  1. I could understand...
  2. It never happens...
  3. Well, as long as the 2.4 is in good shape you should be pretty good. If it has over 100k, check out the water pump. It tends to be the most common issue on those..... The nice thing about the J body is that the parts come pretty cheap...
  4. She's not a fan of the 3....
  5. Eh, it wasn't that bad...better than the last gen. Though it still beats the Caliber hands down, though...
  6. Yeah, the one killer thing that she doesn't like is the way the windows sit lower on the HHR, she feels she can't see out the back very well.... I liked the HHR though.
  7. Hopefully it's just a flake thing...even my computer has been strange lately....

  9. That's it, I'm done...... :AH-HA_wink: Yep, Actually found a Toyota that I liked....and the wife wants one pretty bad. I hear a replacement for the Cavvie Sedan (or the Cobalt, if it doesn't stop pissing me off..) I went the the local dealership, and test drove a 2009....... Vibe You can stop worrying now.... Anyways, this little car surprised me. I wasn't expecting much, as the last gen was so-so. The local dealership got their first 1.8 auto one in....a nice gray....My random comments: - Holy cow-this thing has a buttload of cuploaders! Add a keg, and you could have a party in there! The usual ones up front, ones that pop out in back, and a few in each car...... -My major issue with the last gen of Vibe was the lack of pep/ trans that you could push the car before the damn thing would shift. The 1.8 actually has some pep-almost as much as my Ecotecs....and the shifting is MUCH better....it is actually fun and easier to move this thing in and out of traffic..... - Better handling....kinda sporty. It's almost Neon-ish, as it handles corners pretty good. It's a good thing the dealership didn't see me take this Vibe around a corner at 30mph....no stopping needed. -a few extra cubbies the last Vibe didn't have...extra spot in the glovebox, for example.... The new Vibe reminds me a lot of the Mazda 3...which is was the look I think GM was going for. Overall, I was surprised, even a little impressed. After driving the 1.8, now I want to drive the 2.4 to see how peppy in is-not to mention a 5 speed auto should be nice..... Yeah, Yeah, I know. It's part Toyota. But, the profit goes in GM's pocket, which I have no problem doing..... *grabs flame suit just in case*
  10. Time for a new Computer, maybe?
  11. Ah, a true "beater" I see. Sounds like the last person drove the S*** out of it.... Hopefully they took care of that 2.4......those engines are a real PITA when abused (just ask BV about his 'Fire) Any pics?
  12. And I can't wait until OPEC switches from the dollar to the euro (which should be in June)
  13. Smoke
  14. That just sucks... I would have used the bus to finish the rest of the car...(with no one in it, of course)

What a dumb set of salesguys...
  17. Yep, I've seen quite a few TB SS's around here...that could have been interesting... Since I'm the second owner of the Balt, I wasn't able to give it the oil it wanted... Wife's car has Mobil 1 since 2nd oil change-Eco still runs like new... Both the Balt and the coupe get Mobil on this change...then they will all be on it.
  18. I still have to see the Vibe in person (I saw it at the auto show-but you couldn't get anywhere near it) I've always had a soft side for the Vibe, and almost everyone I know who has one has been problem free (One I know already has 156k on it with little more than the basic stuff..) My biggest gripe with it was that the engine had no guts along with a trans that you could push faster... Time to hit the dealership....
  19. Tree.
  20. Hmmm..makes me want to take a peek ay my trans just to see what is going on..... I forgot that Royal Purple makes trans fluid, because it took me a few seconds to figure you weren't taking about motor oil... As soon as spring rolls around, I'll be able to pull the Balt off the road for a while....I just warmed up the Cav coupe last night before the storm, and she is taking this winter pretty well considering she has sat a good part of this winter (sucks that it sleeps outside though ) I'm still debating what to do with the rims (new steelies, used steelies, aftermarket) If it warms up here in by in the next few weeks I'm going to do a Wix combo (fuel/oil/air filter) and switch over to Mobil 1. Later this year (when I put some miles on it) I'll do a rad/ trans flush...I'll have to see what I will use....
  21. Wow, that was interesting.... Well, moving on....
  22. weekend
