On a much better note, I am out of my arm sling officially. Have another follow up visit in two weeks and then start two to three months of physical therapy. That I am not looking forward to that because I still can’t raise my arm above shoulder height without severe pain but I’m sure they are to “make it” get there lol.

Apparently Cadillac padded an extra $3K to it. I’m glad they dropped the 2.0 but that’s an $11K increase over the $51K model. That’s a big jump even with AWD and a V6 standard.

These are actually good moves by Cadillac. The price increase was expected since they were dropping the four pot. Making AWD standard on the base 3.6L is a very smart move. Whether it helps sales or not is another matter in this CUV world but it’s a smart move nonetheless.

The extra luxury does not cover those old school truck bones unfortunately. Not a bad thing if you don’t mind that kind of ride but it’s definitely not for everyone. It’s taller than the 4 Runner stance also does not help. It’s why is just go with a 4 Runner and call it a day.

Very true. It may be dated but it is damn near bullet proof. At least it also has those proven 4 Runner bones. Personally I’d take a 4 Runner over the GX but I guess if one wants a little more luxury, you couldn’t beat the reliability of the GX.

Fact is that Mercedes will continue to get away with selling a sizeable portion of the “best or nothing” to the fleet buyers while brands like Cadillac would catch never ending hell for doing such things. Like Drew alluded to, MB would be in the financial doghouse if not for the taxi buying folks.

Because you’re splitting hairs in an attempt to show how much better the E Class is than the XTS. That’s not even up for debate. Yes, the E Class is better than the XTS but not really better than the CT6 that will continue to be sold. That “will continue to be sold” part is the key part of this. The only one confused about that appears to be you.

Doesn’t matter. It is done. There is no 2020 and that’s just the fact of the matter. The CT6 will probably pick up in fleet numbers as a result.

I was not crazy about the previous Colorado, namely the I5 but I would have the new one (or its Canyon twin) in a heartbeat if I were in the market for one. I got a lot of behind the wheel time in them last year when I was working part time at a nearby Chevy dealership. Drove the bass four banger, the V-6 (my personal preference), and the diesel (surprisingly spry but just not a diesel fan). They all share good traits, like a great ride and common sense and well laid out controls. I don’t get the criticisms about the look personally. It’s a truck, not a luxury car. As long as it’s put together well, that’s more important than the look and “soft touch” materials. Yes chewing tobacco, the most disgusting use of a useless product. Hell, I’m personally glad that I never even smoked a cigarette, especially during my first 35 years in the biggest tobacco producing state in the country (NC).
