  1. >>"And here's another on-going display to entice the C&G fans... Camaros & Firebirds"<< That's it- I'm out. Only kidding. -- -- -- -- -- >>"...an extremely competitive Pony Car market, coupled with economic restrictions from the parent company required that the two cars share a common platform and the majority of their sheet metal."<< Not true.
  2. I don't consider anything recent in my driveway worthy of a calendar shot (sorry guys!), and the B-59 is still an empty shell on it's frame... but maybe I can swing an 'artsy' shot of the 2500HD at a worksite that would be possible.
  3. My schedule changes weekly- very tough to long-range plan for the most part. But the FuturLiner is an incredible draw for me - pencil me in for attending at this point.
  4. I'm supposed to work @ the Rutgers gaem Sat.... but I very well may have to reschedule that in light of the return of the FuturLiner.... Roger.... any chance you'd have room for a drooling concept vehicle freak in the trunk ??
  5. Well, clearly my garage is the best, and I'm not being remotely subjective here : '40 Ford Cab Over Engine 8-ton cab/chassis truck, flathead, almost road-ready, '59 Buick Invicta hardtop coupe, big block, 2000 pieces, '64 Pontiac Grand Prix hardtop coupe. The worst garages are the ones with japanese generica inside, which is far too many. Seriously, unless it's older than circa '65, I just don't see it / retain the visual.
  6. Not sure that the infrastructure of diesel stations works with the logisitic demands of a police car. Around here, diesel is seemingly sequestered around inter-state highways/ truck routes ... may be a factor with inner-city police car useage.
  7. >>"As I waited in the self-checkout, I counted my money. Exactly $61.01 in my pocket."<< I didn't think the self-check-outs took coin change- those I've used (supermarket, HD)- don't. No embellishing there, B !
  8. '63 Ford Fairlane 2-dr sedan, black, decent & clean, rollin. '67 Olds 442 convert, silver w/ cocoa top, flawless, rollin.
  9. '81-style white T/A with blue 'bird, decent shape, parked, for sale '76-style black T/A, decent shape with fat tires, motoring hard down a county road.
  10. Harumph - that was actually borderline entertaining.
  11. Somewhere I have an article (or at least read it) that a line worker 'went to the top' because he hated the Pegasus name... whether he liked Fiero off said list or what happened next, I don't recall. Have you heard this one, hyper ??
  12. Cmicasa the Great - >>"Personally I am of the opinion that we simply don't need anymore brands here in the U.S. as it is already over saturated. Ideally GM will see that the peanuts that they were getting for Saturn would not even remotely make up for the money that they could potentially lose if Penske's Saturn introduced yet another brand into the U.S. market. I simply don't see the need for anymore IMPORTS being brought into our market. It's ridiculous to believe that this is cool just to say that the brand was saved. Penske would have gotten the Saturn brand for about $100-$200 Million. CHUMP CHANGE in fact, with Fritz's belief that he is getting rid of more of a loss than he could possibly incur if they have to compete with another brand."<< AGREED. >>"As I said before... my real wish is that the Hummer deal falls thru as well, leading GM to merge it with GMC. It was a very profitable brand and doesn't actually need it's name to do what it was doing. The Hummer name could be made into a Trim level in line with the Denali one. Denali being the upper-level near lux version of GMC and the Hummer line being the off-road part of the Division."<< Makes excellent sense, would love to see it !
  13. Buuuuuuttttt... at 23%, GM's fleet sales are far less --percentage-wise-- than hyundais' @ 35%, right ?? I was looking for hyundai fleet numbers via google... came upon a story that mentioned how passing 30% was considered "brand-damaging" and hyundai was then 32%... I think the piece was from '05. I see that number is still climbing steadily : hope they enjoy the ride. And I am readily willing to repeatedly mention the fact that hyundai is the new rental queen, whenever I remember to. You know- 'to get the info out there'.
  14. '63 Sting Ray in morning rush traffic, red & perfect. Last week: '50 Merc coupe, black, mild custom, unchopped, cruisin in heavy traffic.
  15. I still think it was moreso 'too much for Penske to chew' than future product worries. Something doesn't ring straight-up for me here... and I doubted the potential success of the whole thing from the start.
  16. I see nothing wrong whatsoever with the program or the 'fine print'. Undoubtedly, there will be some idiots that will feel 'cheated' because money paid to the DMV isn't repaid by GM or a car with a mashed quarter doesn't get full transaction price back, just like there will be those idiots complaining they canot return their hundai after 1 week (which frankly, seems far more likely). Wow, "restrictions apply" - that's certainly new.
  17. search youtube for 'sequential turn signal' and you'll see a bunch of vids - most of which are aftermarket kits... but there's some factory car there as well.
  18. >>"The "Pandemic Response Bill" would also force health providers to vaccinate people, authorize forcible entry into private homes, and impose fines or prison sentences on anyone not complying with isolation or quarantine orders."<< Anyone who didn't see something of this magnitude rumbling down the social engineering highway hasn't been paying attention. That a climate exists that an ideal like this can even be proposed seriously, is a travesty. Without a doubt; more to follow.
  19. Sequentials ~ T-bird : '65- at least 69 (verified). They were not available on the '73s (verified) tho the '73s certainly were 'set up' for them... cannot verify anything between '69-73 tho. Interesting that the originator dropped them before the Cougar. Cougar : '67-73 (verified). Shelby : '68-70 (according to web).
  20. I know you know that's the Sixteen, reg.
  21. It can't hurt, but it certainly won't help. Good luck!
  22. >>"her nails or how much coffee she's consumed... the weather, what new restaurant I ate at, etc."<< The inane, now on the electrical grid.
  23. Worst car interior I ever was in was a BMW 3-series. All these years- still the worst seats to endure, hands down, by far. Awful.
  24. The inane, glorified.
  25. Isn't that some folks' current reality ??
