Took a look at another '66 Toro with my buddy who's lusted after these since he was 12. Drove nice, was deceptively quick, interior very nice. However, squeaky suspension, front end was on a right-to-left tilt, brakes were weak. Headlight vacuum system missing, unique turn signal switch missing. Too many red flags, too much bondo (tho the paint was very nice) for $9500. Another pass.

BMW News: BMW Quietly Ended Production of 6-Series Coupe, Doesn't Tell Anyone
BMW needs to address the torpedo'ing sales of the core models, not fiddlefart around with 2 new models that together won't sell 400 units between them. This is BMW being 'posh & upscale' : http://indianautosblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/2015-BMW-6-Series-Gran-Coupe-facelift-interior-press-shots.jpg They don't know how to do anything better, and no one wants it. Abandon ship/segment time.

That's not Fapster. And you can tell because his shirt doesn't say 'poop'. He'll stop back in here in a month to confirm.

BMW News: BMW Quietly Ended Production of 6-Series Coupe, Doesn't Tell Anyone
Wait... so BMW, hoping no one will notice, kills the buyerless 6-series... but is said to be working on a HIGHER PRICED replacement??? How come "journalists" never question the business case insanity of such a move, instead of implying with "fuel to the fire" that's there's a clamoring mass of buyers for such a car?

Lexus News: Toyota Exec Admits Lexus' Sedans Need to Step Up
Who blessed with the gift of sight would willingly drive this ??? I don't find this remotely pleasant from a design standpoint, yet it's 1000 times better than the above repulsive monster : Huh. Looking at these 2 together, I'm struck by the similarity. Was Toyota inspired by the '61 Plymouth?? I need to plant this very seed around the internet!

Lexus News: Toyota Exec Admits Lexus' Sedans Need to Step Up
Forced to pick, I'd go '59 I think. '60 just makes me immediately think '59 Pontiac (a MILES better & more appealing car), and '58 has some major quirks for me. Ford, having aced the '30s and '40s for the most part, had lost it's styling mojo in the late '50s. Having seen a 2-headlight '57 Merc for sale today, that opinion is pretty well cemented.

No, The Model 3 Isn't An Upgrade To the Model S
Like Mercedes, Ford utilizes global platforms for their cars. You keep saying 'Fusion chassis' but the CD4 platform underpins numerous Ford & Lincoln cars, CUVs and SUVs. Long utilized by domestic makes and just recently, copied by the Germans as 'the wave of the future'. The A6 interior is an aesthetic hot mess- it has FOUR different shaped vents in the dash. A schizophrenic's comfort zone is every other man's visual disaster. Besides, half of the audi lineup uses VW engines (2.0T). Hard pass on audi.

Measuring Tesla's Success or Failure
According to Wiki, SolarCity was started by 2 brothers, who are also cousins to Musk. Musk help start the company & was the chairman. Tesla bought SC on 08.01.16 for $2.6B., so Tesla, Inc is the parent Co. & SC is wholly owned.

Tanx, DD, I do put concept cars on the tippy top shelf! There's something about a bubble roof and tail fins that gets me all giddy. The Cyclone wins the blue ribbon for Most Knee-Bashing Dogleg!

Measuring Tesla's Success or Failure
If Tesla can get a small catalog of models (let's stick with 'S''3''X''Y' for right now), vastly increase the charging network and sit on those models until they pay down some of their capital improvements, they may show a profit in 5 years. But if they continue to steady grow the catalog before the existing (4) models are in the black (IE: the pickup & the semi), it will take a lot longer than that. Hey! the pickup could be the 'B', the semi could be the 'I', then all they need is 'T, C & H' models.

No, The Model 3 Isn't An Upgrade To the Model S
Let's put it this way; from pics, it looks more upscale & luxurious by far than than the Model S. [Disclaimer: I have not sat in either.]

Continental certainly is not "weak" inside.

One of the handful of Olds' I'd strongly consider owning is the second-year '62 Starfire hardtop, and I do like this 'cut-off' ad, that's pretty unusual in car advertising: Also always liked this ad from '50- a ripping car and huge towering '88' numbers:

And... Cadillac does sell $100K vehicles, this has been pointed out repeatedly. I just googled pics of the Model S interior. A few were prototype pics, but other were labeled '2013' and '2015'. Some issues visible of fitment and ergonomics, but would have to sit in one personally to make a judgement. I can tell you that I have a hard time getting past that tombstone screen plunked in the middle of the dash like it is. Overall, a nice-enough $60K interior, but it's not where a $100K interior should be (again: via pics).
