Then consider yourself lucky as I have seen this behavior in every state that carries I-40 lol. In this, we are in total agreement. Who would have thought the movie "Idiocracy" was actually prophecy and a documentary rolled into one?
-
Funny how you only use part of the facts. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fxstreet.com/amp/news/lcid-stock-news-lucid-group-inc-drops-lower-as-pipe-lockup-period-approaches-202108311122 At least, unlike Tesla investors, they were given the option to cash in. Tesla doesn’t give any option for dividends which makes their stock price look good but also way overvalued. This has been discussed before. None of this means the end of companies Ike Lucid though.

It was pretty good, for the record. My dad was the frugal king. I am merely his humble frugal servant.
-
Hey! Who you calling' cheap? Oh wait. That was me. I'm cheap. Carry on.
-
This is beyond bad news at the wrong time of the year (like there's a good time to lose your job).
-
What is with Dodge drivers lately? Not a day goes by, when I'm on the interstate, that a Charger or Challenger driver isn't acting like they are in Cannonball Run. I am over all of them and sadly it's not just the V8 drivers out there. Even the 3.6L fools do that and I don't understand it. Just offering a master class in "How to drive like a complete Jackass: Sponsored by your friends at Mopar".

My workshop is just a straight four channel set up with music in mind, even though the receiver is a Home Theater model. It has a bi-amp mode that allows a straight four channel mode for music, which was my goal to begin with. Regarding my living room set up, you are correct on the speaker brand symmetry importance. I will say that the Infinitys I have to do match up pretty well and have a surprising amount of power for a slimmer profile tower. I'm more than happy with them, for sure. I would never own anything by Land Rover but those are very sharp looking and off road proven, for sure. Just would not want the maintenance and parts hassle.
-
When my living room is less "disasterly" looking (been rearranging some things), I'll show you my setup. There is a 7.2 Ch Onkyo receiver in mine, Klipsch center and front surround channels and a pair of Infinity Reference (another $15 Goodwill find btw) slim profile floor speakers. Have not added a pair of back surround speakers yet but they will probably be Klipsch as well, just to keep it semi-consistent lol. A really nice turntable is in its future.
-
Does it really make that big of a difference? Both of my receivers are pre-amped for a turntable already so I am wondering if it is truly worth adding to an existing system. Looks like some good Schiit (yes, I was itching to say that).
-
Those are really good turntables for the price. If I go with a belt driven model, it'll be something along that nature, as far design goes. Love the modern look to it. All of my "throwback" media is in my workshop (CDs, Albums, and Minidisc, yes minidisc). My current setup in my workshop. The four components here (below) cost me a grand total of $45, courtesy of of Goodwill in Peoria, AZ and the pawnshop where I work part time. I am a cheap deal fiend lol. Add in the two pairs of USA made Sony floor speakers, and I spent less than $100 for everything.
-
I can support that. Looking for a nice one for my living room but I think I may go direct drive instead of belt driven. Still mulling that one over. I hate to say it, but I actually like it. It does a really nice job of paying homage to the classic ZX rides like the 240 and 260 with even a little bit of the 2nd gen 300 in there. More "back to it's roots".

Yet none of those “issues” have been issues since they have ZERO problem moving any of them. I think GM has it pretty well covered. And what everyone else here is trying to tell you is that the D3 have been selling luxury pick ups for years now. It’s your favorite company that didn’t seem to have a case for it even though they are allegedly a luxury car company. See the problem yet? I am wondering if anyone can get new products out on time, at this point. This shortage has affected literally everyone.
-
Care to cite ANY of this? Top level trim pick ups are luxury and they cant keep them on the lots, like the F-150 Platinum. Point here is that the domestics were already producing luxury pick ups and will continue to do so, and quite well at that.
-
Not a single panel was shared between the two. Same for the interior (the 2nd gen anyway). Yeah, they made some money on but it wasn’t that cheap to swap it over. There was a different engine too.
-
Shhhh! You know can't post facts around here when it comes to Daimler fans. You'll just make their arms tired from all the bar moving.
-
This is why a reasonable discussion cannot be had with you. You jump all over the map with senseless comparisons and move the bar whenever it pleases you. And we have talked about these lies you like to spill about transaction prices. Just stop it already. No one cares and this never goes anywhere because you refuse to acknowledge facts. Well since they don't sell for that price new, then that makes this one of those stupid comparisons of yours. The Slade and Navigator don't even compete with the overpriced and way too small G-Wagen. I do know that they routinely outsell their actual German competition though so...
-
With those two partners alone, they are starting on better footing than Tesla (in the early days). At least they didn’t piggy back off of a useless two door (from another company) for six years before they put out their first actual car which was also not a CUV or SUV or Pickup.
-
And it is an entirely different (and smaller) type of EV as it is more CUV while the Rivian can actually go off road. Again, won’t be cross shopped. Besides I said they had nothing right now, not that they had a future nothing. What in the bar moving hell does that have to do with the price of tea in China? No one said it had to outsell the Ford (it won’t). It was about having more than one model in the EV realm (since you originally said they had just one), that BMW currently had nothing for it (since you made the ridiculous comparisons to their multiple ICE CUVs). It is also clear that you no little to nothing about Rivian so the rest of your post is 100% bunk at this point.
-
And none are electric like Rivian making this a truly apples to oranges comparison.

Most likely the 70s and that "tech" goes back to the 1960s, as far as GM is concerned. ERGS (per Wikipedia) Electronic Route Guidance System (ERGS) was a 1970s era government sponsored in-vehicle navigation and route guidance system used in the United States. ERGS was the initial stage of a larger research and development effort called the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Other programs include Japan's CACS and similar projects in Europe. ERGS was a destination oriented system that required a human driver to enter a destination code into the vehicle system. The vehicle communicated with an instrument intersection where the destination code was decoded and routing information was sent back to the vehicle.[1] And in 1966, https://www.wheels.ca/news/1966-in-car-navigation-system-looks-very-familiar-today/

But in the most technical sense, they have been in "business" for 18 years. That was the point I believe Balth was trying to make.
-
Yet, you probably made a similar statement about Tesla years back. Meanwhile, they compete just fine with those same companies these days. Bet those buyers know who Tesla is now. The same will apply to Lucid once and if they can get out the door without the same quality hiccups that have plagued Tesla since day one. Except that is not what SMK said. He said the company started ten years ago which, as Balth pointed out, is not true.
-
On top of that, he has said that those very same companies have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to Tesla yet now...
-
Apparently you didn’t know about Rivian because you said, earlier, that they only had one so that’s a lie right off the bat. About the sedans, duh. I’m aware of the market but funny how this level of criticism did not befall a certain German brand when they introduced their first real EV SEDAN. Point here being that sedans are only surviving in the luxury realm right now so this was an appropriate release seeing as how it has been in development for years. Your entire argument seems to skip of the facts mentioned above. Exactly. He bitches about one company NOT putting out an SUV and instead releasing a sedan and then bitches about the other only having one SUV like any new company has started with twelve when they first come out. Damn if you do and damn if you don’t with his bar moving. I swear he has Tesla stock. Stick to the damn subject. The M5 is not competition for it. The Tesla Model S is and on paper, the Lucid spanks it and according to the review I posted above, it destroys it on every metric but what do I know. I just see the words of the people who actually DRIVE them as opposed to your constant bar moving tactics here, none of which involves any wheel time in the cars you mention.
-
I think they are doing like Tesla and starting with higher trim models first but they have routinely stated that there would be sub-$100K models.
