  1. I'd say 'LATFH' mentioned on that website is running a close second.
  2. Best. Site. Ever.
  3. Sorry, but I’m not buying this story. If it was an American brand, then of course we could blame the manufacturer for marketing underdeveloped, chintzy, fuel-sucking garbage. But, as we are discussing Toyota, I can only presume that this is a case of fine Japanese machinery defiled by hamburger-eating, reality-show-watching clumsy Americans. — Paul This guy won the comment thread!
  4. But to plenty of people our age, those vehicles are what we want, and what we need. Tire shredding's out in most cases, because in the city there isn't too much space to stretch the car's legs, and because the cars are easy to maintain, perform admirably and get you from point A to point B, which is the main point of driving the automobile. The fact that they don't need much work done on them is progress, and the less time we spend on them, the better. The majority of people my age don't want muscle cars is because they tend to consume large amounts of fuel, are generally worse than normal for the environment and are too costly to justify running in gridlock. The era of drag racing and displacement is over, because most of us don't care. Something that is comfy, easy on gas, and has a great interior space where we spend our time with plenty of tech toys is the name of the game today.
  5. You're right. I'll take my Zune with my tunes out of my truck (RWD, and less zippy than a Toyota Yaris by the way) and be sure to haul that fridge I installed yesterday in a tenant's suite onto the bus as well as my roof-repair tar can.
  6. Because GM is poor, and dumb. Their being poor is due to their being dumb.
  7. But is the Chinese government any better?
  8. This is generally the case. Most people my age like performance, but are perfectly happy with a Civic or Mazda3 because it has good economy, and has plenty of tech toys. Most of us are in gridlock and on city streets where neither rear wheel drive or power is of huge importance. It's just different priorities.
  9. Nothing like bringing up the ominous Red Scare talk! Next up, they'll be saying that this is all a plot on the part of socialist Canadians and commie Russians to make the world drive Agila's and Corsa's! I don't recall GM giving such a bad spin about their joint ventures with the Chinese company SAIC which would be heavily linked with the Chinese government.
  10. I think C&G Chat was an IRC client that used Java, and we all know how well that worked. I use mIRC myself for gaming servers, but Chatzilla for FireFox users is nice and simple, so perhaps that'd be one for people who want to chat, but don't want too much hassle.
  11. Until I read this thread, I had no idea what D&G glasses were.
  12. What they wrote is sickening like the 1989 Camry losing most of it's horses over 20 years or how Honda's are poster children for 'tuner's' . This guy is probably a Dixie flag waving, beer swilling redneck!
  13. Dokken - Burning Like A Flame
  14. More than a Million Times - Autograph
  15. Using an IRC network would be cool, but does FreeNode have a Java applet for newbie users so they can get in easy? Or will people need to get use a client like mIRC or Mibbit?
  16. Below the big text box, you'll see a small box that says 'Post Options' with HTML off as a default. Simply click the menu and select a linebreak mode in it. I haven't found a difference between Auto and Raw linebreak - do that and you should see your video appear embedded. It may be limited to premium members, but I could be wrong.
  17. Loud and Clear - Autograph
  18. That first picture should somehow make it onto Wikipedia for the LS article or something. Almost looks liek something you'd find in a brochure or auto rag. Great pictures, and the car looks fantastic!
  19. I'd bet the TDI with the DSG is a blast to drive around town with.
  20. It's less about the petition, and more about showing people that the CRTC is restricting people's choices of entertainment, in the name of preserving 'Canadian culture.'
  21. The CRTC is becoming dangerous, so thanks for posting this. I've signed, and I'm sending it to a couple others as well.
  22. Great job and congratulations! But does this cut into your TF2 time?
  23. Depends how much more cash is on the G8's hood when the SHO hits the lots. I have a feeling the SHO will have less success than the G8 GT. GM realized that the majority of people don't have much of an appetite for large sedans with big engines, and Ford will likely learn the same.
  24. I think it was Car and Driver that said they got 16mpg with the SHO. I'm pretty sure a G8 GT/GXP would get a similar rating, possibly better. Plus, how many SHO's is Ford going to sell?
  25. :rotflmao: Not entirely; Canada can't afford machines that go 'ping!' Thanks dudes! I'm aiming for a nice day on the links if the weather picks up, and not have it get too exciting. Nice to even see Mr. Penske drop by.
