    A pretty wrapper only goes so far when the present inside isn’t all it’s cracked up to be (i.e.-sluggish automatic transmission, subpar MPGs and acceleration compared to the competition. And before you take this as a slight, since you drive one, know that at least you had sense enough to get a manual which I would think gives a little more gusto than the anemic 9 speed auto. Too bad they only account for a small fraction of sales. While struggling, the Chrysler 300 sells more than all Alfa and Fiat models combined. Chrysler is not the problem here. $h!ty FCA management is.

    I agree 100%. Both were garbage forty years ago and they clearly have not improved upon that reputation.

    FCA was up for the month while Benz was down. FCA is also only down 3% for the year while Mercedes is down 8%. Not sure how you paint that as a rosy picture. I do agree about Alfa though. It is just a joke in automotive clown shoes at this point and perfectly illustrates the money spent on it by FCA was money wasted.

    The “tolerant right” remark was a tongue in cheek response to blu referring to me as the “tolerant left” because of you disagree with Trump and his supporters you’re somehow intolerant rather than just being a concerned individual is tired of being lied to by both parties and doesn’t just buy the latest bull$h! uttered by our current president.

    Here’s he “skinny” of this whole tariff situation. It flies in the face of the current NAFTA arrangement and almost guarantees that the future USMCA deal or “NAFTA 2.0” will be dead in the water and it’s easy to see why. What country will want to make a deal with a man that just reneges on it at a moments notice just to satisfy his own ego? He has a forty year history of this so no one should be surprised that a deal won’t actually happen. Guess there’s always the North Korea deal though. Oh wait.

    So it’s better for ONE brand to have a $3 million spread between their cheapest and most expensive cars yet you are on here giving GM $h! without understanding the Vettes place in all this? I just love how you think GMs phantom issue wit their tiers is a bigger deal than one brand having a seven figure spread on the same dealer lot.

    How high are you? Did you just seriously try to compare a Vette with an almost $3 million hypercar? Seriously? So Mercedes excuse in having multiple tiers is what? ”Shall I look at the $3 million hypercar or shall I look at the $30K FWD car? Good thing they both happen to be in the same place.”

And if Cadillac exists for more expensive models, what is Mercedes excuse for $30K FWD compact cars and Metris vansin an otherwise Uber luxury brand that share the same lots as their $300K+ models? I know but since the C8 isn’t out yet, I’m going with known numbers.

Go ahead and build the damn thing that Mexico was supposed to pay for and didn’t. After it’s done, I want you and every other Trump supporter to look at a map of the US and notice the over 10,000 miles of coastline. Are you going to put a wall around that too once everyone starts using these little thing called BOATS to get here? Having said that, how does Mexico step it up with jobs for their people if we are taking them away with tariffs, which again is Trumps states goal?

    I just love how you expect a Vette to basically stay the same price while literally everything else has gone up. There were Mercedes models that were “cheap” back then that aren’t now. Where’s their criticism? Oh that’s right. For the record, the Vette starts at $55,900 which still makes a value in the sports car world. Stop exaggerating with this $60K nonsense. It should be considered shameful that the Vette shames much more expensive sport cars from Germany in terms of performance but we will just ignore that so that you can criticize something else about GM.

    Everyone is building more crossovers because that’s what people are buying. Also, if building a mid-engine Vette is “GM playing it safe”, then I guess that’s a good thing. I also see that they are not “playing it safe” here. They clearly have plans for Cadillac performance models that go beyond this new V series designation. That’s just more speculation without proof from you.
