  1. Wow, edmunds sucks ass. Not only does it not show the specs for the V8 engines for either teh Olds or teh Ford, but I can't find a comparison chart for used vehicles. If there is one, it's poorly located and not at all easy to find. ANYWAY. I would serious check out with the Explorer. You may (or may not) consider a Grand Cherokee of that vintage. I'm sure moltar could give you plenty of info and thoughts of his experience with his. My boss has one (to complement her Z3) and lovea everything about her V8 powered one besides the fuel economy...Of course, she said this when gas was $4, and I'm pretty sure that statement would have applied to any V8 SUV.
  2. smk, you might actually get some respect and get people to take you seriously if you follow these simple steps: think before you type check you facts post some sources to back up your claim In that order of importance.
  3. Good one, although I actually like 3rd gen Camaros...it's the 4th gens I never really cared for.
  4. +1 I think they are the best of the GMT-360s in terms of interior and exterior quality as well as handling.
  5. Yes it's looking like a good choice to me as well. There is one other that looked appealing: Calumet 7100 Tripod with Three-way Quick Release Head At this point I think it's a choice between this and the Velbon.
  6. You've seen a car that isn't on sale yet on the road? Do tell. It's a car for people who want good fuel economy without having to pay a huge chunk of change to make up the difference. Hell, for the price of a Volt I could buy this and a Challenger SE.
  7. Thank you captain obvious. There is one I like that is a tripod and a mono pod, but it's out of my price range for now.
  8. Honda has a hit on their hands. Compact car pricing, 50ish mpg,and driving dynamics that don't suck, in a package that isn't hideous and with a normal interior.
  9. This car has actually grown on me since I first saw it. While the shape from the side is similar at a glance to the Prius, the greenhouse is different. Also Honda did a better job at making it not look terrible. I like the front end, it reminds me very much of the FCX Clarity. Pus the lower roofline and larger wheels help make it looks dumpy. Would I buy it over a Volt if I were in the market for such a car? Depends...this costs half what the Volt will cost...
  10. This one looks promising... Velbon DF-60 Dual Function Light Weight Tripod
  11. Hmm...I think Manfrotto are out of my price bracket. The ones they have in my range are iffy compared to others.
  12. I heard about them as well, although I haven't checked any out yet, I shall look into it, thanks!
  13. I was wondering if any of you guys could give me advice on a camera tripod. The one I have is old and well, a piece of crap. It's held together with J-B Weld, lacks the features I want, but worst of all, can't hold the camera steady. So here's my criteria: Durable, but fairly lightweight Must be able to tilt the camera 90 degrees and be able to pan up and down...at the very least. Detachable release plate. $50 is the limit...I can go a little over but I'd prefer not too...on a budget. Now, I'm gonna have to take a trip to the camera store and play with some to see how the features work...because I don't know exactly how a 90 vertical platform works...for example. However, I have an idea how it works. I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on brand or head type. Just browsing, I found these that looked like they might fit the bill: Giottos VT-808 3-Section Tripod with 3 Way Pan/Tilt Head & Quick Release Dolica STC-100 63-Inch Tripod with 68-Inch Ball Head Tripod Kit Dolica AX620B100 62-Inch Proline Tripod and Ball Head Dolica AX680P104 68-Inch Proline Tripod and Pan Head If any of you are familiar with these head types and tripods please let me know what you think would be best...or if there is a brand preference, or advice or whatever. I want to get one for next week if possible. Thanks!
  14. They may be ultra uncool but what about a minivan? A last gen Chrysler van with tow`n go...if you have to move lots of crap there's nothing better than a minivan (except a traditional van...but they drive like ass). Although, a Bravada would be fitting of your name.
  15. That's what AWD is for. You seem to forget that Audi's platforms are FWD bias, even the performance versions. However they have AWD to help with that...and yes people want them.
  16. add ricerkiller.com to that list...
  17. I think it's gonna be a bit before their service works properly, as the entire internet is going there...there's posts from saturnforms, GADSM.org, LS1truck.com...and that's on one page.
  18. That is double the ownage...for the moment the site works again though
  19. Note: this was just posted on Autoblog, so the site's host probably crapped the bed from the influx of visitors. Give it time...it is SO worth the wait.
  20. General Motors\' Opel division has been hard at work on a performance version of its hot new Insignia, the reigning European Car of the Year, and the first spy shot – probably snapped on someone\'s camera phone – has surfaced online. To be sold as the Vauxhall Insignia VXR in the UK and as the Opel Insignia OPC in Europe, the car is reported to have lapped the vaunted Nürburgring Nordschleife in a hair over eight minutes, which is a blistering fast time for a relatively large hatch. The hot Insignia evidently wears big 20-inch wheels with concave dark spokes and chrome accents, wrapped in 255/35 R20 rubber and capped by bulging wheel arches. All four contact patches are in use to put down the anticipate 320 horsepower from the twin-turbo V6, while big air vents borrowed from the sharp-lookin\' Opel GTC Concept help the drivetrain get the wind it needs. Hatchback, sedan and wagon variants are all expected to be part of the mix. We\'re hoping to see this bad boy in pre-production preview form this March at the Geneva Motor Show, with the full production version to follow in the Spring at the Frankfurt Auto Show. But more than that, we\'re quietly hoping to see it Stateside as the successor to the V8-powered Buick LaCrosse Super (known as the Allure in Canada due to a certain unsavory Quebecois slang conflict). We can hope, can\'t we? Source: Autoblog
  21. Well it was due to come up sooner or later...another retarded has blessed the internet with one of the dumbest posts in history, and so the hilarity must be shared thought the interwebs. Ricer was street racin' yo! Going 90mph. Cop pulled him over and gave him a break by fining him for driving too slow. Ricer boy doesn't get that he got off easy, posts on the internet what he did and what happened, and that he plans to fight it. Then a cop responds to him... I am laughing my ass off! :rotflmao: x1000 http://www.orlandoforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126522
