  1. Different strokes, although I have a feeling that once you sit in it you'll like the new one better. It looks very high quality.
  2. I mean look at what they had: and look at what they have now:
  3. Whoever is responsible for Fords newest car designs deserves a big raise, IMHO.
  4. Yeah, from what I heard Ford is developing it's products globally now...so what Europe gets we get. The Fiesta is the first example of this.
  5. Seeing the Taurus makes me really exciting to see what the next Focus will look like.
  6. I'm going to just ignore the rest of the post and go for this one because it stands out. What the hell is the point of this? Since you're obviously replying to me. How is it nasty? Big deal, I've driven through snow in the GM too...woopie. Would you like a cookie? The POINT I am trying to make which you seem to be either ignoring or not getting is that this is an opinion, and that is just fine...you're more than welcomed to feel that way, but stop peddling it like it's a fact and that everyone else is wrong. It ruins the thread for the rest of us. Just don't post in a thread that's about a car that has always been FWD and expect it to be something else. Take the rant to another thread and out of this one. Back to the SHO. (I crack me up)
  7. I wanna know how I can get it a a widebody like the Volt Jolt.
  8. If his case fits the new stuff. Is it ATX? I didn't even notice if he said or not.
  9. Volt to be Updated Throughout it's Lifecycle Most cars need to wait until a MCE or redesign to receive significant updates. The Volt is a little different however. Since much of the car's attributes are controlled via software, updates can be made on the fly as soon as they become available...kind of like updating your computer's OS. 10. One intriguing prospect of GM's upcoming Voltec technology -- the drivetrain used on the 2010 Chevrolet Volt -- is the ability to drastically alter the vehicle's dynamics through a software update. Such improvements will be implemented on the fly and they won't need to wait until further versions of the vehicle are introduced. Future implementations of the Voltec powertrain will likely appear in higher-end vehicles, as foreshadowed by the Cadillac Converj concept from this year's Detroit Auto Show. When the time finally does come to introduce a second generation of the Chevy Volt, the biggest area of improvement may be made to the battery pack. In lieu of crafting a pack that allows for more electric-only range, GM's engineers will reportedly focus on reducing its size and cost. Since the battery is easily the most expensive single piece of the Voltec pie, this should help GM turn a profit on the second-gen. Volt. Source: Autoblog
  11. As Will Ferrell once said, "If you've got it, flaunt it." The boys at SRT are quite proud of the Viper ACR's 7:22.1 run of the Nürburgring, and they have brought the car out to Chicago to let everyone know who sits atop the podium. We would've assumed it was just your everyday Viper ACR except that the team that set the record has signed the carbon fiber rear wing including the driver, SRT engineer Tom Coronel. The record-setting run, which was done back in August, bested the likes of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (7:22.4), Maserati MC12 (7:24.3), Pagani Zonda F Clubsport (7:24.7) and Ferrari Enzo (7:25.3). We've included a new gallery of the car from the show and embedded the video of the lap after the jump in case you missed it the first time around. Source: Autoblog
  12. That's an important thing I forgot to ask. Do you already own a copy of Windows XP or Vista? Cuz that's $100 off the price right there. Also, is your CD drive any good? What about the HD? What size is it? Are both of these IDE or SATA?
  13. I think you just need to keep in mind that not all of hate FWD and when you speak about it as though we either have to love it or we're idiots for liking anything else, it tends to piss people off. It is an opinion, not a fact, for the 4th time. Oh, and don't go talking about choice and variety if you then exclude a choice. That's hypocrisy and I really hate that.
  14. Well it all depends on your priorities. If you're one of those people who trade cars every2 weeks to get the latest and the greatest, then yeah not so good. On the other hand, if you're one of those people who hang on to their cars for a long time it's great (if you buy it new). Of course it's a catch...it's a lifetime warranty. Can you imagine what it would cost the company if it was transferable?
  15. Not really, the Fit is a better design.
  16. You know, if you're going to post this as news you could at least try to keep post #1 professional.
  17. I hate how Starbucks doesn't just use "small" medium" and "large". It bugs the crap out of me.
  18. Well it has been done apparently: http://flickr.com/photos/access/2245448399/
  19. I have mixed feeling about it. From most angles it looks really cool...but for some reason I don't like the way it looks from the front 3/4 angle.
  20. And you forget that opinion is not fact. Some like FWD, or don't mind which wheels do the work if the car handles and drives good...like a Cobalt SS OMFG BELIEVE IT OR NOT!11111 Hypocrisy...it's a terrible thing.
  21. Not really, since it can beat RWD cars.
  22. No...it's a different definition of luxury. I don't mind that Acuras are FWD...they're just ugly. Audi is a respected luxury nameplate, and their products are FWD bias. You go on and on about "variety is the spice of life" yet bitch every time an expensive (or any) FWD car shows up. There are RWD, especially in this price range to choose from. Not everyone wants RWD, so they have a choice. That's the beauty of choice and variety.
