Wow, it's been a while since I've seen a thread this big of a joke..... I think I've seen the same agrument for a few pages now.... Anyways, speaking of jokes, that pretty much sums up the Chrysler Corp right now. They simply don't have the money to fix all of their mistakes in the last few years....Even Ford, struggling with its issues, doesn't have this kind of problem (or just not quite as bad) You know there is a problem when you have to fire sale your cars in the Motor City.... You should see the rebates for some of these things around here... They still make the Compass? I think I've seen two in the last few months.... They've given up on the Durango ads around here...there is a truckload at the local Dodge dealership...they've sold ONE in the last month... THe only reason the Dakota sells around here is because you can lease one for around 100 bucks a month with very little money down... Need I go on? The only way they are going to be able to salvage other models is to start axing some...NOW. The Compass and Aspen could go tomorrow-and no one would notice. The Dakota could go till early next year...better at this point to close the plant then keep giving them away.... If there is any hope in new decent products, changes need to happen like...tomorrow.

While they are not the most exciting car, they are quite good cars... I know quite a few people with this car, and everyone is pretty happy with them.... My Aunt has a 2007 sedan with nearly 27k miles on it...and she is not easy on cars, either. Trouble free miles, takes a beating (though most of the miles are highway)asks for more, and has no problem getting over 30 mpgs..... My brother has a 2006 coupe with 30k on it...and he is not easy on cars..period. You should see what happened to his first car....Anyways, he does a good amount of freeway driving too, and it gets anywhere between 28-35 Mpgs depending of how he drives....It has been a sound and trouble free runner even if it looks a little beat up.... My buddy has a 2006 sedan with 21k, and the only problem he has had with the car has been two flat tires...he had a Cavalier before (02), and he loves the pick up the Balt has..... I myself like the Balt', and would have np problem owning one. I like the looks of the coupe, and it handles quite nice. I could whine about the inside, (not really, I own a Cavalier myself ) the car itself is nice for the money...

I'm just surprised just how well Ford is doing....remember when leasing was the only option when playing it safe? Toyota will fall from the top-it is a matter of time-they are not doing too much at a time, but it seems like they are doing it blindly..... Honda will stay about the same, as GM and Ford keeping going up... The ones to watch right now are going to be the Korean automakers....

TPS Throttle positioning sensor. My wagon did the same thing a while back, and seems to be common on those early 90s compacts.....

Maybe they took it out to lunch and decided to fix up up for you?......

True. But I think while GM will post more profit, I still think they will drop a bit more market share (due to the drop in trucks sales), but should slowly gain tha back in car sales themselves.

If you guys think that is bad...you should come visit Michigan sometime..... This happens every day.... Between this and our well cared for roads ( ), it's surprising that cars last for more than five years here....

Stuff like this should never happen... I hate to say this, but if you kill a cop, they should be able to kill you. Enough said. We've already had quite a few cops killed in and around the Motor City.... I'm getting quite sick of this....
