  1. Yeah, you might not wanna know anyways... Good news is even with GM's tough stance on the plant-they really would like to keep those cars there....that's why it's not being rubbed in your guys faces... I'm just surprised that is that quiet...
  2. It's not a matter of if they will do it-just a matter of when.... From what I have heard already-it looks like the UAW is going to bow down on this one... GM is already testing Cobalts on the line next to the HHRs....it could happen quite easily...
  3. Well, when GM gets the cuts they want, L-town will get the NG Cobalt, NG Astra, and even another possible small car (this depends on whether another compact gets assigned to either Pontiac or Buick) If not, then Mexico will be the new car's home. Sadly, Lordstown is the first take it or break it plant. GM is dead serious on this one... After L-town, D-ham is the next plant up...
  4. Yes and no. I agree with the first few parts... While I think the truck is ok (not that impressive), as it is a matter of opinion...... But I don't see the "stinker" doing that great....they aren't happy overseas if good money is not being made...
  5. Ouch-you can get a F-150 for 199/month, but then again there are a truckload of f-150s out there...
  6. I don't think I could have said it better myself.... Then again-gas prices are going to drive the casual driver right out of the market.... Which will pound the big three hard, while toyota could let the tundra fall flat on its face (while putting money into their cars) and just let it go... heck, they could just drop the tundra all together and come out with a new truck... While the Tundra isn't really that great of a truck (I've actually driven it), the market still could favor Toyota as the market shifts from gas prices..... If the truck market takes a majot hit-Toyota will not feel the hit anywhere as hard as the big 3.... While I see the point of Toyoguy and BCGB- Toyota has yet to make a majot impact-which may or may not work in their favor..... Then again-I can't see gas prices going much higher without causing a major recession, but that's another story for another thread.....
  7. I'm guessing you don't read that paper, then? I know it's an old story, but it has but been out there a while...
  8. Coupes...at least anything bigger than a compact... Trucklets will disappear very soon unless they go back to their roots-cheap, and great on gas. I have a feeling the Chinese could make a killing here.... Large SUVs in general...gas prices will drive most away.....
  9. hands down Volt
  10. It's even worse when you're a Michigan fan... Hopefully it really pissed them off..which in case I feel bad for the next few weeks.. If not, this could get ugly...
  11. Hmm...Are you sure he wasn't on his way to Michigan? I just had a RAV4 driver coming southbound as I was heading north....he just about couldn'r stay in his own lane! At least his music was good (to him)-I could hear the people in the car singing with the"Thong Song".. But I also agree-Autolamps are a must. Though I like the overide option too...
  12. Strange, I usually hear good things about them...
  13. Well, at least the wrecks are worth watching...
  14. Ditto.
  15. I would take about anything.... So it's tough for me. I'm just happy my cars are almost paid off... I have other non-car stuff to buy afterward, so that should help....I hope.
  16. cool!
  17. Wow, are you guys in for a surprise..... Toyota is going after EVERY team right now trying to get them to change over.... TMC is been visiting quite a few garages down south lately......even around here....I helps to know some Roush people... :AH-HA_wink: Their biggest push is on the smaller teams.... Though they are chasing DEI now.... I get the feeling this won't be the only team....
  18. Work....all day.
  19. Nice...I really like that color... Should be even more fun to drive...
  20. I wouldn't worry too much about not building enough at KC, as GM plans to build some Bu's at it's Lansing plant.... If needed, they could cut G6 production...
  21. I've been thinking about playing lately...
  22. I agree a tiny bit with this... It's going to cause some sticker stock to those who are used to picking up their Bu' from 14-17 grand.... It would be smart to offer rebates and some good lease rates to just get these people into the new Bu'.... It should offer some really good word of mouth out there.....then, slowly up on the deals....by then-it should do fine... I'm looking forward to driving the new Bu'...esp. with the 4/6-sp combo...
  23. I wish I could say he was. I can go to the local dealership and count the number of cars and trucks waiting for a new trans...somtimes more than you can count on your hands....
