Certainly. If you already have a cordless line of work tools, there's likely a mower that'll use the same battery. You can certainly find an electric push mower in the $2-400 if you're just looking to get an electric mower.

Per EGO's website and that mower I had linked: 100%. It isn't more powerful, it's just larger capacity for longer runtimes. Wait, so the 5.0ah batteries don't fit into the mower that comes with the 7.5ah battery? That seems like BS and is a big deterrent because they also sell mowers with the 5.0ah battery.

Run time will be my only concern but I have a rider so I really won't use the push mower often. It will just be when I feel like it because push mowing a yard is just nice and enjoyable. I have a half acre lot and the full runtimes on most push mowers is pushing the limits so what I need but I don't really think that will be an issue because I'll have other batteries to swap in to finish if I ran out because I plan to get at least one other with the blower and/or string trimmer to have 2 or 3 total batteries. The one 7.5ah that comes with the mower plus one 5.0ah with the blower or trimmer would get the job done, easily.

Not double the price for lawn equipment though. You don't have to buy the top of the line electric mower. Top of the line residential gas mowers are also $6-1000 for a Toro Super Recycler or Honda HRX. Toro's electric Recycler ranges from 400-660 and the gas versions range from 280-500. Yes, more but not double and you're getting equipment that is sooooo much more convenient. You're also starting off with a heck of a lot more power than the $280 Recycler with the Briggs & Stratton engine so its not a 1:1 comparison. The electric ones are more comparable to the Honda powered mowers.

Greenworks was the brand of the large electric push mower, 25 inches. I really thought it was a 30 inches like the Toro Timemaster. I’ll have to give those all a good look. It does seem that the more I look at them the better they appeal to me. Unfortunately, the mower I like is $650.. that’s a pretty penny for a push mower but the Toro and Husqvarna self propelled electric push mowers are about the same anyway.

The only downside would be runtime with electric vs gas when it comes to doing what sounds like quite a bit of "real work". I agree that electric stuff is phenomenal. Seeming how I'm yet to buy anything, I'm reading more and more about EGO's line. It really does sound quite fantastic and there are hardly any negative reviews. My mower would certainly be self propelled but I can't seem to find the 30" electric mower anywhere anymore. I'm almost certain it was EGO who made it. I'd ask which exact models do you have but I'd be willing to be they've been replaced by now as that stuff is very quickly changing.

Oh yeah, all electric is the way to go. My yard it too big for an electric rider that I'd be willing to spend the money on yet but I know they're on their way. I think I'm going either Toro or Husqvarna. I'm yet to buy anything but I've been researching the crap out of them. I haven't read anything negative about EGO but there's just something about them that doesn't pull me in like the "ols school" brands do. I'll have to give them a look again because an electric push mower is one of the mandatory items they must make and EGO actually has a 30" push mower that would be fantastic.

Fuel efficiency where there are no gas stations is probably quite crucial, actually... Oh yeah, you cut too much and too often for an electric one. They're great for the average homeowner needing fallen branches and some bigger things up to 12" but that's about it.

How much and how big of stuff are you using it for? I borrowed my dad's Husqvarna 40V chainsaw and it impressed the hell out of me. I'm 100% going all electric as I grow my yard tools.

Those numbers just don't add up.. 27.6mpg for all a 4WDm loaded and towing.. I mean I don't have any reason to believe he is lying but 27.6 seems out of reach for an unloaded 2WD 3.5EB going 75-80mph. Heck, I'm pretty sure when I'm running 75-80mph I'm only about 25mpg. It's gotta be the whole small displacement and turbo situation. When out of boost, there's just too much drag at those speeds for a small n/a engine OR you're dabbling in the boost also decreasing fuel economy. Overall cost saving would probably favor the 5.3 though. Unless you have a heavy foot(which it doesn't sound like it with 16.25 out of the 2500HD) I'd bet you could get right around 20mpg with the 5.3. -

I've gotten pretty good mileage out of my two EcoBoosts. I have a pretty light foot though so I expect to do a little better than the ratings. I have also noticed with both of them that once you hit about 70mph, the fuel economy starts to drop quite significantly compared to n/a vehicles I've owned. My AWD 2.3T MKC is rated at 18/23 and my lifetime average over the 19,094 miles I've had it has been 23.2mpg. My AWD 2.0T Escape was rated at 21/28 and I averaged 24.7mpg over 24,611 miles. -

Yep, i think the 100% functionality of them is what I like. They're built tough, look tough, and are meant to do work rather than just look pretty. I mean, isn't that one reason we like highly capable vehicles whether its Corvette ZR1's, Wranglers Rubicons, 911 GT3 RS's? Have your OEM wheels powder coated for a few hundred bucks..? That would look pretty damn awesome. I would very much prefer those without the pinstripe, but the style and white would look awesome on your Avalanche.

Yeah, i knew the "Real" Bronco came with them as well. i mostly thought it was a fun fact the Sport's came with aluminum "steelies".

Correct, it is not on the base SR model, SR5, or Limited models. The TRD Sport and TRD Off road are 33k and 34k, respectively, though. So you're not forced to get some crazy priced mid-size truck for 45-50k with the TRD Pro. The TRD Sport can be had with 2WD, as well, so you're not forced to have 4WD. I forgot the Gladiator can also be had with a manual transmission.
