plants with NG plants which is much more friendly to the planet. http://www.cnbc.com/2015/07/14/natural-gas-tops-coal-as-top-source-of-electric-power-generation-in-us.html https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=25392 Interesting is that the news shows coal being surpassed by NG power plants in 2015 and our own gov being behind the times in data is saying they expect it to happen in 2016 end of year and the link above shows they published their findings in March of 2016. so much for gov accuracy. -

Dodge News: End of the Line: FCA To Close Conner Avenue Assembly
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
Very cool History here of Chrysler corp offices, proving grounds and manufacturing assembly plants around the world. Looks like a plant in China and Dubia were the last ones built in 2011 according to this link. http://www.allpar.com/corporate/factories.html The pictures and history of places are awesome and I learned L.A. used to have a plant till late 70's- 7 replies

Audi News: All New Audi A8 Brings the Tech and Pricetag to Match
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Audi
Over all it is interesting to see that many rate the A6 very well but then you can easily find a few reports that just destroy the car. It seems if built right, it is a great car, but when they are built as a lemon, they stay a lemon. http://www.consumerreports.org/cars/audi/a6/2017/overview http://www.autoblog.com/buy/2013-Audi-A6/expert-review/ https://www.edmunds.com/audi/a6/2013/safety/ JD Powers seems to give it a solid 3 out of 5 stars. Powertrain and interior is only a 2 so I can see someone going from an Asian auto to this german auto would not be impressed.
