Cool, lok forward to checking this out over the weekend. Is it one of those Egyptian ones?

That is fine, interesting take, but then why would Toyota have all these announcements in their media section that covers this too? If Ford did not use their system at the start, I would think they would protest it big time and in court. As you stated their system was similar to Toyota where they then signed agreements. This will always bring up the conspiracy theorist in people. No matter what, we can agree that it is great to have some auto's even if they are compliance auto's now as they move forward with a bigger deeper selection of auto's. Ford could and should push beyond GM as I know many would love a Truck EV and Full size SUV EV.

Cool, I wonder if a fast and loose regulation will spur or hinder these auto monsters? I hope they better incorporate the cameras into the car than all the ugly warts on the top of them.

Dodge News: Dodge Challenger Adds All-Wheel Drive for 2017

Same Problem with the Frame. That pesky Toyota Frame issue has plagued some potentially awesome auto's. The Rogue Runner would have been great if not for the Frame too.- 83 replies

I am going based on what was in the news back in 2004 when Toyota and Ford held press conferences and said they would use the Toyota Hybrid system as they worked together on building the next generation system that they would both use. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/03/10/business/ford-to-use-toyota-s-hybrid-technology.html?_r=0 http://www.autonews.com/article/20040309/REG/403090702/ford-to-use-toyota-hybrid-system-technology http://www.autotrader.com/car-news/ford-and-toyota-partner-on-hybrid-technology-120396 http://corporatenews.pressroom.toyota.com/releases/ford+toyota+hybrid+trucks+suvs+telematics.htm http://corporatenews.pressroom.toyota.com/releases/remarks+ford+toyota+uchiyamada.htm

This is an awesome write up. Bolt first, Ford Focus and then Nissan Leaf in a 1, 2, 3 lineup of cheapest to most expensive Mile per dollar for EV Auto's. Have to say Inside EV did a great job with gathering the info to compare. http://insideevs.com/chevrolet-bolt-ev-ford-focus-electric-and-nissan-leaf-with-lowest-price-per-mile-of-range/

Yes, Ford did jump in early with using the Toyota system and then moving into their own when ready. They have done great with PHEV and I am happy that Ford is doing well. As long as we have some US companies in the Auto industry, I am happy. Level 3 fast charge is going to really change over the next few years and I think we will see a much faster move to 100kWh battery packs as the density of Lithium Ion improves. I think the Euro fast charge system will end up being a backbone for the rest of the world to build. I can see these high end kWh chargers replacing one line of Pumps at gas stations. Then EV's pull in, got grab a coffee, snakes, etc. 5-15 min later depending on how much charge they want, they are out of there. I see the day when charging will be no different than pumping. Exciting future for everyone.

Your Welcome, I searched Ford.com on the corporate side for updated EV info and could not find anything, this was the most current I could find, So figure they started a year before this. Hopefully show off at the auto shows this year their EV concept and have it in production by 2018 ahead of Tesla as I doubt and I think we all would agree Tesla has yet to deliver anything on time, so I figure we will see Ford's 200+ mile EV out around the same time as Nissan Leaf 2.0 and the update to Ioniq from Hyundai.

PASS, Waste of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM billions stolen by idiot Fiat and their attempt to bring back a dead name plate. End result killing the brands that make money and letting them rot to death while they bring back overpriced Italian garbage. Not impressed,

star trek Star Trek Reboot Discussions!
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in The Lounge
I understand what you are saying, but I have to say I have enjoyed the reboot and the new movies. 1 was good, 2 Meh, 3 was way better and the whole family enjoyed it especially the ladies who were never fans before. I think the reboot has adapted to attracting a wider audience, does this take away from the original theme and focus? YES, I think it does, hard core fans who started out with the original TV series and grew up on it like me have had my hate it love it affair with the whole various series on TV and Movies. Yet with that said, I think they did an outstanding job on rebooting this franchise. I personally hope they do a nice tribute to Chekov in the next movie. LOL, Guess we need a Star Wars debate / Discussion thread as I have some deep feelings about the series and love it all of them including the love Storyish #2, but this is about Star Trek! I have enjoyed the reboot, #2 left me with mixed feelings, loved the first one and the 3rd one. I think the 3rd one shows what future cities in space could look like. I loved the tie in with older vessels and the change over from a military group to a science research reach out to other species. I thought they have tied in with past original Star Trek really well in #3. Loved the tribute to Leonard Nimoy.- 9 replies

That totally rocks! Easy, Per our own HR department, if you write your resume to match up to the job description or industry job roll, you will get calls no matter what via email or phone. Crazy software focuses on the key words and not on much else. Are you sure that is not your socks with the warm runny feeling down your legs?

Anyone know where VW is in the pecking order of 1 to 10 of the top ten auto sales companies off the top of your head? I would think sure market those auto's you want to your loyal quirky fan base, but you also need to market to those you want to win over from the competition and I see nothing that would give VW conquest sales.

Bentley News: Bentley Plans On Growing The Bentayga Lineup
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Bentley
this is so accurate on how I feel too. -
Anddddddddd in that lays the problem. VW clearly markets to the quirky customer and seems to miss the rest of the country. They come across as a very generic, blah way too conservative auto company with nothing that stirs the passion in me. In fact the only thing that comes to mind is that VW I associate with the Make Love, Not War Drug using Hippies of the 60's. Auto's that are always clogging up the roads and going slow. Where is the "Fahrvergnügen" ? I remember my parents checking out VW in the 90's and both were Meh, just did not resonate other than a cool commercial, but the actual auto's just missed everything that the rest of the auto companies seem to hit. Here is where I think VW has failed to realize that their German marketing program does not really work in the US. What fly's elsewhere in their larger markets seems to be what really holds them back here.
