  1. And again, the Maybach is vaporware while the Hummer is actually real at this point and will be far more off-road capable than that gussied up Benz. Again, apples to off road oranges. And regarding the Maybach concept EV, Lincoln called. They want their 2015 MKX back. While I am sure the interior will be pure luxury (better be for its price), that exterior is derivative s*** and not even the biggest Benz fanboy will convince me otherwise.
  2. Worse, all the EQE proves on the outside, is that Benz is perfectly capable of designing a slightly uglier Toyota Corolla. The front fender panels are an utter disaster as well but hey, the "best or nothing" lol! First off. You are wrong. Publications sure have no problem comparing the EQS to the Model S. https://www.motortrend.com/news/2022-mercedes-benz-eqs-vs-tesla-model-s-specs/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamesmorris/2021/04/16/can-mercedess-eqs-really-challenge-teslas-model-s/?sh=395aaafd78db Care to explain why even Mercedes Blog is comparing the two? https://mercedesblog.com/first-comparison-mercedes-eqs-vs-tesla-model-s/ And let me correct one sentence for you. You said, "5 new EV’s in one day, plus a promise of EQE and EQS SUVs for next year." They did not release five new EVs in day. They merely announced, or promised, five new EVs. Stop the pointless hyperbole and hype already.
  3. Now what we really have to ask ourselves is "What does yet another endless back forth worth of BS with the Mercedes fanboy have anything to do with the ACTUAL subject of the thread?".
  4. When you opt for the lowest volume selling Maybach model, then sure, big price difference. But again, that is not even close to their average volume for that model. Meanwhile, I check the local Benz dealership near me versus the nearby GMC. I see similarly priced models on both lots. That is the point you are sorely missing here. Even on the full size GLS, the bulk of models available are closer to the base price than anything else, same as everyone else and most what was available was the same relative price as the Denali model Yukon’s. Meanwhile, the Yukon sells far more than the Benz so there’s that bar for you to move later as well. Mercedes is not unique and they are not the best for it. It’s that simple. https://www.mbusa.com/en/inventory/Mercedes-Benz-of-Greensboro/59104?sortClass=price-high-to-low&class=GLS:SUV
  5. Just stop. This is yet another broken record post of yours where you completely ignore what was said (by literally everyone else), move the bar, and create another set of rules that reflects your fanboy love. Example? Yes it’s easy for that FWD CLA to cross $50K ONLINE. However, the fact remains that it STARTS $12K under that and I have shown where there are quite a few sub-$50K cars of several Benz models (not showing some pointless custom online order to juice the price like you just did). The Benz dealership near me only has two CLAs on the lot and they are BOTH $48K and reasonably equipped which is what most folks in that price range look for. Stop acting like Benz did not stoop down to the lower market because they’ve been doing for years unless you want to forget that, not long ago, the CLA was advertised as “starting under $30K” before the A Class replaced it as the cheaper model. Again, you refer to sales breakdown posted the other day before you bring up anything else to the contrary. Wouldn’t want your arms to get tired from more bar moving.
  6. Fair enough, if you want to do that but I'm going to stick with my 40% mark.
  7. 5 out of the 11 at this Benz dealership in Durham NC (near me) are all on the lot and priced under $50K https://www.mercedesbenzofdurham.com/inventory/new/mercedes-benz-north-carolina.htm?campaignid=10679770509&adgroupid=105717417256&creative=452271233504&matchtype=e&network=g&device=c&keyword=mercedes dealer near me&gclid=CjwKCAjwj8eJBhA5EiwAg3z0m3F_VH42OuOzi_zMWMBnbhUllXrJS6gvWyH8y5g4ky1si9zYi35bAxoC--4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&model=GLC Just saying that the number is probably closer to 40% than 20%.
  8. You skipped their van sales, which were a combined 50K units for 2020 and most of those sell under $50K. Also, when 67% of their "sales" are actually leases, I'm not entirely sure the ATP argument even holds water here. Just my opinion. BTW, the GLC starts at $44K.
  9. Then consider yourself lucky as I have seen this behavior in every state that carries I-40 lol. In this, we are in total agreement. Who would have thought the movie "Idiocracy" was actually prophecy and a documentary rolled into one?
  10. Funny how you only use part of the facts. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fxstreet.com/amp/news/lcid-stock-news-lucid-group-inc-drops-lower-as-pipe-lockup-period-approaches-202108311122 At least, unlike Tesla investors, they were given the option to cash in. Tesla doesn’t give any option for dividends which makes their stock price look good but also way overvalued. This has been discussed before. None of this means the end of companies Ike Lucid though.
  11. It was pretty good, for the record. My dad was the frugal king. I am merely his humble frugal servant.
  12. Hey! Who you calling' cheap? Oh wait. That was me. I'm cheap. Carry on.
  13. This is beyond bad news at the wrong time of the year (like there's a good time to lose your job).
  14. What is with Dodge drivers lately? Not a day goes by, when I'm on the interstate, that a Charger or Challenger driver isn't acting like they are in Cannonball Run. I am over all of them and sadly it's not just the V8 drivers out there. Even the 3.6L fools do that and I don't understand it. Just offering a master class in "How to drive like a complete Jackass: Sponsored by your friends at Mopar".
  15. My workshop is just a straight four channel set up with music in mind, even though the receiver is a Home Theater model. It has a bi-amp mode that allows a straight four channel mode for music, which was my goal to begin with. Regarding my living room set up, you are correct on the speaker brand symmetry importance. I will say that the Infinitys I have to do match up pretty well and have a surprising amount of power for a slimmer profile tower. I'm more than happy with them, for sure. I would never own anything by Land Rover but those are very sharp looking and off road proven, for sure. Just would not want the maintenance and parts hassle.
  16. When my living room is less "disasterly" looking (been rearranging some things), I'll show you my setup. There is a 7.2 Ch Onkyo receiver in mine, Klipsch center and front surround channels and a pair of Infinity Reference (another $15 Goodwill find btw) slim profile floor speakers. Have not added a pair of back surround speakers yet but they will probably be Klipsch as well, just to keep it semi-consistent lol. A really nice turntable is in its future.
  17. Does it really make that big of a difference? Both of my receivers are pre-amped for a turntable already so I am wondering if it is truly worth adding to an existing system. Looks like some good Schiit (yes, I was itching to say that).
  18. Those are really good turntables for the price. If I go with a belt driven model, it'll be something along that nature, as far design goes. Love the modern look to it. All of my "throwback" media is in my workshop (CDs, Albums, and Minidisc, yes minidisc). My current setup in my workshop. The four components here (below) cost me a grand total of $45, courtesy of of Goodwill in Peoria, AZ and the pawnshop where I work part time. I am a cheap deal fiend lol. Add in the two pairs of USA made Sony floor speakers, and I spent less than $100 for everything.
  19. I can support that. Looking for a nice one for my living room but I think I may go direct drive instead of belt driven. Still mulling that one over. I hate to say it, but I actually like it. It does a really nice job of paying homage to the classic ZX rides like the 240 and 260 with even a little bit of the 2nd gen 300 in there. More "back to it's roots".
  20. Yet none of those “issues” have been issues since they have ZERO problem moving any of them. I think GM has it pretty well covered. And what everyone else here is trying to tell you is that the D3 have been selling luxury pick ups for years now. It’s your favorite company that didn’t seem to have a case for it even though they are allegedly a luxury car company. See the problem yet? I am wondering if anyone can get new products out on time, at this point. This shortage has affected literally everyone.
  21. Care to cite ANY of this? Top level trim pick ups are luxury and they cant keep them on the lots, like the F-150 Platinum. Point here is that the domestics were already producing luxury pick ups and will continue to do so, and quite well at that.
  22. Not a single panel was shared between the two. Same for the interior (the 2nd gen anyway). Yeah, they made some money on but it wasn’t that cheap to swap it over. There was a different engine too.
  23. Shhhh! You know can't post facts around here when it comes to Daimler fans. You'll just make their arms tired from all the bar moving.
  24. This is why a reasonable discussion cannot be had with you. You jump all over the map with senseless comparisons and move the bar whenever it pleases you. And we have talked about these lies you like to spill about transaction prices. Just stop it already. No one cares and this never goes anywhere because you refuse to acknowledge facts. Well since they don't sell for that price new, then that makes this one of those stupid comparisons of yours. The Slade and Navigator don't even compete with the overpriced and way too small G-Wagen. I do know that they routinely outsell their actual German competition though so...
  25. With those two partners alone, they are starting on better footing than Tesla (in the early days). At least they didn’t piggy back off of a useless two door (from another company) for six years before they put out their first actual car which was also not a CUV or SUV or Pickup.
