This whole Obama, 'is he black, how black is he' discussion in America is also pretty sad. But I kind of hope that this thread won't go there. What Imus said was pretty syupid... but I totally love this double standard. I mean, it's only because he is 'white' that he is getting torn to shreds. Gumbel's comment got no real coverage. Saying that Winter Olympians are not athletes is an insult to anyone who has or will compete in the Winter Olympics.

This happens to be one of the reasons why I hope Magna is successful in obtaining Chrysler, or a good portion of it. As much as I hate the CAW... I happen to dislike Kirk Kerkorian even more. Magna is very good with the CAW, and I think that the lack of animosity between Frank Stronach and the union will allow for some bargaining that will be good for Chrysler's future.

I think the name 'Liberty' may be too, 'American' for people in Europe.

Pairing a V8 to a hybrid system sound f*cktarded until you realize GM will have V8 hybrid systems. However, to be fair, GM's system will only be in SUV's, where a V8 is often required for towing. Still, I think this car is totally stupid. Buyers in this price range want prestige and luxury, and therefore, want a BMW or Mercedes.
