Again, spot on. He is trying to lump together two different types of buyers. A Pony car guy will point out the cylinder count but I have yet to see one luxury car buyer do the same. CT6 needs a V8 because a lot of big luxury sedan buyers like a V8. Chrysler 300C buyers like V8s, Genesis G90, K900 have V8s, the 6-series, CLS and A7 offer V8s. I'd imagine a lot of buyers spending $70k might want the V8 option. Even the Camaro and Mustang have V8s, because sports car enthusiasts like them. Yet do to the eco system and the required MPG, we see your beloved MB S and E are now coming with 4 and 6 bangers first and then later on with a V8. So how is this any different than Cadillac. I would be surprised if we still have V8 and bigger engines in autos in 5 to 10 years. Electric motors with small engines, the Hybrid will be the norm in the future and eventually pure electric. It is NO different but he has to have something to complain about since it is not Mercedes Benz we are talking about here. Good lord man. Again, V8 on the way and lastly, that A8L starts at near $30K higher than the CT6 and obviously the CT6 will not compete with a long wheelbase A8. Having said that, it will suck for the A8 when it does come because a CT6 with a V8 is going to severely undercut that overdressed Volkswagen. That Dodge is not 4 wheel drive. Never saw anything but the one rear wheel ever move. Either that, or the driver is the biggest 4 wheel driving idiot on the planet. Both rear wheels were spining at one point( Around 44 seconds you can see the far sided one) but either way I never saw a front tire spinning so it had to be 2WD. Yea, it looks to me that you have a 4x4 defender up against a 2wd ram. Put a 4x4 ram against the defender and I doubt the defender would budge. My thoughts exactly. 2WD vs. 4WD is always only going to go one way. Which only proves they don't know jack about trucks and 4WD. Sounds like the majority of pick up drivers here in Phoenix. Well, he brought up recalls by a company that first off, sells/has sold significantly more cars across the globe than GM, and which were by and large, for minor things that don't affect drivability. Conversely, GM has been wrought with recalls itself lately, and they are of much more severity than Toyota's. In other words, it's a hypocritical statement. Which, again, has NOTHING to do with him looking for a cheap SUV/CUV. Oh and that recall severity is very subjective because some would call the ability to stop your car pretty severe, as would the same be said for frame rust. That's a pretty big deal to a lot of folks, just like the GM issues were.

Given the attention VW has received over the diesel emission scandal, it does not surprise me that the Cruze struggled in sales. A lot of people probably became a little wary that it was more widespread than it is. GM is doing the right thing by not giving up though and making sure that the new generation Cruze diesel will have it's day.

While the backseat is snug in the ATS, that is true of all models in its class and there is more than enough room in the front. I am 5'10", 215 lbs. and I had room to spare up front. The back will always depend on who you are sitting behind but again, this is true of models in the ATS's class.

Really don't care for it in silver (but I say that about most cars out there) but that car is downright gorgeous in black! Very stately and modern in that color.

If they do not wake up within moments, it's life threatening head trauma that requires hospitalization, like someone taking a full-on baseball bat swing to the skull. If something knocks you out, you wake up moments later a bit foggy and soon come back to a state of normal awareness. If something knocks you into a coma, you're fighting for your life. You're not understanding me. I'm not disagreeing about this case. The person is full of it. However, you said that you could not be knocked out that long without anesthesia and I simply said that was not true with an example of why. They are profitable and those margins have gone up every year since bankruptcy. Again, pay attention to the actual facts. That is also not the ONLY way for them to make more profit. Their trucks are proof of that alone. And don't sit there and now try to dismiss Toyotas numbers. You brought it up and were corrected as to why those numbers are misleading. Admit you just pulled that out of your rear and own up to your error for once. Even if you take away the currency manipulation and yen exchange rates, Toyota is still kicking butt. That article mentioned they get like 500 million from the yen exchange, even if it was $1 billion, they still made an $18 billion profit. I don't like Toyota nor their products, but that company bankrolls cash. I know GM makes their money on trucks, that is how the company has been since the 90s, all the profits came from trucks with Hummer, Escalade, the GMT360s, Silverado/Sierra, Aztek/Rendezvous, Colorado/Canyon, etc. They had all those trucks in the early-mid 2000s and still went bankrupt. Their trucks didn't save them then. If you look at the current GM lineup and current auto sales over all. Crossovers, particularly small crossovers are growing, luxury segment is growing. Pick-up trucks and full size SUV is sort of a flat market, plus you have new Tundra, Tacoma, Titan, Ridgeline hitting the pick up segments. I don't think GM can hope to grow global Silverado sales 20%, but I do think they could grow global Cadillac sales by 50%. And Cadillacs should have high profit margins. If GM could sell 500,000 Cadillacs a year at $4,000 profit per vehicle that is $2 Billion in total profit. If they sold 1 million Cadillacs that is $4 billion in profit, that is more than all of GM makes now. That is why Cadillac is the most important brand GM has. Stop, stop, just stop. Until you see the folly of this, just stop. Don't forget to grease those goalpost wheels though. Makes them easier to move. BTW, GM has been in the middle of a $12 billion investment in 8 new Cadillac models for the rest of this decade so you have been misinforming yourself if you think GM hasn't been taking a more aggressive, i.e. more money making, approach to Cadillac's future. Sure doesn't seem like it but stranger things have happened.
