  4. but are they "getting rid" of the truly skilled ones that might bite them in the ass later? ford, back in the $5/day, would be paying "Every worker" (on the line?) $110K+ /year now a days and made the product achievable to "everyone". oh, wait, even; "By the 1920s, the price had fallen to $290", that's worth ~$26+k now a days. hm. weird. our cheap cars today are , what....~11K. technology is great! clarification: that yearly wage would be for a 52 week work year. Simple answer- No. Many of our local plants (including D-Ham) have had people waiting in the wings these last five years or so...and will be happy to fill those spots-even if the pay is lower...

  9. This. I was a good younger driver who made a few dumb mistakes while driving ( I took my parents nearly new at the time 93 Cavalier wagon over one of those concrete parking barriers....messed up a few things there...then- a few days later-mowed down ALL of our trash cans backing out of the driveway with my parents full size van....thought I was pretty dumb.......my dad told me I had to learn somehow, even if it took a car or too( though he was joking). Made me feel better. Tell him not to fret....things happen. Plus, when he looks back, he'll have some good stories to tell....

  12. Really, guys? Maybe you should read it first before you comment...... I'm so sick and tired of this "death to the UAW" bull$h!........... Heck, I'll make it simple for you.....GM is "retiring" those high paying jobs....among a few other things.....

  18. Roger...I'm real sorry man....it sucks so much.... This hits me hard personally because we have Lhasa Apsos as well, Catera (yes, the darn car) and Tessa....it's almost like having extra kids! But very worth it! My mom has shown these dogs for over 30 years, so I guess I can say I know quite a bit about them. I'm going to run into the same problem myself sooner or later, since Catera is 12 already (but thank goodness in good shape so far. Hopefully after some time healing, you'll be able to open your heart to another......
