A few were surprising though. The EcoSport is clearly a POS if they can't sell their cheapest vehicle fairly quick. The Fusion also surprises because it's cancelled and I would have assumed there was cash on the hoods to move them so they didn't have old product on the lots. I would have thought the XT4 was moving a little quicker as well.

No more of a failure than an SLK. Yeah, it was late but if they used their old formula 5 years earlier, it would have been a garbage product. The Continental really was the turning point for Lincoln and has to get credit for where Lincoln is today with their pretty awesome lineup(awesome for comfy, quiet-luxury - Obviously not sporty-luxury). Agreed, and that's why i have it a 9/10 baked product. it was have been more refined in the driving category had it not been on a modified old platform. Also agreed on the small things that went away with the production version. It was nothing drastic but a lot of small things added up to not-quite-as-elegant end product. Personally, I don't think it looked like a badge engineered Fusion or gussied up MKZ, but I do get what you mean.

There's zero reason to try and explain because you're instantly going to jump on the sales numbers so you can read some reviews for yourself. The new Continental was far from bad. It was the HUGE step forward that Lincoln needed. It was the first Lincoln in decades to get it's own bespoke engine and they were no longer using Ford switchgear inside. It also had, arguably, the best seats in the industry. I'd say it was 9/10 baked. It needed a little more refinement but it was far from bad.

NASCAR still uses a full-on manual transmission. -

Nothing surprises me about David defending automatics. -

On a track, I get what David is saying but it certainly is NOT a distraction from driving the other 99.9% of the time, on public roads. They gave that thing damn-near FWD proportions up front. The wheels are pushed too far inward by like 6 inches. -
Also, why is that list different than the link? This is what shows up when I go to the link. EDIT: Never mind, I see the link was 2020 and the new list is 2021. Well, here's the 2020 list for comparison! Hahaha

It's kind of disappointing to see the GMC Sierra and Ram 1500 Classic in the bottom ten.

This is the Benz dealer in which my wife's G-wagen has been for two months now because their "best or nothing" technicians can't fix the vehicle. I could go on a tirade about that elsewhere. Check this out, they're displaying a Silverado up front! And they also have a slew of work vans and back by the service center is about ten of the vans converted to small motor homes or just vans for humans instead of cargo.

What happens in 2025 that "we will see"? Do you really think they'll be gone in only 3.5 years because Musk is a CEO of SpaceX as well?

I don't think there is some crazy "distraction level" that's making Tesla non-profitable. He's not there doing day-to-day activities. He's strictly making company-wide decisions.
-
SpaceX is it's own private company and financially has nothing to do with Tesla. The Tesla solar panels and Wall Power are part of Tesla though.

Which includes AMG's street cars... But in all seriousness, I don't think ANY vehicle's engine and transmission could NOT withstand that. I'm almost certain brakes on all of those vehicles will fail before blowing an engine or transmission up. A crazy air filtration system is just a gimmick to advertise something "neat". I really don't see the point of it, but I guess it's a neat thing... I don't even really think it is bunker-style as the side windows clearly have a lot of window.

And they haven't made a yearly profit since the beginning either so you're requesting higher quality in other places which only increases costs even more. That sounds like a formula to lose more money.
-
Maybe they shouldn't be military-grade if they want to turn a profit..? Mercedes is a profitable company, Tesla is not. I think this right here is what absolutely kills the car for me. This ratio being off messes with everything else.

F1 changed that awhile back as the top teams would rebuild/replace-with-new after every race but now they're required to last 7 races(sealed - cannot be touched) or they're penalized. But, your point still stands. 7 races is far from extreme durability as it's estimated to be only 1326 miles + practice and qualifying(add 15%..?). Not in F1.

From what I've read, the EQS is estimated to be sub-400 miles on the US test cycle. Yeah, Mercedes botched the styling of the EQS and I'm usually a sucker for Mercedes styling. That thing just has not grown on me yet. I don't care that its function over styling. It's ugly.

I didn't mean to quote myself, meant to edit previous comment.
