  1. Well there isn't a 1LE version, is there? There isn't a GT500 yet either but that didn't stop you commenting on that thread did it?
  2. I would opt for the V6 AWD. That is the sweet spot price in that lineup it seems.
  3. Wait wait wait man! I need to start my popcorn!
  4. Oh and lastly...topic please because this isn't about marketshare. It's about GM recalls on twenty year old cars.
  5. And that tale told here about GM Market Share increase was a what then?Maybe you missed the above part where GMs retail sales growth far exceeded Fords and as a result their profits have increased as well, hence me saying that they are going the Ford route. You should be taking that as a compliment but of course it appears that went right over your head. Maybe you missed the part where ' the tale told here about GM's Market Share increase was what then?' It appears that went right over your head. So you did not read the article at all. Thanks for confirming that because I never said one thing about market share prior. That's you trying to put words in my mouth. Now head on back over to the 2017 GT500 thread so that you and your buddy can keep each other company and work on those up votes. Oh, that's right. You ran outa votes for the day. Oh well.
  6. It really wasn't though. Ford has played it smart with managing their production and inventories, as well as reducing their dependence on rental sales. GM is following suit and that is a good thing.

  8. Yeah, they are just going the Ford route and focusing more on profits. http://www.autonews.com/article/20151012/OEM/310129962/gm-claims-victory-even-as-its-market-share-slips "GM's share of more-profitable retail sales this year has grown faster than for any of the other six largest automakers, figures from the Automotive News Data Center show. GM has dialed way back on sales to rental-car operators, long its favorite sales-goosing trick. Transaction prices are up, while incentive spending has remained below that of key competitors." in addition, "But this year's downtick is largely explained by a 50,000-unit reduction in the number of vehicles headed to rental lots, a 14 percent drop. GM's 7.2 percent retail sales growth topped all major automakers, including Toyota (up 2.9 percent) and Ford (up 5.1 percent)." It helps when you tell the whole tale.
  9. Simply baffling how the obvious is missed and the only counter is to act like a child when the subject is clearly being discussed. Now that the dust has settled for now regarding the SS vs. GT, I want to see what this new model Camaro is, i.e. the possible 2017 ZL1/Z28. With what they have already accomplished with the SS, the next model up is going to be a beast!
  10. I am talking about the topic and have clearly stated as to the hows and whys of that. How about you? Repeatedly saying "topic please" is, in fact, not staying on topic. Again, great win for the Camaro.
  11. It's funny when one brings up "pipeline dreams" when they are guilty of pulling that tactic themselves every time a Mustang loses a comparison to the Camaro. "Just wait two more years and Ford will update that power and tranny to beat the Camaro" or something to that effect. I mean all it needs is more gear and more power right? That is the very definition of "pipeline dreams". Topic please. Follow your own advice. "Ahhhh, pipeline dreams. Until then, G T 3 5 0" And me pulling a comment about the Mustang needing more power and more gears is directly on topic, unlike mentioning the unrelated GT350. Back to you Bong.

  13. Weighing less and having more gears will do that. No doubt. Crazy that some can't admit that GM knocked it out of the park on this Camaro, where the previous gen. was a solid double.
  14. I would love to see a head to head between the SS and the GT350. They are both great cars and no doubt they would put down some crazy numbers.
  15. RAM is long overdue for a full size entry in the SUV field. A RAMCharger Hellcat edition would be a thing of beauty, even though I don't really care for SUVs that much.
  16. " No I was talking about Nissan. No wait, I was talking about Nissan and Toyota.."Yes, your changing of story while throwing in a name call jab is an epic fail. So you're a mind reader now and you knew exactly what he was talking about when he said it, even though there are five players in the full size game, and three of those are all on older bones? Man, that's impressive. Bravo! Nice of you to chime in. Wouldn't be complete without you sticking your nose in. Thanks for the input. Listen man, I'm just impressed by your mind reading capabilities. It is truly impressive to know what someone is thinking even when they haven't said anything. Again, bravo!
  17. I'm not sure how "Kreskin" is an insult here. He's an amazing mentalist. http://www.amazingkreskin.com/

  19. Money willing, I'd love a CPO 392 in gun metal gray!
  20. I loved it. I know it's not a canyon carver like the Camaro or Stang but it is far more livable for me. Being that is pretty much the same dimensions up front as my Magnum, that is a huge plus for me. I love the room in it. Whew! Just glad I was let off easy here though. That was really bothering me.
  21. Good to know. So if they do an LT4 version I can expect it to get even better FE numbers? And check out the size of that fuel tank. Guess they just chose a different priority for packaging instead of truly having less room. T The bigger gas tank is a trade off for the less than useless trunk. I haven't seen such a useless trunk since my last MR2. Of course, that's not the primary goal with this car or any pony car but it would be nice to have a larger opening for it. It's not that bad a trunk. Besides, the back seats are good parcel shelves. I don't know man. I'm a little spoiled with having a car with a ton of space and after test driving a Camaro and a Challenger last year and doing a thorough walk around, the Challenger is the hands down winner in that department.
  22. I have the magazine at home, as a matter of fact. However, I made my point and you have chosen to ignore it but that's okay. I've had my fun. All yours Bong.
  23. Even more hilarious is claiming a "refinement" edge against a car with Cadillac underpinnings. That doesn't even merit explaining at this point. I'm a little surprised that the more powerful car had better MPGs though.
  24. Okay. Let me be the one to tell what you didn't catch on to yesterday. In your rush to use the MT article on the GT as your evidence of a more refined car, you missed the part in the article where they were comparing it to a 2015 Camaro, not the 2016. From the article that you backed. "The interior is nice, too. Get in a fifth-generation Camaro (even the SS 1LE), and you're reminded constantly that you're sacrificing for performance." Just wanted to clarify that for you because you might have missed that when it was brought up four days ago in the GT thread here. So the article I read in the December issue of Motor Trend, with the 6th gen camaro and Mustang on the FREAKING COVER......was an illusion? There is even 34 forum pages on the issue over at MT, of which you have many posts, complete with mod warnings just prior to locking it. Is that your goal yet again here? http://forums.motortrend.com/70/9740627/the-general-forum/all-new-camaro-ss-vs-mustang-gt/index.html I read that as well and they said that there ergonomics and such were close enough to not matter. Performance, on the other hand (and that is what these cars are about despite your statements to the contrary), is all Camaro at this point, hence them giving the nod to the Camaro. BTW, next time you should clarify which GT article you are talking about since there are clearly two in question. Oh and who can't even post there anymore and who was told to stop bringing up MT drama here before the thread here was locked? Yeah, that's what I thought. (never mind the fact that you are delusional is you think I was the sole reason for it getting locked because you obviously did not read the posts by certain Ford fanboys there who were called out multiple times).
