  1. That's really over-the-top, but at least it brings the g-wagon out of the 1960s it's stuck in.

^ '61 Dodge by the hood louvers.

Neon; you certainly should know since you were there, but.... that's not a 300J in the pic.
  4. ^ That's the one. No flags are coming to mind on the FI question...
  5. What type; solid, blind, drive...? I had to replace the original factory ball joints on the B-59, and they were riveted in. Not too bad a procedure, but I had clear access. Regardless, modern iron is not made for the driveway mechanic to work on, period. You're lucky yours still has a dipstick.
  6. 9/10- missed #1... but one of the questions is incorrect AFA the answers provided, so I get bumped back up to 10/10!

    Me Trivia

I recognize the car & the motor, yes indeed.
  8. I had driver's ed thru my HS, but never drove prior to that. I asked my father repeatedly, but he wasn't down for that sort of thing. :/ Somewhere I have the driver test card, IIRC I passed (first time) with a grade of 93, and I know I passed the written 1st time.
  9. Once, at a meeting of 2,000 dealers, a GM official gave a 1-sentence speech, to mad approval. That 1 sentence became a sort of internal tagline, a driving force. Who said this, and what did it mean? >>"I vant vun for vun!"<<
  10. Stopped to look over & talk to the elderly owner of a 1968 Pontiac Catalina hardtop coupe, black Cordova top over med blue, gorgeous blue interior, 47K original miles, 2bbl 400/auto, A/C. Car has a very very few minor issues, but otherwise is in fantastic shape for a survivor. He said he has 3 people interested, and a standing offer of $3500... but he wants to tinker with it some before he's ready to sell. Will be watching this one...
  11. Just met a nice old guy, 86, with an '02 EC S-10, 10K original miles. It was pristine.
  12. dfelt :: are you reacting mainly to the color scheme/treatments? I can understand objections to those, but "gut" in the industry is pulling down walls, ripping up floors, reconfiguring the layout. Tearing any of that trim out would be a federal crime.
  13. I don't need flowers in the shot, I'm interested in the structure... but OK.
  14. ^ You never did get around to snapping a full-width shot, huh?
  15. Nothing planned here for the foreseable future as far as the daily.
  16. "modern" is fleeting, but quality transends time.
  17. Lest anyone think that this is either BMW-sanctioned, or BMW designed; no. Whatever this looked like originally, it was rebodied (apparently; in a drunken stupor) to obviously resemble the '51 GM LeSabre, for a 1960s TV show. It's quite hideous from all angles.
  18. Man is that a gorgeous machine. Dodge is really banging on all cylinders with Ram- huge individuality/choice to pick from.
  19. Didn't watch the vid, but from the pics, wonderul details. You know you'd get solid materials & quality construction instead of the poor general quality you get in a modern house. Really nice, and would cost a fortune to even approximate the features.
  20. Even with a light turnout, still a nice showing. I was going until that morning, but storm-related repair work kept me in the home area. Thanks for the pics!
  21. If I'm reading them right; tails looks pretty interesting. Anyone have a close-up of 'em?
  22. Seen this type of construction before, where there's no visible weld; never got a reassuring feeling from it. I assume it was spot welded from the backside- can you confirm, Camino? Tho not as likely to see the same degree of use that a pickup does, dropping the tailgate/ setting heavy weight here obviously puts the stress right on that hinge bracket. Pickups, with their 'rotating socket joints' don't do that. Inferior engineering (apples to apples).
  23. >>"CTS-V at 70 mph cruise is louder than the base V6 model"<< So is the M3 over the base model, and the M5 over the base model. That is how this class is engineered, purposely. Non-point.
  24. ^ Looking forward to seeing that, and that could easily go miles towards grabbing buyers vs. a performance stat. I don't see the ELR being marketed as a bona fide sports car, anyway.
  25. Any pics on this, Camino?
