  4. ...what...? It's not hard once you're building up internals and drivetrain parts for 1000hp. They're already known to snap half shafts running bone stock so there's a starting point.
  5. Street racing or unsanctioned racing the Plaid would look even better, because unprepped surfaces. As we already know though, whatever they're selling now need more than just a trans brake. 45k in mods and you have an unreliable vehicle and a Plaid can "do it all".
  6. Correct but it's kind of a goal post move when you say this after also saying there's constant one-upping each other, except Dodge has eliminated their quickest car. Regardless, a Model S Plaid pretty well whoops anything from a factory showroom, including Dodge's 800hp+ machines. I love big V8 power but the Demon was kind of a joke. From what I've read, rarely can owners actually get into the 9's and to do so, you have to then make your car illegal on the streets, eliminating a lot of the cool-factor, imo. So take a Demon, and how much needs to get dumped into it to beat a Plaid? I'd assume it'll fall about in line with what a Plaid costs.

  11. No problem, and I would not have thought they would give a 3rd party 100% control of the user interface unless that was the only head unit going in the vehicle.

  15. I 100% agree with this and it is probably a superb system. My only issue was stating Mercedes doesn't have an extremely high end system in their autos, especially the new 4D system. Just because they're using an OEM head unit, that does not mean they aren't adding a processor into the system. Hell, even my MKC, Focus, and Escape had separate processors. From what I can see, they have the same setup as the others in which they just have their own app within the head unit to dive deep into the details to customize everything. Where are you reading they had control to design the whole head unit?
  16. Exactly. All they need to do is sell the slow speed maneuverability of the vehicle and it'll sell accordingly. That is all that is needed from four wheel steering.
  17. The thing is, neither is *actually* comparable to what both make for home theaters and they're GREATLY restricted to what the auto manufacturer will allow. My point was just the statement, "Having it in a Grand Wagoneer does take it to the Luxury Level that even Mercedes has not met yet." Is complete BS.
  18. You do realize they're not putting a single component from their home theater setups in a Jeep, right? Unless you've sat in a 2020+ S-Class with the specific system optioned, you haven't heard the system I linked above. Bose has always had very, VERY below average car audio. Nobody I've talked to in peson or online has thought they were anything worthwhile in automobiles. They were better than the none-Bose systems but that's about it.

  21. It's certainly inevitable that people will street race more with less tracks to go to. People with their "itch" to race and "stretch their car out" are still going to find a place to race. I'm not saying they should, but they will.
  22. I think he means it was built and sourced from a 3rd party but still assembled onto the trucks on their regular assembly lines.
  23. I'm about to hit 30,000 miles of driving my MKC(approaching 67,000) and I don't think I've owned a vehicle this long since my first car (1995 Beretta Z26). In all fairness, I intended on keeping my Escape for a long time before a lady blew a red light. I then intended on keeping my Focus for a long time before the dual clutch transmission was too much of a piece of sht that I knew I would eventually have to spend serious money on it once it was out of warranty. So hopefully I keep the MKC for awhile and add a 3rd vehicle to the house.
