Detroit 3 Trucks Rematch - Car and Driver
Congrats to Dodge. It's nice to see them win a comparison. Just goes to show what they can do when they put their minds to it.

60 Years of VW commercial here in Germany ...
This is indeed one of the best automotive commercials...and unlike the Toyota commercials posted below, it's also very true.

I've seen plenty of broken down Toyotas...I guess they are all traps.

OREGON
I would be all for a ban on those mufflers. This is just stupid.

The Next Step.
Anyway, BV you might consider a few things. 4-5k would be able to fix whatever is wrong with the Mazda and then some. You do still like the car right? Alternatively, you could save $500 on a replacement car so you could fix the Gutlass and have a backup/beater in addition to a nice car.

Stop light in the middle of nowhere
Oh please, you're one of the last people who should be calling someone else out on typos. If I made a thread containing all of yours it would rival Word Association in pages.

Stop light in the middle of nowhere
Almost always stop. I can spare a whopping minute and a half. I hate it when people run through lights and stop signs so they can get to the next damn one. I've intentionally run a light twice. Same one. It's a left turning arrow to get to a gas station that was built not that long ago in Salem NH. It's supposed to be sensored, but was faulty and wouldn't actually work. This was also at like 3am when there was no traffic around.

What a gorgeous EXCEPTION....
I think the circular doors are very cool. The car itself has that timeless look to it. It would be able to get away with being a modern retro car and not look old...if you know what I mean.

GM bringing Bumblebee 2 and Autobots to Chicago Auto Show
Looking at the Camaro closer, they should have given it the RS headlights. The ones on it look crappy. Also the dog lights are tiny and look like an afterthought. Still, I like the overall shape...and the red bowtie.

Is it safe to say winter is over?
I doubt it, we're going to get a warm up too (finally) to the low 50's for a few days and maybe melt some of the snow that's been on there ground since before Christmas (we have about 2 feet on the ground right now). However this is probably just a thaw. Winter isn't over yet.

GM bringing Bumblebee 2 and Autobots to Chicago Auto Show
I like the changes to the Camaro and it would sweet if teh Z/28 looked like this (if they produce such a car) or at least offer it as an appearance package. The Volt looks so much better in blue and in a real world photo than silver.

GM bringing Bumblebee 2 and Autobots to Chicago Auto Show
We usually know what vehicles an automaker will debut at a major auto show the weekend before, but General Motors has kept us in the dark about its plans for the Chicago Auto Show next week. As such, we're not expecting any major product reveals, but today we learned that GM will be introducing us to the new Bumblebee from the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. He's the same Bumblebee from the first film, but the Camaro into which he transforms has been spiffed up for the sequel with a new front bumper, chin spoiler, hood scoop and different wheels. Whereas the first Bumblebee was based on the Camaro Concept, it appears that the new one is based on the actual production car. Joining the orange Camaro in Chicago will be other characters from the film in their car forms. New additions to the sequel brandishing a GM badge include a 2010 Chevy Volt called Jolt, a Chevy Spark called Skids and a Trax concept called Mudflat (together known as the Twins), and a character called Sideswipe based on the still-yet-to-be-revealed Corvette Centennial Concept. GM didn't specify in its press release (included after the jump) which characters are accompanying Bumblebee to Chicago, but the venue at McCormick Place is one of the largest exposition centers in the world, so the more Transformers the merrier. I Sought Out The Curse
Only problem with common sense if the accidents that you can't help...like a Ryder moving truck rear ending you or a BMW running a red light and hitting you at like 40. I'm not so sure a roll cage would kept the front bumper from getting into the cabin, based on that crash test...or the engine from getting friendly with your backside. Besides, isn't a roll cage meant more for roll-overs?
