Opinion: The Family Sedan is now on the Endangered Species List
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Opinion
While I agreed with most of what you said up until this point. CUV's aren't just toppling over while spiritedly driving. Yes, there are rollover issued but that's in collisions with things, not just on their own. -
Opinion: The Family Sedan is now on the Endangered Species List

That doesn't even make a difference with SUVs because they all ride on pretty low profile tires. Everything in this class has always been like that, imo. None of them have been or done anything special. -
Mercedez Benz News Mercedes EQG Catches up to Rivian with Tank Turn!
ccap41 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Mercedes-Benz
Yeah, definitely a smart move to make sure it is 100% ready and the vehicle can handle the wear/stress. -
They looked like they wanted to lose that game early. Then they figured something out, Husso made some great saves, Nathan made a beautiful goal, and the Blues stayed resilient! I WANTED to turn the game off when it was 3-0 and Colorado was still rolling but I couldn't let myself turn off the potential last game of the year. I stayed with them and it paid off! I was thinking the same exact thing. I don't think that trail looked like anything an AWD Fusion/Camry/Accord couldn't handle. The extra 0.5 inches of ground clearance for "most" SUVs (CUVs) doesn't really make much of a difference anyway on a pretty flat trail.

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes EQG Catches up to Rivian with Tank Turn!

It has to be a little more than just enabling it, otherwise it would already be updated to do it. There's obviously some issue somewhere otherwise it would be have been on the vehicles upon delivery. I was kind of being a smart@ss and kind of not. While I hope Rivian succeeds, they're sumbling HARD out of the gate. -

Which vehicle will actually get Tank Turn in a production vehicle first though? -
Oh he and his family definitely do not deserve death threats, even though he's pretty dirty on the ice. I also wouldn't hate to see somebody injure him, putting him out for awhile. There's big beef with him over in Blues-land with how he plowed into Binner. He deliberately took the "no brakes" route with no attempt to avoid goalie contact. He just plowed right through Rosen. He knew what he was doing.

? ? ? They look BAD right now. With Binnington out Husso has dogsht puck handling skills and is always giving up one or two easy goals and you can't be doing that against a team like Colorado. They're too damn good. Binnington could control the forecheck getting out of the net and playing the puck. Husso just whips it around the boards and it's too easy to keep the puck in the zone.

Hahaha touche.. I don't ever remember injuring my knee but every once in awhile twisting in or out my right knee would get a shooting pain and almost feel like it's dangling for a bit after. It's like below my knee, and not in the middle of the joint. It certainly wasn't a daily occurrence but almost always it's only twisting getting in or out of a car.

Ahhh gotcha gotcha.. Not the route I would have taken but I can understand wanting to keep a certain look for the bike. That's one thing I love about the bike. You can have an adventure style tire or a street tire and both manage to work perfectly into the bike's design, imo.
-
Why'd you go for more of an "adventure" style set of tires?

There's the CT4-V Blackwing... It isn't AWD but it has the TT3.6.

I have a feeling they'll do something tacky, hahaha. -

First, I HATE how the American companies are trying to be "fancy" with the "E". It just seems so tacky and hopefully it will be phased out as EVs become more normal. Second, Mercedes is kind of going the way of this GV80 & GV80 Electric thing. They're doing EQS Sedan and EQS SUV. I'm not sure how I like it yet. -
If one is spending 100k on a vehicle, they probably don't care a whole lot. But, probably one's first born. Hahaha
-
These taillights are pretty fckn sweet though. I don't love it but I certainly do not hate it like the EQS and EQE Sedans.

No chance David would admit to fitting in the back of that. Also, I'm very disappointed in Genesis for producing an ugly coupe SUV. They've been absolutely nailing the styling since becoming Genesis as a "solo" company and then they make this abomination. I don't think the front is completely awful, but not great. It's that it's one of them damn coupe SUVs that just look incredibly wrong. -

Those two are RWD + AWD whereas the XT6 is FWD + AWD. The Lyriq and Aviator look 100X better than the XT6. -

For comparison's sake; XT6 starts at $48,595 Aviator starts at $51,780 Yep, that makes more sense to me. It just didn't seem to be larger, let along THAT much larger, than an XT6 to me. -

So it's longer than an XT6, overall. Thank you. This is definitely larger than I thought. I was expecting more of an X5, GLE, XT5 or maybe Aviator size but this is definitely larger, or at least longer. -

I think these look really good but I'm still not sure about that rear/side 1/4. I bet it looks a lot better in person. The AWD is a no-brainer for the price AND performance you get, unless it happens to cut the range by 25%, which I don't see happening. Seems expensive but that's just because I don't have 70k to drop on a vehicle but it seems like it's competitively priced and specs-wise, should do very well. Cadillac's problem is they'll probably have some dumb@ss commercials for it. GM marketing tends to be of the worst, IMO. Are their specs on the size of this? What's a comparably sized ICE vehicle that I can compare this to size-wise? -
I didn't catch any of the game but it always hurts to lose a game 7...

Exactly what I was getting at. hAnEn'T hEaRd tHaT oNe bEfOrE If there is, I'm sure he's pushing his limit...Hahaha Red Hat, you say? I think I know somebody who's been wearing a red hat for a couple days now.. they should probably take it off and put a cool blue one one! Like a STL Blues hat. But in all seriousness, that sounds like a great joint venture for GM.

Well, unfortunately for you, there is absolutely nothing you can actually do about it. Your lack of creativity does not surprise me but it sure does disappoint me.

You are free to move on and talk about something productive yourself. Ain't nobody stopping you but you. In fact, you never needed to try and intervene and be a C&G Super Hero in the first place. *@surreal1272when he reads @David"fits" in a Bolt*
