  1. Would VW make up their mind already?! First it was this spring, then this summer, and then this fall, and now back to this summer. But, holy crap up to 60mpg on the freeway sign me up!! Oh wait diesel prices are off the charts too, maybe I will hold off.
  2. I know a couple of people that work in the Orion plant. It irks me with their attitudes that GM "owes" them something. Get a clue that not everything in life should be handed to you. They have not even been in the UAW for 30+ years either, maybe at the most 2-5 years. They have that same brainwashed mentality that they instill. As far as I'm concerned I don't care if they are out of a job. I know that is harsh to say, but that is what you are there for - to do a job!
  3. The front locking diff is big news. All the Jeep guys were always saying the H3 was not a true offroader without one. Now look it has one! They still make light of the front suspension setup saying its the weak link and all the components will snap like a twig. The new issue of JP magazine laid into the H3 and the HX concept.
  4. Whats the real world MPG on the Lambdas? I don't see too much of an improvement with the DI engine. And its true these Lambdas could go on a bit of a diet, which would help out a lot.
  5. According to VW's site the Jetta diesel will now be coming fall of this year?! They keep pushing the date back, maybe they are running into some unknown problems.
  6. HALLELUJAH THE G6 IS GETTING A 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC!! This car has deserved some serious upgrades to the point that I thought GM was abandoning it.
  7. Well that is very stupid, the whole line needs the 6-speed to bring it out of the dark ages. They are probably going to charge quite a premium I'm sure just to get this option...grrrr.
  8. Gross! Not much to write home about here, this is a car that goes to show you how unimaginative designers are becoming. Camry frontend, Chrysler Sebring backend, and then a mish mash of other car designs in between. I agree that the current Aura is a much better looking car. Sorry GM after firing a string of recent hits, this one is a dud!

    Should I?

Only if it had the 19" wheels...lol! Of course I would do it!
  10. I just saw a new Challenger in red this morning...very sweet!! I also saw another Dodge Nitro with the new whatever diesel they are going to use in them.
  11. Saweet!! Guns are cool, especially target shooitng, I love it!!
  12. It is not a local shop, it is the GM Accessory Design Center in Auburn Hills. If you go to gmnext.com they talk about the car and show a very small amount of it in the video with the GM accessory manager.
  13. I saw a Dodge Nitro with an M-Plate on it with a Diesel in it. It had the CRD badge on the back and when I got up next to it at the light you could hear the faint sound of that distinct dieselness. Very sweet, this looks promising for Chrysler.
  14. Here is some more good news for you H3 fans for the MY 2009. These details they keep adding to them are starting to make me forget about a 4-door Wrangler. http://blogs.fourwheeler.com/6236540/whats...-h3t/index.html
  15. It will be tricky getting into this car, I've stood next to it scratching my head wondering how many tall people will bang their heads on the roof, without the roof on it won't be a problem. I am short(5'6)so I am lucky in a sense getting into this car.
  16. An actual G8 not some car with autoshow pics like the others I've seen. Very nice car indeed! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-PONTIA...tem110233485636
  17. I don't remember where I heard this, it might have been Autoline Detroit, but GM actually sells their transmissions to BMW and not the other way around. Maybe someone can do some research on this.
  18. That sums it up right there, but I say kill the H2 way way before this supposed 2014 date. You know how long it takes GM to do revamps on a vehicle, they need to get crackin' now!!
  19. They can't afford it with the present projects that they are doing. The consolidation of GM Powertrain in Michigan, and the expansion of their Powertrain HQ in Italy.
  20. +2 What a waste of a vehicle that should have never even come out.
  21. You brought up an interesting thing there. Family 0 and the family 1. Expect to see this stuff in everything, and I mean everything!
  22. Well I will make a few short comments and leave most of the arguing to everyone else. I agree on most points that GM is reverting back to exactly what they wanted to eliminate, and that was too many duplicate products in the same market. It creates from my point of view too much infighting for sales which doesn't always equal sales for every vehicle. Look at what is happening with the Aura, sales are down 33% while the Malibu is a runaway hit. Why? They don't know how to balance all these similar vehicles. Most if not all of the ad dollars got dumped into the Malibu while the Aura is getting left behind. The Malibu and the Aura are very very similar cars to the point that most "average buyers" I've talked to can't tell the difference between the two of them when they see them on the road. It is only when they are side by side they can see the differences. It is time to clean house again, I think. Each brand within GM has become - a me to me too, I want that to, we need that. It is sickening.
  23. It would be an even better concept if they had a biodiesel hybrid like the recent release of the VW.
  24. That's what I said too, nice car, but $42,000?! I guess it is good they are building a limited number of them, because if they tried to to do a full run of this car they would not be able to sell all of them.

    Golf Hybrid

Anything to put the liberal hollywood loved Prius is fine by me. The new Jetta TDI coming out will smack it anyway, but everyone wants to jump on the Toyota is god bandwagon for some reason. I would rather have a VW anyday.
