Foose Cruze
VS. the typical Monster Garage fare of vintage iron, there's just not much that can be done with a modern car beyond cosmetic. Whereas on those projects Foose often did subtle 'tricks' like snugging up bumpers, fairing this, adding the performance hood from the SSGSXGT trim, etc, to make a great car look even slicker, this fare just makes it look... the same with kinda blingy paint. I'm not sure what that says; tho undoubtedly it will say different things to different people. I like this treatment, even tho it instantly says 'Interstate Battery'.

The great majority of consumers are sheep that only believe what is written in Consumer Reports. Cadillac is supposed to be above that... a luxury brand, not pushing common, mainstream FWD appliances..Cadillac should .leave the appliances to Chevy and Buick and focus on serious, RWD luxury cars. You aren't addressing some nebulous, upper-tier market slice of spec-conscious enthusiasts, but a micro-NICHE. Cadillac is not tesla or fisker, and neither is BMW or mercedees- the vast majority of their vast volume of consumers are EXACTLY like Paulie's friends.- What $2500 Buys You
Is that really a good price for a 19-yr old car with nearly $100K on it? I certainly haven't checked on accord sale prices anytime (in my lifetime)- just sounds high to me. Hope it is good to your idiot bro.- "Ran when parked"
To illustrate: I bought my first car in '86. It undoubtedly 'ran when parked', but that was 1971. Aside from having to swap out the gas tank/fuel filter due to solidified gas, & rebuilding the carb (I definitely consider these things to be minor) the car ran fantastically. Then again- it was a vintage Pontiac...- Blazing a trail to the USA?
That was an impressive piece of film- very well done.- Cadillac News: Spying: Cadillac CTS
That's kind of a low blow and not relevant to the topic at hand. Well you're not buying an S-Class, a 7-series, or an XTS anytime soon are you? There is a predilection on C&G to pre-judge cars and to declare anything that doesn't fit the person's definition of "a good car" as a crap car that will never ever sell. SMK and you have both been proven wrong by the SRX and Lacrosse. GM clearly has a better read on the market than you two do. As I've told SMK in the past I will tell you too. You cannot judge the future success of the XTS on the efforts of it's competition. It's laughable how many believe a great majority of consumers shop for cars by overall length or which wheels drive.- Cadillac News: Is There A Smaller Cadillac In Store?

At least you could twine the pegboard to your roof- you ain't doing that in a Leaf- "Ran when parked"
If the car has sat less than --say 5 years--, I think the phrase has SOME meaning... as long as the motor is still together (NOT like above). Otherwise, yes; as more & more time passes, it conveys less & less. If it's apart, don't bother. One phrase that sets me on edge is "needs restored". HOW can SO many people get the tense on that so consistently wrong???- Acronym Test
^ That's because Cadillac, right around Day 2, decided 'CTS' meant 'CTS' and not "Catera Touring Sedan'. CTS has been out since Jan 2002- how many times have you seen Cadillac refer to it other than as a 'CTS'? This is how calling the coupe a 'CTS' makes perfect sense IMO, and is a move away from the nonsensical changing the name of the same series car because of different options, engines or body styles..., and back to a more sensible system.- Cadillac News: Spying: Cadillac CTS
Good question, let's e-mail BMW public relations and find out why they have 2 cars nearly the same size! While we're at it, let's e-mail mercedees' public relations and find out why they have 2 cars nearly the same size!- Cadillac News: Is There A Smaller Cadillac In Store?

These stretched, convoluted twists to attribute 'meaning' to 'cool' sounding acronyms is so stupid.- Cadillac News: Spying: Cadillac CTS
ATS equals the 3-series in length. CTS is 1.7" less than the 5-series, or other words; equal. There is no point in growing the CTS 1.7" My reaction here is that, somehow, still, people actually believe the CTS is "uncompetitive" with the 5-series based solely on size (of which there is no discernible difference). In other words, if the CTS was within one-half inch, SOMEONE would still bring up size as an "issue".- Leaping From Spot To Spot
- Cadillac News: Spying: Cadillac CTS
CTS currently IS a very similar size to the 5-series, they're less than 2" apart in OL. It doesn't need to grow a single inch (tho the wheelbase could increase a bit if they wanted it to).- Not your average Pontiac

^ The silver gauge on the pass side is the factory clock- Buick did this for some years in this era. Don't kno what that emblem to the right of the clock is, tho- not factory, that's for sure. Rear quarter emblems are also in a random location- also not factory. Buick 350 is a strong motor- rebuilt to 1971 tune and massaged a bit this would move very surprisingly well. This era does little for me as well tho. Jeers- BMW News: BMW Shows The M6 Before Geneva
BMW really seems to have no stylistic direction; the just twiddle around with minor lines & shapes and call it done. It's tired already...- Cheers or Jeers: 66,000 Mile 1983 Pontiac Bonneville

As of 3 months ago, there were only 20 recharging stations in the state of NJ, and the Leaf isn't available here (explains why I've yet to see one). It will take a number of years to get even a fledgling electric support system in place. If an electric works for your transportation/recharging needs, go for it. BTW, as a contractor, I find it amusing to think of people going to HD, being able to recharge their electric, but being unable to bring home much of anything in such small cars. I watched a guy trying to stuff a 4'x8' piece of pegboard in a RAV4 recently... there was no way. I know, I know; some folk just buy a pack of light bulbs or a petunia...- Not your average Pontiac
