  1. I'm with you on this, HE. Every single time I see an abandoned building or car, I immediately wonder about its history ... the families or persons that have owned it ... what it has seen ... what caused it to be abandoned, etc..... Sadly, a lot more abandoned cars and buildings in the "outskirsts" and "backroads" of this area, anyway, are popping up....
  2. *nods* You're welcome. Let's hope that clamor will die down. If it doesn't, then, at least she has the perfect "excuse" to get rid of it, since cars seem to change a bit after being hit, no matter how minor. I'm sorry she doesn't like her Cobalt. My parents love their orange '06 sedan. I admit, it is a fun car to drive. I like it, but since it is FWD, would never own one myself....
  3. Hey...that's fine. I understand sentimental value PERFECTLY, so no worries. Just, when you find them and decide, let me know . Thanks!
  4. Biggest regret: Buying 2 cars that were NOT what the company claimed that they were. Other than that, I try NOT to have regrets...though, I have a few. *sighs* Cort:34swm."Mr Monte Carlo.Mr Road Trip".pig valve&pacemaker WRMNshowcase.legos.HO.models.MCs.RTs.CHD = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort "I think I'd like to watch it burn" ... 7. *nods* Thank you! He he ... most people can't believe it is daily driven, as good as it looks! My bias for Monte Carlos aside, of course, I love the checkerboard rims. To me ... they make the car look a bit sporty, but still have the "classiness" of the Monte Carlo. *shrugs* Or something like that ... . Makes owning multiple cars that much more enjoyable, no?
  8. See...these are the kinda quotes I like. On the surface, it sounds pretty interesting ... but ... the more you look at it and THINK about it, the more weird/off it becomes. Which is cool in a way, because that means you've thought and (perhaps) re-evaluated a few things in the process. *shrugs* Cort:34swm."Mr Monte Carlo.Mr Road Trip".pig valve&pacemaker WRMNshowcase.legos.HO.models.MCs.RTs.CHD = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort "A smile can hide all the pain" ... 22. Aaaahhhh....that fresh, newly-washed look is so intoxicating...isn't it? I finally washed my older 4 Monte Carlos this past Saturday [the '87 MC LS daily driver will get its second cleaning of the year this coming weekend, weather permitting, of course]...partly to have them ready for the July 26 gathering here, in case it IS sunny...but mostly to get the "winter dust" off them. Now, they all just look and "feel" so much better! Sure makes a difference when they are clean; driving them after a fresh wash is a bit invigorating, imho. Hmmm...does anyone else who has multiple cars notice that each car as its own "personality"? It just seems that each of my MCs have a distinct feel and "attitude"...not just because each are a different generation/body style, either. I find myself with a slightly different personality, too, depending on which MC I'm driving...he heh. And...it looks like I'll be heading to Arkansas the weekend of August 2 to pick up my new-to-me '79 MC...!!!
