  1. No not really for family. We will be picking up another GM (used) vehicle looking more and more like an 02-04 Cadillac Seville but it could be a 06-07 Monte Carlo, 07-up G5 or a 2000-2002 Firebird/Trans Am. Just depends I would say the Seville is at the top of the list followed by the Monte and G5.
  2. Yeah it was and that is why I choose it over the Equinox. Not that I really ever looked at one because you know me I am a Pontiac man.
  3. You made my day 66Stang I always have enjoyed you as well. We can respectfully disagree on politics, but both of us love this great country and wonderful GM cars. You sir a true patriot being able to acknowledge someone for something they do or believe in even if we disagree. You are a person I am proud to post with and call a friend on C&G. We all have our differences and that is part of what makes our country great. After all we live in the one great country, believe in one great company (GM) and our domestic cars, and post on the best forum on the net C&G, that is worth something to me. Happy 2009 everyone. And a few comments... XP- I always enjoy your view and you make alot common sense when others don't. 68- I always enjoy reading your posts many of which I agree, and truly love the fact you like true hard-tops, big V8's and right wheel drive I mean RWD. Camino- Thanks for doing such a great job and keeping this place running smoothly, you do a great job. I also enjoy watching your classic projects come along. P.S. 66Mustang you are right I do love my country, and my General Motors cars even more. I am truly a GM nut, hell someones has got to be these days. I wish more American's had a level head like you.
  4. Thank God someone around hear says honest things that actual are true. Amen brother.
  5. So you really think the new RX is better looking? Than I would suggest a trip to the local eye doctor and some new eye-wear for 2009. Really like FOG said get off of the damn kool-aid the new RX is so ugly it isn't even funny, inside and out. Evolution was the 2000-2003 models and then 2004-2009 models that is an evolution the new RX is an ugly piece of $h!. Yet it will sell because Lexus is always better than anyother luxury brands. The people who take an actual look at the new SRX might actually find it appealing, so get your head out of your butt, this is the new GM it is not a 1979 anymore. I for one like the new SRX and any honest person would like the styling on the SRX way more than the new RX... Sorry like FOG said stop drinking that damn Toyota kool-aid.
  6. Trust me it has been waxed. My cars get whatever my GM dealer puts in them for oil. The Impala has 80K on her now, my son drives it and we do to save miles on my Pontiac's. It has and a small crease up under the front bumper. It has been loved, out west on family vacations 6 times and once out east. My goal is to keep the Bonneville and Torrent in better shape than it. As for the Torrent why do you show no love? Not an SUV person? The Bonneville drives the best out of all of them. The Torrent follows closely, the Impala is the most bland to drive though.
  7. Really because looking at these photographs it shows how truly ugly the new RX is, and makes the two previous generations that I half liked, look even nicer. I like the new SRX better than the old one.
  8. Well personally I think it looks great in all photographs. We all can have are own view and that is just fine by me. The interior looks to be great and I bet this thing will fly off dealers lots and Lexus with the ugly and f*cked up new 2010 RX would have wished they had a better looking vehicle to sell. Honestly.
  9. Actually I really like it in these photographs.
  10. My Bonneville is 13 years old... My Torrent is 5 years old... My Impala is 39 years old... Gosh all you guys have old geezer cars. :AH-HA_wink: I do like old cars tho...
  11. Well the cat is out of the bag. It looks like the new SRX will look alot like the concept vehicle seen last year. Also the photos gave away the new powerplant a 3.0L Direct Injection High Feature VVT DOHC V6 paired to a six speed automatic. Sounds good to me, and looks like the RX has a new rival. Anyways here are some of the photographs right from the General, enjoy!
  12. Amazing and sad story. Poor Pontiac.
  13. I wouldn't give you a plug nickle for any of that stuff. Sorry guys but one mans junk is anyother mans treasure.
  14. Neat websites Pontiac had some sweet images as did Cadillac back then.
  15. That would be a sweet first car in great shape like that. My son would have killed for one, any RWD GM car would be fine with him. Those Olds mags with the black inserts will look bitch'n on that thing. I want photographs of it when they are on because that will be one kick-a$$ Olds. Also what motor is in it? Please say a V8 something... Neat car tho!
  16. I agree 66Stang, I always liked the orange coupe when the concept was displayed better than the silver drop-top.
  17. It is listed as an option on GM dealer world for the chrome wheels on SS's new 2LT V6 Malibu.
  18. I totally agree. Although I like the 08 and up LaCrosse and would not rule out a used Super with the 5.3L LS4 I still think a great new car deserves a fresh name with no baggage attached to it. DF you got this one right.
  19. I really think the Invitca name for those who recall will remind them of the great Buicks. For those whom don't (younger folks) along with the Enclave it gives Buick a fresh start, and if a young person thinks LaCrosse they prolly think of the senior citizen discount and that is not good. Whatever it is named from what I have seen it will kick ass. That is all that matters.

  23. I have seen a fair number of rental Impala SS's with the bar-code when I have been out west on vacation. How much fun would that be to rent? Most are LS or 1LT cars with a 3.5's but I have seen a few LTZ's and SS's. I bet that car was very stable at 100 mph as well.
  24. Congrats best of luck in the years ahead.
  25. Thanks for the reply. I hope you enjoy your new ride.
