Cadillac News: 2020 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Aren't As Powerful As Their Predecessors
The third sentence in your post is exactly my point. It just seems unnecessarily confusing.

This makes no sense at all. A whole 20 more HP on the CT5 makes it a V? I agree with William on this. The setup on both sound more like V-Sport trims as opposed to actual V series models. Seriously, what is GM smoking right now? Even the auto log explanation doesn’t make sense when they already have V-Sport trims they could just as easily implement for that plan and save the V for the hardcore performance models. I just don’t get it.

I am dying laughing right now because I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I have done the I-40 drive five times (NC to Cali and back one time and Arizona to NC and back the other times) and yes, you definitely have to pick your spots in between Amarillo and OKC. Too bad cars can't run off of dead skunks and deer. Then you would have an endless supply of both in the panhandle! "yeah, let me get some of that venison 89 octane!"

Why do I know a lot of people who put gas in their car when they still have a half of a tank in it? Do they have gas range anxiety? The same folks you are seeing are probably the same folks who did that in their old gas powered cars. Nice of you to admit that you have provided no real substance to the discussion, as usual. Don’t worry though. Everyone here already knew your intent. The EVs are coming to get you. Better store up all your gasoline now lol. I would like to state that while I support EVs in general, I am and will always be a full blooded carnivore.

Really GM? Can’t save that name for a RWD SUV? At at least Ford had good sense to put the Explorer back on a RWD platform and will do the same with the Bronco. For the record, this is not a knock on the CUV itself. It’s just the wrong name for it. The profile does scream Nissan Kicks though. Not sure that’s a good thing.

Charging times are going down every year. Supper chargers are headed towards fifteen minutes full charges and less. You need to keep up with the changes before making the same old arguments against it. And prices? Seriously? Maybe you haven’t noticed, but ICE cars aren’t exactly cheap at least EVs give cheaper fueling options and simple economics dictate that they will be at least financially on par with the old tech ICE auto. It’s really not that hard figure when you’re not fighting it every chance you get. And calling for investors is standard fair in any business. You think the ICE automotive started and succeeded without investors? We we will just sidestep the fact that at least with an EV, I can “fuel” it at home while I sleep and never have to stop in another dirty ass gas station if I do choose (and if you knew anything about the average gas station in Phoenix, AZ, you would know exactly what I’m talking about).

Toyota News: Rumorpile: Next Gen Tundra to get Twin-Turbo V6 Hybrid
Without knowing all the details, it sounds like Toyota might actually be taking the market a little more seriously with this new platform plus newer powertrains (way overdue mind you, but I digress). The full size truck market is the last American make stronghold but they should not overlook a company like Toyota and to a lesser extent Nissan. Not saying that it will happen but the market has seen some crazy shifts over the last two decades and the full size truck market could be due for one soon.

Toyota News: Rumorpile: Next Gen Tundra to get Twin-Turbo V6 Hybrid
First off, it took them thirty years to do the things you mentioned. Second, and most importantly, it’s called a joke even though I would trust the reliability of the Tundra (flaws and all) over an overpriced German Jeep any day.

So their powertrains are the same age as the G-Wagon?

Fiat News: Is Fiat the Next Dead Brand in the U.S.?
When I worked at a Chevy dealership, I got a lot of time behind the wheel of several cars, the Sonic being one of them (had one for a rental back in NC a few years back as well). It is a surprisingly solid and nimble little car and the hatch gave it at least a little versatility. If I was twenty years younger, this would have been at or near the top of my commuter car list. I drove the Fiat 500 once and wished for my twenty minutes back (the twenty minutes I had behind the wheel of it). Just not impressed with it at all. Good riddance to it.

Fiat News: Is Fiat the Next Dead Brand in the U.S.?
Probably because it’s ugly to most people, has atrocious resale value, and has even worse reliability. It’s a shame no one cares about cars like that. And while it may not look as “exotic” (I personally think they look cartoonish), the Sonic was a far superior city car even if it was a tick longer. Throw in the Mini Cooper as well even though their reliability is also spotty at times.

Fiat News: Is Fiat the Next Dead Brand in the U.S.?
It honestly should have been a Alfa Spyder to begin with but to me, Alfa is no better than Fiat for same reasons I mentioned earlier. Sure they look better than the Fiat models overall but their reliability is still garbage just like it was more than 35 years ago. If someone wants a 124 that bad, they should just get the car it copies. Just my two cents.

Kill it with fire. Almost a decade since they started selling cars in the US and the facts and numbers show that no one wants the POS on wheels, just like the last time they sold cars here.
