  1. Pass, no need for the Diesel, plenty of better options exist. Time to put down the heavy dirty fuel and move forward with greener technology.
  2. Simple, 17 car brands are rated better than MB in 2017, 15 brands rated better in 2016, 14 brands rated better in 2015, 13 rated better in 2014, 11 rated better in 2013, 8 rated better in 2012. I could go on but as one can see, in just the last 5 years MB quality is not #1. Just in case you think I am making this up, here are the last 5 years posted by J. D. Powers IQS. Clearly MB is following the same path as Cadillac in the 80's of going down hill every year and getting worse and worse. So many better products out there than MB. Clearly MB is hitting their sales climax and decline is around the corner. I fully expect some mags will praise this wanna be truck but hopefully many will see just how pathetic and cheap of a job MB did on this pickup.
  3. So your saying at 40K plus options you wonder if this is a 50K car and that the engine, awd and handling is nothing special?
  4. No, MB is LOOSING at the Luxury game and only has the Profits due to the whoring out of the E class as the taxi of Europe. MB is now just another Toyota, Ford, etc. Taking your stance, FORD is the Leader of the world due to their Truck sales numbers. So MB clearly is afraid to try and compete unlike GM. Instead MB makes garbage CLA/GLA auto's and sells the most expensive S Class sedan per your words but with heavy discounts. So one has to question how much of a luxury auto maker is MB when they have to rely so heavily on the lower end market, commercial trucks, buses and vans?
  5. Cool Wonder if I will see them on the pass with ski racks. Buick becomes GM's version of Subaru?
  6. About time GM got with Brembo for use in more applications. Looks like a dual piston brake. Nice!
  7. Heard that before, Believe it when you see it.
  8. Thank you for admitting that MB could not compete in the US for the truck business. This just proves it with this rebadge job they did.
  9. Yea, who would want incapable cars? After all so many Douchebags drive them!
  10. GM did the right thing to dump the ball and chain of the past garbage. After all that is what bankruptcy is for but sales of the SUV segment for GM did not drop that much to say it was not selling.
  11. Interesting, other than the Diesel option, the Buick Envision would be a better buy.
  12. WOW, CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, This truly drops their star to below Korean built auto's. Pathetic, they might as well not even done it. Jeep Kit Trucks are better than this!
  13. GM sent out a private invitation to buy a new GM auto, 2017 or 2018 auto, with the pin included in the mailing, here is the discounts available on all GM products. Some pretty nice rebates that can be transfered to anyone else living at the same address with proof of address on a DL. 90 days deferred payment start, Must finance through GM Financial, FL, PA and TX are exempt from the 90 day deferred payment start. States can be used with other available programs, but a few are exempt, dealership to see Corporate Program # 17-40CBI. Interesting
  14. Interesting to read when you see the number of beta auto's being tested in the US and Germany. They clearly got a bunch of money in the beginning, but now based on the last few stories, I have to think someone pulled out funding for them to freeze everything and now have to search for more capital. Bet this is owned in the next 12-18 months by China or some investment group.
  15. Yes your just stating the obvious, bunch of CUV's, a sedan, coupe and they have the segment covered. Nothing new or surprising about this. Now if they said the whole product line was Hybrid or EV only, that would be newsworthy and interesting.
  16. True, $4 gas and higher separates those that can afford an SUV from those that are living paycheck to paycheck. For me, I am very frugal, but will always have my comfort, so I plan on high gas prices while I drive my suburban, full size SUV's. I would rather not waste time on the Jones Jones race of competing with my neighbors, who cares, I will drive my comfort SUV. Disagree with you here as yes during our recession of 2007, everyone felt the pinch but GM did not see it as bad as other auto makers. There is still a need and demand and those that do not like debt will have the cash to buy what they want and drive what they want. I am one of those.
  17. One thing different if I ever get some spare change is to take the air intake vents in the front, chevy logo's and rims and have them all black chromed so they would better blend with the rest of the ride.
  18. Total Truth, Been in SUV's my whole adult life, will never be in a car. SUV's Rock!
  19. Anyone have an updated chart for this thread? I would love to know where the age demographics are now!
  20. Spent the day and gave my SS the spa treatment. Now all set for summer. Gotta love that smooth waxed painted surface.
  21. 1969 Dodge Charger, That will buff out!
  22. Party, Don't stop the
  23. Interesting and exciting at the same time. I am surprised it took them this long to raid Porsche for engines for Audi.
  24. Based on what I have seen from an Aerodynamics stand point, you can get the same flow with just minor turbulance in this style, I do not think we will see the Ocean size trunks come back but I can see a smaller trunk and more of an upright rear window style. A flowing front end that comes to a back end style of window and then the trunk. Kinda blending the CUV rear with a 4 door sedan. That is how I see the next trend in car design. I believe we will see a blend of CUV / car in the cars.
