  1. https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a36175755/ev-charging-infrastructure-in-america-still-sucks/ Such a train wreck of an infrastructure, right now.
  2. All of these exotic CAR companies coming out with SUVs are absolutely touting their SUV as a real SUV but with added performance and luxury features. DBX3.webp
  3. I mean... I'm a middle child of three and my parents had an older chrysler minivan before making a sweet jump to a GMC Safari with the raised roof and a DANG TV(maybe 6-8 inches ?)! That's how people think these days.. I have a coworker who recently had their first child and they got rid of his Sonata for a Traverse. One kid.
  4. It was a question based on 4 door SUVs not being considered "family haulers", brought up by others. "family haulers" need three rows...? Most families are less than four people(3.14, to be exact).
  5. They have 4drs for the same reasons luxury sedans have 4 doors.. to carry 4 people. Not necessarily as a family hauler. Am I missing something? Are two kids and two parents no longer a family? Or parents and one kid?
  6. I ALMOST typed " *sarcasm* " but didn't think it was truly necessary.
  7. I love the size of the Sport. I've walked around a Velar in our work parking garage and they're like weirdly low. I don't know a good way to describe them but, I believe, I could look over the rearmost roofline onto the roof and I'm only 5'8". It just has that much of a rake and then the bottom "pinches" upward for ground clearance. It was just a little awkward on an otherwise very attractive vehicle. This is about the best I can quickly find for a comparison.
  8. I believe the 2nd row folds down and then up also, or at least it slides forward, @balthazar Modern crew cab trucks could almost fit a 3rd row in the same space the 2nd row is, they're massive back there.
  9. The big Rover doesn't offer a 3rd row but, funny enough, the Sport has an optional 3rd row. I cannot imagine how cramped it would be back there but it is available. FWIW, the Discovery and Defender also offer a 3rd row. @balthazar, now you have be running down the Range Rover Sport rabbit hole(because I'd love one some day). I'm pricing one out, just for shts, and I know you have a huge issue with pricing on paints. Check this out. There's only one color that's "free", Fuji White. Five colors that are $710.00 One for $1550.00 Thirteen colors that are $4550.00 Most of those thirteen colors have a satin option that changes the $4550 to $7450. One "Special" color, "Icy White", that costs $9200 that can also be made satin totaling $12,050. How absurd are those prices?!?! I came across these because I was like, "Dang, British Racing Green?! YES, Please! Oh...$4550.00..."
  10. I have little interest in the EQS. I'm disappointed it isn't closer to a "conventional" sedan as its aesthetics don't do anything for me.
  11. I just cannot get on board that rear 1/4 of the vehicle. It just doesn't work at all for me.
  12. Agreed and that's a completely different scenario. A: That's what gears are for. Go to a low gear, virtually ZERO resistance. If one wants zero resistance, they're not looking for any workout whatsoever. B: Yes, I've biked in mountains in West Virginia.
  13. e-assist for bicycles is for people who think they want to workout but will only do so a couple random weeks per year. They will NEVER get into any decent kind of shape with a bike like that and a mindset that goes along with them.
  14. Bikes already have their own built-in "super-duper easy mode". GEARS.jfif
  15. We knew GM would GM-it somewhere. It's ridiculous to not offer AWD.
  16. That's what gears are for. They already have turbochargers.
  17. That's a great reference point and it really puts this flight into a better perspective on how impressive it was.
  18. My personal issue with the bed length is the total volume it can or cannot carry. I will certainly need it to be able to carry "a yard" of materials like top soil or rock. I'm less concerned about the total payload, I'm not afraid to surpass that every once in awhile as I'd be conscious of it and drive accordingly. You're not the only one. I'm almost certain Hyundai has said that about this pickup. They're not competing with larger trucks for sales as much as similarly sized SUVs where somebody would benefit from having a bed or prefer the looks of a truck.
  19. Yeah, I believe I read it is more targeted at the people cross shopping small SUVs for the space but utility.
  20. When I first saw this, I thought it was quite ugly. Then I started to see it at different angles and it started to grown on me and I read up on it. It's a really compelling package and I think it ought to do really well. I also think the power numbers have Ford scampering to shove the 2.3T in the Maverick, because most are speculating only the 1.5T and 2.0T. I think the 280hp/300tq version should be fairly quick.
  21. Oil filter, eh? I guess these don't have as minimal maintenance as expected.
  22. While we keep hearing this, I have a hard time believing they will pass ANY of those savings to the consumer.
  23. The Yamaha would be last on my "want" list but I'd have to at least give it a thorough look before actually crossing it off. Yep, anything European is going to be a little pricier to repair/maintain but they just have so much more character than Japanese bikes. I'd sacrifice the money for what the European bikes offer, even if they're slower around a track or in a straight line. I'm not good enough to care about that stuff and I'm not buying a supersport anyway. A Streetfighter would be pretty much THE top of the list but I know if I was buying, it wouldn't be that price bracket. Then again, it would be tough to turn down a Speed Triple so I'd have to look at those two closely. the Streetfighter might actually be too sporty than what I'd want. And, in all honesty, your bike would be high on the to-ride list if my price range would be higher as well. Naked and sporty are my sweet spot.
  24. On a side note, all of my closest friends recently bought bikes either this year or last year and it REALLY has given me the itch. I just don't have a garage for one yet and couldn't justify spending the money when we have a home to finish and garage to build.. Two of them have some Harley of sorts and two of them have Indians, none of them are my style or anywhere near what I would want to ride. I'm a HUGE fan of the naked sporty bikes. Something like a Monster 796, Triumph Street Triple 675, Yamaha MT-09, would be perfect for me
