Yeah I have noooo clue what I want to get to replace the ole girl. My short list has consisted of: ATS 2.0T, MKC(they're a little more pricey still), GTI mk7, Focus ST, ILX, CX5 and Mazda 3 possibly.. all depends what the insurance company will give me though. I owe 9300-9500 yet. If you feel the want to sell your GTI..let me know.. lol

The Titanium package spoiled me too much to get another Escape with less features..
-
Jeeeeeez! Exactly why I'm so impressed with how far safety has come.

Chevrolet News:2018 Chevrolet Corvette To Sport A 6.2L DOHC V8

Mmmm DOHC GM V8. Intriguing! -
Oh I owe way less than I'll get. I owe 9300-9500. I know I'll get more than that, easily. Just is it enough to get something I want..? Last I looked it "booked" for 15-16k. Oh olds, I definitely didn't think you meant anything in a condescending way. I knew what you mean/meant. Which is why it sucks I just totaled it because I was doing well paying it off quickly. And now I'll likely end up with less car for similar money..

Haha yes Ford does have their name on "our" stadium! I'm usually fine getting an opportunity to buy another car but I was actually really content with what I had and I was just trying to pay her off so I could buy a second vehicle as a toy.. and trying to eliminate debt to buy a house more importantly. The car definitely did its job. Again, I've always given companies a hard time in gaining weight and adding bull$h! safety stuff..but it might have just saved two lives or at the very least injuries. I walked away scratchless. Just a little sore. Nooooo clue what I want to replace her with yet. Sometimes I think cheap and owe very little and pay it off quick then other times I still want an ATS 2.0T. Which isn't expensive but I'd still borrow 15k most likely, depending what their insurance company gives me. I'd LOVE and MKC 2.3 in their deep purple but those are still 25-28k. The perfect vehicle would be a Chevy SS or a JGC SRT. VEEEEEE EEIIIGGGHTTTTT! No coupes.. not yet in life. Maybe a focus ST but I'm not sure if I want to daily a manual trans again(lazy...I know). GTI is a sweet car. A buddy of mine has a '12 GTI with the DSG and love it. Frisky loves his as well. Sounds kind of dumb but laying the .50-.70 premium for premium gas negates all fuel savings of the small car though.. I feel so clueless now that I have an opportunity to get something else. Lol we need a dream garage thread for 15-20k cars. LOL This one is $24,xxx with 54k miles. Roxy was about a week away from creating 60,000 miles.

Jesus. Some people are just ridiculous. That's pretty scary.

She definitely did do her job. But after all of those times I've ragged on government forcing stupid safety regulations and over looking crash ratings.. I have to tip my cap to Ford and the ole Govnt. Just a sore back and walked away from it. I also didn't realize I had knee air bags..neat.

Some broad blew through a red light as I had a green. Plowed her going 40-45mph. Luckily both parties were okay aaaand I had a witness who was behind her and saw her blow the light. Good night Roxy, you treated me well. I apologize for the sideways pictures.. they're not sideways on my phone. I even tried rotating them and saving them..

Drivers not paying attention.. see newly created thread.

OEM, nowhere. But turbo a Camaro or Mustang and you can get there for well under 65k. I know once you get into the aftermarket it's a weird game to play but that's the only way to get 700hp for cheaper. Obviously you will not have a nice factory warranty.

Like the long line of $h! cars that he's been upside down in for 15 years?
-
SHHIIIITTTTTT I want an RS7(Performance or not) so freakin' bad... Which engine is in the SE? Is that the 1.0T? If so, My buddy has one and he's let me drive it before... great freakin car. So much fun for a small package. The gearing was on the tall side but it is an economy car not the ST. I would easily consider one if I was in the market for this kind of car.

I feel like this is only car-people. Most friends and family that I hear looking at cars just look whenever they feel like buying and none of them know about auto show season. They probably know that there is an auto show in STL but that's it.

I'm not the one making a "premium" car that passed on stitching and went forward with molded plastic. Yeah it's a better overall car. But it didn't take any strides towards "premium" with fake stitching. You literally want me to go to my GM dealer and take a picture to prove this to you(because you only trust what magazines say if they're playing the GM fiddle)? Hell no. I made the statement(which was from a reputable source), you disputed it. You're the one who's in denial here, not I. It sucks that there are people out there like you and Wings because it turns people off of brands and companies for no good reason other than not wanting anything to do with a fanboy.

ZL1 is a MONSTER!

Yeah, they show so much blind bias when they award GM products awards and even at the beginning of the review they said how much they liked the previous LaX. I love it when fanboys always claim X magazine is so biased when they award all sorts of manufacturers all sorts of awards. Ford wins, GM wins, MB wins, BMW wins, VW wins, Nissan wins, Toyota wins, Honda, FCA... the list goes on and on but they're biased.. you're right. Maybe the previous gen used real stitching. Even worse to know they downgraded to molded plastic. How classy of them.

Good lord, man. You think they have any reason to make that stuff up??? " It also took a lot of heat for fake wood that wouldn’t fool a toddler and fake stitching on the dash top that isn’t even carried around the corners, much less actually joining anything." LaX Review

It's fake if it is anything like the LaX. MT just pointed that out in their review of it.

Any insight if it would make its way into the Mustang..?!?!? That'd be awesome to have the 2.3 as the base engine, 2.7 middle engine, and then 5.0 for the top engine(minus the GT350 and forthcoming GT500). Heck, I'm one of those... Once I got used to my Escape and not falling down into it, I love that about it. It isn't like I'm all out of shape and get winded getting in and out of a car but it's so nice to get in at about the same height as I'm standing. No step up, no step down... juuuuuust right.

Being "pretty luxurious" and being a "luxury vehicle" are not the same thing. Maybe I should have just said, "Humping one company just for the sake of is why you lose credibility." But what I said was shorter.

See that sounds like how it should be and how the Caddy dealer I have gone to works as well. Random-ish, but my local Ford dealer will actually pick my car up from the "park and ride" bus stop I park at and drop it off before I get back and I just have to stop in and pay when I do get back to my car.

Wow, I like the center console section of the Toyota much better than the Lexus. Neither center stack looks all that great in these pictures but neither looks bad either.
