  1. Hey that's me!! I've been waiting for a long long time, I'm a GM guy so I can't really look elsewhere. It would be nonsensical to get rid of these trucks. The market trend is going towards smaller vehicles anyway, so why not improve these smaller vehicles(Canyon)and more people would flock to them.
  2. Well as is the truck falls way behind in the towing department. Even with the addition of a V8 it wil still be below some of the trucks in this segment. I attribute this to the chassis not being strong enough.
  3. Well the Canyon would have been a good choice. The H3 Alpha is way out of my price range, and I still do want a Wrangler Unlimited(Rubicon) and god knows when the H4 will finally be released.
  4. According to this article it is a distinct possibility. I of course was eyeing this for my next truck to replace my current truck. This combination of a V8 in a small package is very enticing, because I like to offroad a little and this truck would be sweet for this purpose. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/13/v8-chev...yed-until-2009/
  5. It's more than likely that it is the Traverse people.
  6. The Free Press is not a gurantee of a good review for any car from Detroit. The BIG 3 pretty much grab the front page when it comes to anything newsworthy, and if Toyota recalled 500,000 vehicles this info gets buried in the 4th section of the newspaper.
  7. This is my idea of a "badass bike" http://www.ducati.com/od/ducatinorthameric...html?model=2390
  8. Now if this car could only help to erase the $39 billion loss, GM would be on their way.
  9. The Detroit Free Press has not been one of the nicest when it comes to covering American cars in the past and even the present. This is a trend that is not just reserved for the Detroit papers, but for all the nationwide media. More and more excellent reviews of the Malibu are spreading like wildfire. Read for yourself... http://freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID...1015/BUSINESS02
  10. Well that is better than the ** American cars usually get
  11. Those overly stuffy Brits have given the CTS a thumbs-up in their review! I would have never of thought that in a million years they would have liked an American vehicle, and a Cadillac at that! Read the link from CAR Magazine below. http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/first_drive.p...1236&page=1
  12. !!!!WHAT????!!!! This is very bad news, and not needed when they are trying to get back on the up swing.
  13. For an econo car it is not bad. I think it is more refine than the old, which is what it needed. But I agree it does fall short on the gas mileage aspect. Besides that...Who is the hot chick in the photo?!
  14. Apparently they forgot about the Aura, and the new Malibu. It sounds like they need to broaden their horizons.
  15. Everyone wants to tout E85, but what they don't know is that there is a 20-30% loss in fuel economy associated with this fuel. It burns very fast, almost like race fuel. So there is one way the H2 and H3 could save gas if they did a little smart engineering for the future, and it is not with the engines. Dump the full-time-4wd!! There is so much driveline loss/strain that it is like trying to drive through a mud-bog all the time. The diesels can't come soon enough, but that is a goal that is way out there...yet. You would be lucky to see 13-14mpg in a H2. Don't get me wrong though I do like the H3, the H2 less so, only because I road in one on trip back from Canada and I thought I was going to need my butt amputated. The worst seats I have ever experienced, I would have had a more enjoyable time sitting on nails. The H2 got 5-6 instant mpg shown on the dash towing a trailer at 70-75mph...yikes!!
  16. They are all over the place here in MI, of course I work for a certain car company and all the higher-ups are driving them to and from work. I would volunteer to drive one, but I'm on the bottom of the barrel so they don't give those perks to us.
  17. Check out these new links for this car!! What an awesome looking car, with performance to boot. http://www.prattmillerc6rs.com/ http://prattmiller.com/customernews.php?NewsID=524 http://prattmiller.com/gallery.php?id=251
  18. Well if the H3 Alpha goes up into the high $40,000 range, I'm sure the H3T will follow suit.
  19. Well according to Autoblog these vehicles are going away very shortly, the next round may include the Commander. I personally love the Magnum wagon, especially in SRT form. I think the Pacifica is a great vehicle, why didn't they market it as a crossover or give it the subtle makeover it needs? I guess we will never find out. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/31/chrysle...ifica-pt-cruis/
  20. The H3T is going to look awful anyway, I think everybody is right when they say that. Give me the H4 or nothing at all.
  21. This one of the most important releases by GM, and it should be getting way way more more attention than a little blurb. I know all the info is not out yet, but this is the best thing to come out next to the new Hybrid SUVs being released. Here you go... http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/15/gm-anno...-the-hummer-h2/
  22. No because too many so-called "Americans"(Californians)are still in love with Toyota and too may so-called "Americans"(media too)want to bash away at American car companies. The swing in bias is still too great with both of the opposite coasts primarily buying imports. I think my sister and my brother in law are the last great hope on the west coast that buy GM, and not because they can get a discount from my dad. They actually like the product and will continue to buy GM.
  23. Press says the automaker is studying its model lineup and looking to eliminate models that are competing with one another. "We have models that overlap, where we've got two or three vehicles that serve the same market segment or maybe the same customer, and we actually compete with each other," he says. "That's not very efficient." They have come out and said this publicly elsewhere recently, and this is one of the best things they have admitted to. This statement alone is the road to making them very competitive again. I'm glad they have said this because they have had to really really cut the bloated lineup by a ton for such a long time. Then they can focus on putting out a far better product, which they have needed for some time. I only like a few products that they put out and I think alot of people feel the same way, you can't sell cars/trucks if you only have a few that are getting attention by the media or the average consumer.

I have to disagree with you on the look of last gen Malibu SS/Cobalt SS wheels. GM should have come out with a lot better wheel than that instead of relying on what they had sitting around. Its a brand new car that deserves a brand new wheel. Why keep a detail of any indication of the old crap they were churning out?!
  25. Why does GM have to make everything look like the G6 GXP Street Edition?!! Absolutely horrible the way they have to over dress all these cars/trucks. I know its SEMA and you have to go over the top, but do it in a tasteful way...please!!
