My dad bought himself a 1970 Pontiac GTO In Lemans Blue...I think the paint colour was called. Kinda like this one. Then he bought a 1974 2 door Impala. Dark red with a white vinyl top. It kinda looked like that car above. but their was no 3/4 window at the back...like this one. Then we bought a 2 door coupe 1979 Impala...same dark red as the 1974 Impala.

I listen to everything when I drive. Depending on my mood, the weather. The time of day or night. From Disco, to 1990s Euro Dance, to Reggae, to Rock...any Rock. Sometimes Im in the mood for 1950s Rock. Sometimes its psycheledic 60s, sometimes its bubble gum 1960s rock...sometimes its anti-Viet Nam 1960s rock, sometimes its good ole soul, sometimes its the Detroit Sound from the 1960s, sometimes its the 1970s and the 1980s rock. The British Invasion 1960s rock...sometimes its even Surf Music. I even get funky driving to old skool rap from the 1980s and early 1990s. But no Vanilla Ice... Hell...Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sam Cooke and all the fantastic crooners get played in my car too...loud and proud. Pop music and Freestyle from the 1980s is rarely played....but its played...but at a very low volume...shhhhhhhh. Greek Music. Yeah...I sometimes blast Greek music in my car. Other times...the good ol' radio dial is tuned at the the local AM sports station.

Yeah I have always thought this. The Cruze is a borderline premium car when U get down to it. The Corolla, Civic, Focus, and Elantra look low rent IMO. The Cruze and Mazda3 look like they belong in the same segment as a Verano or TSX Ill agree 100% about the Mazda 3. Ill agree 95% with the Cruze...pre-refresh Cruze. I havent seen the refreshed Cruze just yet to have an opinion about it. The first gen. Cruze, especially in LTZ trim, or even in RS trim looks great...even today...when the car is a 7 year old design already. The reason why I knocked off 5%, is because I have an issue with the Bow Tie on the Cruze. Although a gold Bow Tie does not bother me...it does not look good on a Cruze, body coloured or a aluminium finished look Bow Tie would look more luxurious on the Cruze. Uuuum.. make it the color U want... U can get Chevy Emblems in any color.. or make it yourself I did not know they made those. But then again...how silly of me to think that. The aftermarket world is insanely huge. And of course...make one yourself. My 2005 Impala SS' Bow Tie was blue. The irony of that...I did not like it because it was...blue. I would have preferred it to be the gold Bow Tie...you know...all black car...many a time I thought of painting it myself...but in snowy, salty and sandy/tiny tiny rocky (for the ice in winter) road conditions , it would simply chip very quickly and would look worse....so I left it alone.

LOL! Im laughing because I have wrapped a 1989 2.8 liter 140 HP(?) V6 Firebird around a pole. And I am an adrenaline junkie. So yeah...a Hellcat in my hands would probably result in me wrapping another car around a pole.

Easy pickins. Camaro. V6. Auto. I never was into manuals to begin with. I prefer cruising. So my pick is a tad weird as I too, love the Chrysler LX cars...and the Challenger is probably the better cruiser. But the Camaro is the newer, hotter vehicle. If V8s were thrown into the mix with no monetary limits...the Hellcat...but then again, the Camaro is new...and is awesome hotness. (my personal inner thoughts out loud - I cant believe the turnaround Ive made concerning the Camaro)

You should see A League Of Their own...if you love baseball...then the movie is a fantastic piece of art for baseball history. Major League...yeah...I love that movie too. I saw that movie 100 times...but it aint a movie for a 10 year old girl or a 9 year old boy...LOL.

I still had faith...because of how OVI was handling himself...as a team leader. He actually did a fine job. But...after choking...again...I came to the conclusion I just did...about him not being a winner. I didnt see that movie yet. No time. We keep renting baseball movies...or watching the same baseball movies over and over again... I saw A League of Their Own maybe 5 times in the 1990s...it was a GREAT movie...well, Ive seen that movie at least 10 times this past month. My daughter loves the movie. That and The Sandlot. My son loves that one. Next up is The Babe...John Goodman as Babe Ruth. She took an interest in baseball heroes. I think that The Babe will be a great movie for her to enjoy baseball (she plays softball...first year) and learn the history of the game somewhat.

Yeah...I saw that. I did not want to believe they would choke this time around...but watching game 6 head into OT, I kinda knew then that its good night for the Caps. Ovi...while not his fault this time around because he did all he could do to keep his team alive...I dont think he is a winner... You know...there are players that, while not superstars, are just pure winners and when the games count..they simply...win...and there are superstars that no matter what they do...they lose....Ovi is one of these such players I fear.

I have a huge die cast collection too. Mine is scale 1/18. When I was a kid, I made plastic model airplanes...WW2 aircraft. In scales 1/72 and 1/48. I made a couple of tanks and artlillery guns such as a German 88 and American Howitzer... I started tinkering with airbrushing to start tinkering with dioramas...but I entered my early adolescent years and sports and girls just took over. I would like to take the time to make dioramas with the die cast cars I currently have. But at scale 1/18...that would make for huge displays. I will need space for that.

So Babcock just became the 30th coach in the Maple Leaf's history. Who whoulda thunk that? I heard rumours about Babcock leaving Detroit about a month ago...I said 'no way!' Then I heard rumours about Babcock going to Toronto about a week ago...I said...'never again will I listen to stupid sports talk radio with all this crap they feed us!' Well, I am shocked to say the least. But...to quote Johan De Nysschen...its gonna get worse before its gets any better, for the Maple Leafs, even with Babcock at the healms...its gonna take every single second of that 8 year deal for him to actually make something outta that team. Who knows....if he could get all of the team on same page...maybe trade a few of the bad apples...maybe shut the door on the Toronto journalists... The Bruins hired within...Don Sweeney as GM. I dont know about that move...it looks to me as if Cam Neely wants to be surrounded with people that kiss hiss ass. It seems like he wants to create his own boy's club...If I were Claude Julien...Id look for the boy's club mentality, if it is present...and Id get myself the hell outta there... I could be wrong...and Don Sweeney will return to building a Big Bad Bruins Team...but I aint so sure he has the knowledge to do that...yet...

Rock-N-Roll is how I go. 1950s 1960s 1970s 1980s and some 1990s. Hot funk, cool punk, even if its old junk its still Rock-N-Roll to me! Lately Ive been into the 1970s...and Ive been remiscing about my adolescent youth....hair metal rock of the 80s... OK...sometimes I do Disco and Eurodance of the 1990s. I just love music.

That is soooooo freakin' cool. I LOVE WW2 aircraft! (yeah I know...posted in 2012....doesnt change the fact that this is such a cool pic) This is my current desktop...it used to be of my two kids...but I see their face live everyday... I HATE THAT 5th gen. CAMARO!!! I just ignore it...I have it for the Hellcats (yes car and airplane) and for the DC-3. To tell you the truth...Ive had this desktop now for about 3 months...and I dont see the Camaro at all anymore... Can you call that power of persuasion? Whatever...Im happy I dont acknowledge it and drool over the Hellcat.

I thought about that...about the Rolls and Bentley SUV thing... I dont think it will impact the Escalade image...why? Again...they are ugly...sure price and the high limits of them...but Cadillac is still Cadillac in the minds of those Football players and Baseball players and Rappers. Sure Rolls and Bentley...but the Escalade has that mojo intact. Like Drew said...slap on a supercharger on it...improve the interiors on a Bentley scale and RAISE the price tag on a very limited run of Escalades and voila...no harm done from the competition. What worried me was BMW...because BMW has that brand cachet that can kill Cadillac. Rolls and Bentley...not so much... Why? Because women LOVE BMWs just as much as guys do. Rolls Royces and Bentley...its only the males... Escalades and SRXs also get a boat load of soccer moms driving them.

And Drew mentioned something that I always think about...but in reverse... I always think about RWD cars as enthusiast cars...but not FWD cars...when in fact...FWD cars are just as capable in being enthusiast cars as RWD cars are...therefore...as Drew pointed out...in amny parts of the good ol' USA...RWD is a no-go....in Quebec RWD is definitely a no-go...therefore a Cruze SS fits that target market quite well. Integra GS-Rs and Type Rs were just the bomb in my neck of the woods back in the day...VW GTIs CONTINUE to carry the pocket rocket flame in Quebec...so I re-inforce my stance as a Cruze SS would be very welcomed in my neighborhood.

So Casa, did you figure out how to post vids yet? Just in case you missed both of my messages. You just copy and paste the Youtube URL and drop it in the quote box...its embeds it automatically. Easy as pie. Nice shots of the Camaro. I cant believe how I went to hating the gen 5 with, a PASSION I might add to actually loving this 6 gen. I wanted to just kill it with fire , this 5th gen....now Im back as a Chevy guy again with the 6th gen....its weird how that worked out.

I feel the Olds love from you guys. Ive found an internet home in these forums... Id probably choose the Regal over the Alero also...as a used car...3.8 liter V6...great engine... However...if we compare W-Bodies though...the Intrigue kicks Regal butt. @Drew Nice Toronado...Im assuming its in excellent condition. Cool emoticon...hey...its a Cutlass Supreme...I also loved that W-Body.

What I was about to say was all but covered... I am neutral to a Cruze SS...because its hard for certain parts of America to choose a FWD pocket rocket over a RWD pony car. And now that a Camaro would be getting a turbo 4 cylinder of its own...it really is hard for GM to make a business case for it...especially when even the established brands of these "tuner" cars are not full steam ahead with them. Save for VW....sure Ford too. But here in Quebec, I think a Cruze SS, badge engineered to a tee from the Astra OPC in Europe would sell like hot cakes. The Verano sells in Quebec quite well...the Cruze also...Honda Civics are everywhere and the old Integras and RSXs as well...the VW GTI is a very good seller so is the Audi A3....just to gauge interest in a Cruze SS...and based on that...in my opinion...I think Quebec would be a GREAT market for a Cruze SS....especially since gas prices are very European like...unlike a place like Texas for instance...and that is why in Texas...huge pick-up trucks are king...and not in Quebec...where we are the small car capital of North America...because of said high gas prices...hell, even in Mexico, they drive bigger vehicles than Quebeckers drive...

Yup...about the Cruze SS....and the kicker...Gm has got one it Europe all ready to go...via Opel , however...there is a thread today about GM's business case for something like this...Ill chiume in later in the afternoon for that chat as I cant continue now...flipping burgers is what I gotta do...see you folk later.

Yup Casa, that would be another reason why I wouldnt need 700 HP...because you cant use it on the street...even if the street is empty...law enforcement is awaiting for you to give you a massive ticket...
