In some ways, I agree with Balthazar. I often to associate the Impreza with t3h g4m3rZ becuase whenever I play Gran Turismo with someone else, the odds are that they will always pick an Impreza or one of it's variants. Of course, after I blast them with a say, Camaro, it's also good odds that they will complain about how the Camaro has over twice the displacement, and twice the cylinders, yadda, yadda, yadda. Oh, and what Toyota did to this thing is an insult to a rally icon.

I think it's safe to assume every red-blooded North American guy has at least a 'So-So' rating. Guys like technology, machinery, and statistics, among other things; it's just how we are built. I know people who are huge into sports, but go nuts over technology. I knew one dude in residence who would have totally fit the 'jock' image, and yet he could write computer programs like it was nothing, AND he could talk for hours about Star Wars. In fact, most guys like Star Wars. What's not to like? It's got huge spaceships, laser-guns, killer lightsabers, scary aliens, and a totally evil dude in a black helmet. Guys don't have much of a problem rolling off statistics, or showing off their new TV or computer or cell-phone or new car. It seems like the people that classify men to be 'geeks' or 'nerds' are... women.

This is all well and good... but I want to see an FWD platform that will create nearly as much excitement (both in press, and performance) as the RWD platforms. Scary I say this, because I'm an RWD mafia member...

Keep in mind that Japan is already paying for it's near fanatic barriers against all things foreign. The country is literally dying and it's economy is getting worse. Their idiotic (non)immigration policy is causing their population to become, weak, old, frail and grey. It's almost every week that I read in the business section of my paper of something that China and Korea is topping Japan at, or there's usually a story about how crappy Japan is doing. Besides... people in their, like, 40's read comic books and go to cafe's with barely legal girls dressed like video game characters. If that isn't a sign of a civilization in the sh*tter, I don't know what is.

Thank you Cananopie, for bringing back a little sanity. I happen to think the base model looks great, especially for a base model. Like Ur_pimp said, these pictures are grainy, and done on the fly, not to mention in somewhat shiesty weather, so I have a good feeling that it'll look way better in person.
