If your beloved Implala is so "premium" then WTF is the LAX doing?!?! The Impala isn't premium. Buick is premium, Cadillac is Luxury. To not only skip over Buick for a loaner and jump down to the lowest totem pole for a loaner..sucks as a customer. Let me spend my 60k on a gorgeous Cadillac and when it has issues(because they will at the very least have some recall) lend me a damn Chevy.. when CADILLAC made a recallable part. Or they at least put it under their hoods. Or, as Stew has pointed out.. If I spend my 60k on an Audi... at least I get a damn Audi when AUDI is the one who made the broken part.

First, I never said my FORD was premium. I said an Impala isn't premium. The Impala is a Chevy.. simple as that. If it was premium it would have a Caddy badge on it and be labeled XTS. Not that an Impala is a bad car, it just isn't premium. It isn't something a Caddy owner should get as a loaner. That's just my opinion and possibly thousands of other's opinions as well as Caddy's sales lag behind their competition or maybe nobody other than Stew agrees with me.

GM also has two tiny utes that Ford doesn't have anything for quite yet in the Trax and Encore(the latter of which has sold like crazy). Cadillac is the only brand lacking SUVs but as a whole GM has the bases covered from Trax to Escalade ESV.

You also think an Impala is premium though...and are obsessed with everything GM makes. The Impala isn't a bad car but if you're somebody who's a badge snob(a majority of people buying anything with a luxury emblem on it) then you don't want anything Chevy. The Caddy dealership I went to recently was stand alone and they had a Caddy fleet of loaners that they have a contract through GM to sell once they hit I think 3 years or X miles(maybe 2 years). That makes sense to me. Seems as if they will treat their customers better and still be able to make a dime when they go to sell them. I'm not talking about oil change loaners as much as warranty repair that may take a day or two or even a week, a length of time tat you should have a similarly high quality loaner.

I think this is actually a huge issue. While it isn't such a huge deal.. it is at the same time. You don't loan somebody who's spent 40-100k on a Cadillac a Chevy Impala or Chevy anything.

Best of luck with all of the family and household things you're busy with! Personally, I don't know how a site can absorb that much of ones time/concentration(minus drew as he's the owner). Do what ya gotta do and we will be here still, lol. Graphic design and advertising(and anything involving those two - hello car mags that we all tend to read so much into) are two pretty popular careers with art degrees.

It's plain but not boring, imo. Perspective could also be said about Caddy's more aggressive hard lines built in. I like them but not everybody else does. It's a more polarizing style compared to the Conti. Conti is plain and simple but it has less polarizing style.
-
Random but I saw a black Conti yesterday in a mall parking lot. Damn good looking vehicle. It isn't attention grabbing or anything crazy special but it just looks damn good. Nothing offensive, just clean and simple.

In all fairness the R is in a league of its own.. well the RS populates that party as well but the GTI is more comparable and it's depreciated pretty hard as well(so my friend has said about his 2012 GTI).

You took that line as them saying it is sporty???? Yes, I did read the whole article and nothing in it even insinuated that it was sporty.

Exactly what Lincoln doesn't give a crap about and they made it loud and clear they aren't making a sports car. MT has never said that it is some kind of sports car either so I'm not sure why you're saying people will "take their word" to buy the Lincoln to try and line up against a CT6.
-
One huge plus that I hope Lincoln will be engraining in all of their autos is this is the first Lincoln to not be covered with Ford switchgear. They finally have their own stuff!! I think something small like that will make a huge difference for those who say, "this is just a gussied up Ford". The guy is really corny but there were some small things I didn't know about the car that I learned.

Oh yeah I forgot that my breakfasts consist of 2-3 hard boiled eggs and a protein bar.. The eggs are bland but they're simple and quick aaaaand cheap..lol I can eat chicken all of the time but I also prepare it differently each week switching between different spices or sauces so it isn't that bad. -
I don't think Lincoln cares it isn't matching or besting anybody in the performance categories as that isn't what it was designed to do. Image is for a comparison.

Congrats @Suaviloquent! that's a great accomplishment! It definitely sounds like you're building a lot more muscle than you've ever had and that's great. I really messed up not taking a before picture/measurements back last April or May when I turned things up to 9(If I'm being honest I know damn well I could be eating even better). But at that point I found workouts to do instead of my own make-shift workouts and stuck to them as closely as I could with varying amounts of time and gym equipment. I weighed 188 and I was still working out 3-4 days a week, mostly 3.. But the day I weighed myself at 188, which was the most I've ever weighed myself, I knew it wasn't good weight.. So I made an immediate change. Like I said, I found a workout that was brutal and stuck to it as closely as I could and I made sure to bring my lunches to work. I was prepping about 4lbs of baked chicken(per week) and some form of vegetable that I'd like. I've been doing this ever since as well. I'm pretty picky so that wasn't the easiest but I found a few things to make. Well I finished the 12 week workout the third week of July(it was my float trip week is how I know that..perfect timing as well) and weighed 168. 20lbs lost in 12 weeks. I have since stayed within 2.5 lbs of 168(most I've weighed myself is 171.5 since then). That's a good weight for myself and I've slowly been gaining muscle so I've also been dropping fat still so that's good. I'm fine weighing around there for being 5'8". Buuuut the whole point of that is I wish I would have taken a picture of myself when I first started that at 188lbs to compare that to what I look like now at 168ish. -
Ram News: Rumorpile: Ram Trucks Delays Redesign of Heavy Duty Trucks
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
I don't see the staggered updates as a bad thing because what @Stew said, he's right. Same as GM. The issue I do see is that yet another product was put on delay. If it was planned as a year or two stager that would be fine, but it wasn't. So, I'm not surprised.- 30 replies

Chevrolet News:2017 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel To Begin At $24,670
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
I know what you mean but one is a hatch and one is a coupe and I presume they're looking at interior volume. I just know I was reading a "compact" comparison but I'm not sure which one and it said that it was one of 2 or 3 that had technically crept into the mid size sedan interior volume. Ill continue to look for it. It was only a couple months ago. -

Chevrolet News:2017 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel To Begin At $24,670

Thanks! Makes me wonder what trim my buddy has because I doubt he got anything fancy as it still has cloth seats and I don't believe the nav screen either. I'd think a good amount of hear buyers we close to the base trim with a package or small things added. I hope GM does well with this but the prices seem a little steep for entry. I believe it is one of 2-3 in this class that is technically a "mid-size" with how much it has grown. -

Ugh.. I HATE that they force you into such a high trim on this. I mean, likely, that's what I would want but it sucks for those who just want a cheap commuter with insane mileage. 26k is nuts, IMO. @Frisky Dingo do you know what the Jetta TDI started at? -
Chevrolet News:GM Is Ready To Lose Close To $9,000 On Every Bolt Sold
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
The 40% loss is just how every manufacturer will say if your engine burns up to 1qt of oil every thousand miles it is still "normal". Just don't buy an Audi EV. lol Basically, it shouldn't happen and is just there to cover their ass.- 254 replies

That's kind of their problem is that is all they REALLY have going for them right now. The GTI/Jetta platform are exactly that, phenominal, but the rest of their lineup is very "meh".

Dodge News: Dodge Challenger Adds All-Wheel Drive for 2017
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
So we're back to limiting the ownership of these cars to well populated areas that can plow snow effectively because it's necessary. I'm experienced some in snow but are you experienced in rural areas that don't get plowed at all?- 83 replies

Dodge News: Dodge Challenger Adds All-Wheel Drive for 2017
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
No, it's just a stupid idea. I don't WANT the Challenger to be a piece of sh!t and dated. I WANT it to be great and compete to push the Mustang and Camaro more like great competition does.- 83 replies
