  1. Congrats dude. You should look into a set of the current SS's wheels....easily the best wheels the Cobalt lineup has ever had, IMO.
  2. $800 is what most of these 1st gens go for...who buys them I have no idea...but I still see plenty of them. The second gens were good cars, I think they get unfair bad rap because the first gens were so bad.
  3. It's ok as long as you site the source, and don't try to claim it as your own, unless they specifically ask you not to. Now if it was labeled "C&G exclusive article" with no source, then we would have a problem.
  4. Or better yet, use this fascia:
  5. Ok guys, let me break it down. From the B-pillar (or lack thereof) forward, the 200C is a design evolution of the Nassau. Everything aft of this point is not...which is pretty obvious because we're comparing sedan and shooting break body styles. To see how the 200C's front is an evolution, you need to look at a few things. Flip the fog light housings of the Nassau vertically and connect them together with a strip of chrome and you have the lower fascia. Flip the Nassau's headlights horizontally, and inset them into a more rounded lens shape, and you have the headlight design. Take the Nassau's grill and slim down the thick chrome strip at the top, and shrink the grill. Now, with this image in mind, look at the 200C's front end. See how it's an evolution now?
  6. Lutz Voices his Thoughts on the Future of GM's Brands Bob Lutz, never afraid to speak his mind, told the press his thoughts on the future of GM's brands. Most of what he stated we've already known about, however some added detail, and hearing it from Lutz himself, makes this an important read. Follow the jump to see the full article. http://www.cheersandgears.com/index.php?sh...mp;#entry464865
  7. Added the full article to your original post Wildcat, so we don't have to jump to the other site to view it. Plus this is going on the Front.
  8. Needs a ton of work but considering what it is, would be worth the effort.
  9. Well, the story goes like this: My mechanic had the car, he was planning to fix the problems I mentioned and give it to his niece unless I wanted to buy it (he would still fix the problems of course). However while I liked how it drove the small dimensions (already had 2 small cars), water leak, and first gen Neon reliability made me turn it down. So he fixed iy up and gave it to his niece. She's ok apparently, which is what matters. Apparently. the fire started in the dash. They aren't sure what caused it but might have been wiring from a recently installed aftermarket stereo that had something to do with it. It was weird though, the second I saw it I knew right away which Neon it was, even though I hadn't seen it for over 2 years.
  10. When I was car shopping I did look at a first gen Dodge Neon. It was going for $800, which was well below my budget. I liked how it drove and handled, however the ebrake stuck and of greater concern, water was getting into the cabin on the passenger side and pooling in the foot well. It had started to smell like mold. I passed over it. Friday I went to my mechanic to do some computer work for him, and what do I find? The very car I test drove...
  11. I think the other one obviously crossed a line (my apologies) and it was best to wipe it from exisstance and start over. So with that in mind, the rules are no crossing that line, and no car related stuff. There's already a thread for that. Let's try this again:
  12. I believe so, at least for now.
  13. Oh, if you went for Ram I'd go with Crew Cab....yes it has 4-doors but the Rambox is so worth 2 extra doors.
  14. If I voted other I would say Prius or Camry.
  15. Well good.
  16. I hope that lots of votes for the Challenger don't somehow sway you away from it....
  17. What's that have to do with Autoblot symbols? Anyway, Nick, who did those? You could get sued for selling them but maybe if someone just gave you the money to have it made for them?
  18. Post of the day!
  19. Wow before reading your post Olds I voted the same exact way. I voted Challenger because of the cars listed that has continually got your attention, and fits the bill very nicely of being a lower volume, 2-door, V8 powered vehicle. I put 2011 because I recall you saying you weren't going to buy anything new for at least a little while. As well, I believe the A5 is FWD based isn't it? I would think that would rule the car out for you despite it's great looks, plus its higher price tag. You mentioned BMW coupes, at least the new ones, aren't your thing. My runner-up would be the F-150 or the Ram, as they can meet all your requirements: 2 doors, open bed, V8, RWD (and they are BOF if such a thing matters to you as much as some others). However, you own a truck already, so I was leaning more towards a car.
  20. I'm glad I never tried, never plan to, and will never have to deal with the wasting of money on poison for my body.
  21. I can haz target?
