I've never seen a Tacoma or Tundra with a snapped frame in person either but they're apparently happening left and right.

It something isn't breaking down on me and whatever the repair is covered while I have a loaner vehicle, it's reliable in my book.

Leg, hip, shoulder room? This is such BS.. Look at your knee outside of the seat because it's too cramped for you. I can almost guarantee you can't close the door in that EXACT position. -
There's actually only one engine available. There's no V6.

He can miraculously fit into a Bolt but a CX9 and Continental are cramped and tiny. -
Tacomas lead the sales of the mid-size trucks...by a pretty good margin. As of Q2, they sold 51k Tacomas and the next closest was the Ranger with 25k units.

It looks pretty sweet and that's half of what matters in a vehicle. "common", look how old that truck is. That wasn't made this decade.

It's a shame the diesel CX5 ended up with terrible fuel economy ratings and was a flop. That thing should have had a 40mpg highway rating.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM

My only real assumptions are either they couldn't fit the equivalently powered larger ones or they didn't want to make a larger one when they already had these in-house with the ability to run them together. -

Why would it need more than four motors? -
I definitely fall into the ease of entry/exit category. I don't have bad knees or back or anything. It's just much easier to step horizontally rather than climb up of fall down.

I think they should do it, even if it's just to find flaws in the vehicle when being run as hard as possible. That's not an F40(F430 Spider) and it's probably about 15 years old compared to the Model X. FWIW, the F430 was made from 2005-2009. Regardless, I bet the X wins in a drag race against most Ferraris. -

Always ironic that David's fleet is the least efficient... He's huffing more coal than anybody here! -
Yeah, that would make more sense to me.

i know what you mean but then people will complain it's "too small". There's no solution that will please everybody. You don't owe 25k...??♂️ Yeah, after reading some, it seems to split the difference between mid-sizers and full-sizers.

I agree with the horizontal setup. If the vehicle is wide enough, I think it looks better and is probably easier to quickly glance and navigate as your eyes don't need to drop and come back up as much to get back to the road. The Rivian is full-size truck sized though, compared to the Mach-E. it doesn't look like you can turn the screen in the Mach-E and have it make sense.

They didn't dump them all at once. The Fusion is still in production...for another couple of weeks. GM only has one vehicle with "SS". Ford has done the "Sport" or "ST" on almost their entire lineup though. That's what happens when one of their biggest buyers goes out of business..Hertz. ?

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM

I think for schools, at their initial costs, is not worth it yet. For private companies or anywhere else where there are many more miles put on them and they're going to be used for more than a "state budget says we can get a new one even if it's perfectly functioning but it's been X years", they seem much more financially smart. I don't know the miles my bus does per day but when it was a full schedule they probably made two or three trips in the morning and same in the afternoon(nothing between 8-330). Each round trip is probably about 80 miles so they'd need 160-240 miles of range and can charge between 8-330 and again over night. I'm assuming dfelt's numbers were not school buses. -

i just know i would love it if the buses I rode were electric. The clunky-@ss transmissions and air brakes and howling diesel at interstate speeds make me want that ironed out. -

I also think it has to do with the people wanting original equipment in their rebuilds. FWIW, I don't know how original the 18k block is or if it's been slightly modified.
