  1. That was very cool of you guys....
  2. Well, at least I got an extra half hour of sleep....
  3. I just saw a G8 today...I must say, it looks good in person....
  4. Me? And I missed it? Well, I was not able to get back on C&G after that....
  5. Maybe I should pick up a few cars now... And upping the MPG is going to save us now.....4-5 bucks a gallon of gas should throw us into a nice recession.....
  6. It's ok DF- the comment wasn't toward you-it was in general. (unless you have an old man's alter ego.. ) We all have our moments... And there are many of us "old men" on C&C..... It's cool that we have ages that are all over the place...though sometimes it can drive you nuts... :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Ah, I wouldn't wory too much about it, BV. You know how old guys and rants are.... :AH-HA_wink: I just have to remember to take everything here with a grain of salt, beacuse not everyone understands everyone, and sometimes it's hard to really know what everyone is thinking...... I think somtimes people here forget that we come here for a REASON. Oh, and don't forget to fix the Olds.... :AH-HA_wink:
  8. Just fix it! Investing a few bucks now will keep the car in good shape...long enough for you to save some extra money for your next car, and be able to afford gas....
  9. Coming from another J-body owner-don't waste your time trying to put another Delco unit in there.... Some need codes, others never work right after they come out of the car.... It's easier (and cheaper) to just get an aftermarket one..... I think they still make a few that are almost an exact fit....try a Crutchfield (sp?) catalog... Back in the day I was able to put a Pontiac Delco unit in my 87 Cavalier, but I'm guessing it was beacuse the cars were so old.... But the units in the 94+ Cavs units are just a PITA.... As far as your bumper-I can only wish you good luck. Your shade of blue tends to be quite rare in the 97s...most ended up teal or Green....... Your best bet is to just find the best one and get it painted.... Though you find get lucky finding one....try jbody.org-people tend to sell all kinds of different stuff on there...
  10. Well, at least he asked...
  11. Friends help too.
  12. I've driven the sedan...it's not bad...handles nice...and the price is good. Looks good. I'd consider one...
  13. Explain!
  14. Sounds good. THis thing needs good gas milage....
  15. Doubtful. This is the car peoplr might actually but instead leasing...Nav will pretty much go the way of the 8 track in the next few years... It's cheaper( and smarter) to use a portable NAV or just use their cell phone...
  16. Cieras I've seen usually do pretty well, at least running anyways.....
  17. I wonder if you get a choice of Coke or Pepsi?
  18. It sounds like lots of fun....
  19. So say renting would be a good idea? Maybe something that includes heat? (and water)
  20. Yeah, more of the Michigan market here. Lots of houses pretty cheap here. Problem is there are no jobs around here...which makes it hard to buy a house. I've been trying for a better job so that I could afford a nice house, and go back to school....... Hopefully soon that will change....
  21. going on-what would you do? A sliding housing market, heating bills pricer by the month, a recession looming (wait-I think it's already here)... On the other hand-good prices.... I really want to get a house-BUT-I'm not getting a good feeling about it...(could be my local market)... Would it be smarter to wait- or consider diving right in?
  22. Not only that-those van run forever-I can't tell you the number of vans I've seen with well over 200k on them....
