  1. The interiors are the exact same... and they all kind of suck now. For somebody who used to really like Merc products, I pretty much hate their screen-centric interiors now. FWIW, I loved driving the EQE we had as a loaner for a couple weeks. It isn't what I'd choose simply because it's hideous, but it did everything perfectly fine.
  2. Isn't there a Merc that's in this category now, too? There has to be some EQE or EQS that weights 6000lbs. Oh yeah, there sure is! https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2024-mercedes-benz-amg-eqe-suv-first-test-review/ Also, the EQE SUV AMG is only rated for 235 miles of range?
  3. It's an SUV still. It's just here to do performance SUV things, which is straight line acceleration along with "okay" handling characteristics.
  4. YES! An RS6 Avant is definitely dream car status. As much as I love the RS7, I'd take an RS6 Avant over it pretty easily.
  5. I agree with the first part, people using speaker phone in public. I think most everybody sees/hears that and it drives the other 90% of us nuts. I don't know why it's so annoying, because it really is just like two peole talking and we wouldn't complain about two people in a waiting room talking, but it drives me nuts. I guess it's mostly because these people talk so loud as is they're trying to shout to each other and the microphone isn't picking up anything. The second part about people listening to loud music that you occasionally hear, just sounds like a grumpy old man. There's no way you hear their music for more than a minute or two at a stop light and then it's gone. There's nothing wrong with them listening to their music loud. That's not bad parenting, unless it's clearly done on purpose TO disturb people, but I highly doubt that. How often are you hearing music that's so loud that it's disturbing to you? I can't remember the last time I heard somebody's car system that loud. Come to the Midwest, we're quite the chill people!
  6. It's been that way for like, what, 10 years..? That didn't happen overnight. Like what? I think @oldshurst442 has something to say about not caring...
  7. I'll take lower gasoline prices... 🤷‍♂️
  8. I've driven an SQ7 at a measly 500hp and that thing hauled. I can't imagine being a whole lot quicker, but a horsepower rating starting with a '6' sure does sound good.
  9. Same *Olds* same *Olds* 🤣🤣
  10. That's insane that they would cancel the auto transmission for the V6. I guess that was their way to force people into something more economical.
  11. I didn't announce anything. You told me to leave and I said I likely would. You need to chill the fck out. The problem is, people aren't coming. They're just leaving. How many new regulars have showed up in the last year? Two years? Three years? How many have left or rarely post anything anymore? We know of a few.
  12. I likely will be, if politics are continually brought up in every single post. I don't come to automotive sites to talk politics. If I wanted to do that, I'd be on political pages.
  13. Whine, like everybody has been here about politics? No wonder there are only like 5 people routinely around here.
  14. Nah, I find it really easy to not talk politics.
  15. It's just lovely that politics are brought up in every single thread...
  16. I guess, technically, it was more like 5 days.
  17. 50% is unrealistic. A regular half ton truck is well north of 4500lbs already.
  18. it took 4 days to catch those guys. It wasn't immediate. 15th was the marathon attack and 19th was the firefight/arrests.
  19. Thank you but, I'm not about to read anything about politicians or politics. Sorry, @oldshurst442, you can read this stuff for me and defend America for me, as well. Please and thank you.
  20. I also don't believe religion should be "in" any part of government. Wait, I thought I was some right-wing Trump lover?!? 🙄
  21. EXACTLY! Life is soooo much better staying away from that crap.
  22. You essentially said to stand up for what you believe in, right? Yes, but you're not about to educate millions of 50-70 year-olds who grew up in a completely different time. Hence, time.
  23. How long did it take to normalize women in the work force? Old heads with unconvincing minds just need to pass away.. it's a time thing. Is it fair? No. Is it right? No. That's just how it goes though. I just want to be clear here, because your rants take things to a whole 'nother level and I feel like they are insinuating I have a different belief than I actually do. I am NOT opposed to anybody getting married. I am all for anybody marrying anybody.
  24. I mean, in all honesty, that's not that unrealistic though. That would leave the first kids who were born while legalized to be adults with children of their own, that's basically the timeframe I'm talking about. While I'm 100% in agreeance, if you are of the mindset of @oldshurst442 and feel there is something wrong, you stand up for it, right? You intervene. I do not agree with that, but some do.
  25. Part of me understands the "how". It is still relatively fresh for some people and they refuse to comprehend how different we all are. It was not long ago that it was completely taboo and frowned upon by the general public. I think it'll take a generation or two for the current children growing up with a much more open mind for it truly to be "normalized". The legalizing of gay marriage is a very new thing, when you look at the grand scheme of things. I mean, it was only 2015 when it was legalized. From that point, I think about a full generation needs to pass through to be something that's truly "normal" as a whole.
